To everyone bitching about the audience. I was there,(can even see me in the video a few times haha) this was a free block party at a hostel. Multiple bands played. Singapore sling is one example. The block party was about praising local Icelandic music not just black metal. So pop, folk even comedy was going on. Most of my metal head friends weren't even there. If you live in iceland or have been there enough, you'll have seen these guys multiple times. Chill out and enjoy the music for fucks sake.
I envy you. Best music and an audience who really appreciates it regardless of how "heavy" it is. You got any job openings or room openings over there you let me know. haha. I'm ready to become an expatriate any day now!!
In place where I live it's impossible to have a such a great response from the ordinary audience while playing black \ noise music at all, in Iceland even ordinary peple have a bit of understanding of art and not shy to show their emotions, this is so great!
yeah man. this is definitely not the USA. the audience of "normies" most likely wouldn't be smiling and nodding their heads or respectful like these folks at all. but instead they'd have a scowl on their faces, be staring at their phones most of the time, debating wether or not they should call the cops bc of a "noise ordinance", screaming at their kids to stay still, there would have to be a funnel cake/ice cream/hamburgers, fries and hotdogs in their hands and they would be a bit more rotund and a lot less blonder(unless its blonde highlights)....
i return to this performance over and over because of the vibe of respect and appreciation and the utmost respect for Misþyrming's being down to earth and putting their blood and soul into their performance.
I am staring at the screen, WTF just happened? Great performance, non metal people are headbanging, children are headbanging... this must be some another planet :))
@@Falxifer95 Amazing place. Went there for Oration and Ascension festival every year. Just an incredible experience both inside the festival and outside. I'm English so I wasn't put off by the Nordic reputation of 'coldness' (can't be any colder than the English!) and turns out they weren't! Just buy a drink at a bar, pull up a seat and chat to the guy next to you, you'll be alright! Made a bunch of friends there. Iceland is a beautiful country, not just geographically. Reykjavik is a really wonderful city to spend time in; probably a better place to live in than to try and gasp at all the sights of as a tourist, really. Would love to spend more time there.
This live performance always amaze me, not just because of the powerful and flawless band playing, but also the crowd being “avarage people” enjoying Extreme Metal with respect and curiosity. 🤘🏻
Pretty sure there's at least one or two new songs here! Amazing performance and really refreshing to see a crowd really enjoy it even though many of them probably aren't even into metal, because the festival is a multi-genre one. So heart-warming to see them receive it so well anyway!
They actually played a couple of songs that aren’t in the album and it makes me so frustrated that we haven’t heard them yet. I really hope they make a album soon.
I'm sure I will check some of that out. No replacement for attending a live show exists, but I do enjoy the youtube age where you can search out so many great sets.
It's nice to see a front man who MEANS IT! far too rare in black metal....same can be said for drummers who play like men and head bang whilst doing so. i love this band.
I love how unapologetically outrageous they are. Just ramming instruments and screaming from the bottom of your ass. - Basically what I did as a teen, but then better. XD
do you srsly hear it this way or are you just turning shitpost on? I find this band inaudible at times but I can recognize some well crafted riffs here and there. I mean that I listen to them as a black metal band and thats it
Metalhead are normal people anyway.when observing ordinary people in life , those attending black metal gig or death metal gig have the same way of being.only misanthropy is real.
Pewnie o wolności jednostki, złym kościele katolickim i wszechwładzą korporacji.

"t's so strange to see normal people headbanging to it" do you mean the Justin Bieber lookalike on stage? truly, this is weird, and all this new hip post-DSO iceland thing really lacks some fundamentals regarding Black Metal, since there´s more to it than just good music, right?
I see you guys get crazy mad towards new stuff in Black Metal. Jesus, if it's not your thing, you just don't listen to it and everything will be fine. Your favorite bands won't disappear. I bet you don't like metalcore but I don't think you're on their videos talking about how they displease you. I see a little bit of truth when you talk about their scene, but really, whatever...

musta been quite the contrast to hear pop music, then immediately after you hear misþyrming
You’re the one with the vest & Absu patch?

+colossalvoid agree with you on that! really amazing to see this.
Plot twist: it's the family being supportive.
All in Iceland must be related to a certain extent. Reykjavik is like a big village.

Pretty cool seeing this crowd enjoying Misþyrming. Kid at the end was losing his shit.
What a beautyful shit is to see kids and old people enjoying black metal. Icelandic people are in another state of evolution
i return to this performance over and over because of the vibe of respect and appreciation and the utmost respect for Misþyrming's being down to earth and putting their blood and soul into their performance.
This is one of my favorite concert clips of all time. I continue to access it time and again.

Iceland is the promised land.

What a voice! Man!
These guys and Audn have been in my daily rotation.
Even if you didn't like the music. How could you not love the energy

I'd kill to see these guys live.
smallest stage ever yet they sound so fucking brutal, best bm band from iceland easy.

Amazing Band.

4th time viewing...if my memory of past intoxicated nights is entirely correct. I love it.
I enjoyed Zhrine at the last Messe des Morts. I am still pissed off I can't make it to North of the Wall.
I'm sure I will check some of that out. No replacement for attending a live show exists, but I do enjoy the youtube age where you can search out so many great sets.
Love this band .Got their debut...
That album is a modern day masterpiece.

Great Band... Viva Brasil.. Viva IslÂndia
This is pure music not like fucking the Dimmu Borgir crap or Dark Funeral
Thanks for saying that
Imagine if this live show took place in America - you'd have some SJW protesting about blackface.

Tom Infinit to judge by appearance you lose substance before you even speak.
keeping stagnation alive.
it's funny how the black metal genre gives dumb people the opportunity to be an elitist:)
Cry me a river
Dude this band and a beer OH YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
