He's playing like a fucking brick and lacks the "touch" not to mention the constant rushing and chopping of the fills. Pretty average if you except the syncopated pseudo blast beat
What I love about this band, how they can create something that at first may sound like noise, but it you give it a chance, you will find that so much beauty lays underneath. Amazing performance.
Agalloch is my absolute favourite band. Their music helped me through the most depressive time in my life and still gives me strength beyond imagining. But even I have to admit, John’s live vocals sometimes don’t sound too well.. love it anyways. If there’ll be a reunion some day, I am the happiest man on earth.
One of their best performances live, they nailed this song, and it's one of my favorite by them. I love this band so much, they've been with me through my happiest and darkest of times
What an amazing performance of this song by the band. One of their best songs, yet Agalloch has so many good songs. Also, the drumming performance in this song is INSANE, especially during the outro. Reminds me of the early days back when Dave Lombardo played drums for Slayer, this is a big compliment of course. What a shame that they disbanded. They created music that no other band could, Into The Painted Grey is a great example. So is the whole Mantle album.
@@JvanEdits Yay! They delivered a super tight show. Played a nice long set of all the favorites. Didn't even sound like they hadn't been together for so long.
I just recently ran across Agalloch 'the Mantle' CD/Album and was pretty blown away. I also just recently heard the re-mastered version of their 'Pale Folklore' CD/Album which is equally cool. Agalloch is one of the coolest Progressive/Black/Atmospheric bands I have heard from the USA ever. Plus it's always cool when the band can pull off the same sound/feel 'LIVE' as the CD/Album. Cool video. I am a fan.
This is an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE. 6:22 can't remember any other song (maybe Angel of Death from Slayer) where I rewinded that often... Even better on album.
Have you ever realized that Agalloch's disband isn't the real thing that is sad... They left behind music that god if existed cannot even Create. What's really sad and leaves me empty is watching this and realizing. I will never be able to witness this perfection of a band at a live show....
You blame him? He's awesome, but that was way to much for anyone. Even the slowdowns here are for the guitars, Aesop still has a lot of stuff going on.
Painted Grey is right. These guys made paintings for your ears. Is there anything else even close? I mean not "pandora suggestions" close, but actually close
@@dimetime4515 woods is fantastic; I like sojourner also. I'll have to check out waldgefluster - thanks! Woods V in particular, takes you on a journey with the record, like the mantle, even though with a style very different from agalloch
@@mattmovesmountains1443 my thoughts exactly. waldgefluster's dahoam is reminiscent of early agalloch. another band i forgot to mention is Gallowbraid-only on bandcamp and youtube-who's album Ashen Eidolon is the closest thing ive heard to agalloch outside of the band themselves.
What is up with this crowd though? There's like one dude headbanging at the front and the rest are goddamn statues. I don't know how anyone could stay still during this song.
How long shall I suffer here? I miss this band so much.
I really dont understand why something amazing always has to be disappeared...
The best band would stop playing huh.... makes sense I guess. Too pure for us mortals.
Check the news : )

his vocals are great in this. I think the tonal quality was a secondary priority coming 2nd to him trying to sing in character. he slayed it
interesting! i find his vocals better live
How did this kind of music helped with depression? This is already depressing
@@franciscoricarte7788 this doesnt cheer me or happy, but in a weird way makes me feel strength & joy reveling in my own deep depression.

this is undoubtably one of the best bands in history. So underrated yet so talented and unique in their vision. Sad that they broke up
I hope you heard about the reunion my dude 🤘
The reunion may open a possibility in a near future, they're amazing together
I AM SEEING THEM LIVE IN 3 WEEKS!
Hope you had fun dude!

Melo black metal? Huh u sure?

They have risen!
The best band ... Agalloch is music for soul, quality, and more ...

They take me to beautiful and distant lands where forgotten memories resurface from the collective unconscious. This is magic.
Віртуозно, потужно, чарівно! Надзвичайно класна музика Agalloch
Wow, what a sound!! Big up for the sound engineer.
Extremamente uma Ótima , banda que nunca deveria ter acabado! Saudades! #agalloch
That was fucking amazing!!! Worship the wizards of tone.
that music has soul. Love it.
Impresionante!!!!!
their lives are just as good as their records
The only metal band that make you feel calms 🤘🏼🔥❤️

Sad to say I would not go to a 21st one.
All good things end.
they're back!
Muito bom !
¡¡¡LARGA VIDA A AGALLOCH !!! 🤜
Tremenda banda, lástima nunca pude verlos en vivo, saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
شاهکار.
Great preformance. Prob the best ItPG done live ever. Aesop seems to be exhausted in last two minutes tho
10 minutes of constant blastbeat, I would probably have died. :D

The drummer keeps accelerating the tempo :(
That's not uncommon with bands that play without backing tracks. Keeps the thing rock'n'roll.
Aesop Dekker, one hell of a drummer, please come back, all is forgiven!!!
