- Ok this one is pretty cool
We get to build and work on a ton of rad bikes, so we’re pretty spoiled that way
But every now and then a project comes along that’s absolutely next level
This is one of those builds
From tire to tire this is BDR, light ADV bike perfection
Want us to build you one like this?
Let’s tacobout it ⚡️🌮⚡️

I can't wait for that tower to become available. I need that on my bike!
Me too!
@@RRM707 me too!
Adventure Men Cave makes a pretty sweet rally tower that's worth checking out as well!
@dylancole2101 that’s a good one. Side by side, feature for feature the Taco Tower will be a very strong contender
@@TACOMOTOCO you can’t ever go wrong with anything Taco Moto in my opinion!
as an Aussie i’m stoked and love the Yenkro tower…small and compact, doesn’t scream adventure rider….breakaway screen in genius!
A suggestion would be an enduro screen that could be put on for singletrack/enduro that just covers the body of the tower….
Received my build from Taco Moto a few weeks ago.....I cannot recommend them enough...They go the extra mile and do a lot of extras.....well worth the money.....quality work...Thanks guys!
Major congrats! I bet it's an absolute beauty!!
😮 The inside handguard mirrors are... Something I want to take to my street bike..🍺
I have had my Yenkro tower on my 24 for over 6months now, no issues I have the tall and short screen. I run the short most of the time now in hot weather. I like that you run no screen in really hot weather. I have had 3 big offs where I popped the screen and each time popped it back on no issues. The lights are next level.
Closest i have ever heard an American pronounce the name correctly. Grreat build.
That windscreen "pop off" feature is very intuitive. It will also make getting my bike into the van easier! Can't wait!
Beautiful. I’m interested in the 4.5 gallon fuel tank and snorkel when they become available for my 24 FE350S.
Sick build Mike. Love it.
Can we talk about that beast of a soft serve machine in the back? Is there an ice cream taco in our future????
Great Job guys - this is why you’ll always have my business. Great products very well thought out. Pure enjoyment all over that bike. I have the same bike 2023 model and the GET system is my next purchase !
Love that bike.
Heck yeah. I am a smaller rider planning a similar Beta RS build. Cush, Taco Tower, tank, tail tidy (love the breakaway!), go!
Good to see someone step outside the 'list of my fantasy sponsors' style graphics . I'm fully behind people building a 'BDR special' (I did it with an XR600) but it seems like this will lead to an unofficial lap record - human nature and all that.
Yenkro tower, well done Jo! Well done, I love mine
Nice build. I just (almost) finished my '23 KTM 500. Went with the light tower from AMC because of the enclosed lights. But I really like what you are creating with this tower, especially due to all the wiring that seems much more protected.
The bike is ok I guess, but I’m interested in the soft serve ice cream machine
Nice looking bike for sure. You talked about silicone on the tube, I’ve been liberally applying rubber grease on the tubes before install to help prevent pinch flats. A.Riemann here in Aus has a good video on it. You guys are the best, learnt so much, referenced your video on fuel pump issues and saved me $$$.
back in my day of racing MX/SX/AX i always applied baby powder on the tubes before installing. Never had a single flat in 8 yrs of racing and off road mountain riding which I find amazing.
Wow!!! I'll take it
Amazing!!! Once again you have taken a bike that is essentially useless from the factory, and made it beyond-competitive and capable of any adventure under the sun! Good job guys! 🎉
useless from the factory? k bruh
I’m ready to get my build going after this video.
Sweet bike right🤘🏽🏁🤘🏽
This bike looks very familar!! I absolutely love my Taco Moto build and the new owner of this bike is getting one heck of a bike!
😂$mart A$$🪄
Another outstanding bike build by Taco Moto! Superb stuff sir. I noticed no Left Hand Rear Brake Lever, which I feel is a game changer in all sorts of riding. Regardless, that bike is flawless. Another great show.
I like that tower setup
Love the graphics. Something different!
Me too, very nice indeed.
Can you please provide more information on the heat shield protecting the rear shock?
Why change out the switch for the blinker, horn, and high beam? I feel that the stock is much higher quality. I’ve had that style fail on me a couple times, albeit after quite a few years of use. Also they let in a good bit of water after cleaning. Sweet build. That tower is awesome, Ktm could definitely make a ‘rally’ adventure bike by just kitting one of these out with a big tank, tower, and maybe beefier subframe
Do you sell the hand guard mounting set up here on your site with the Maco360. I see the highway dirt bikes, ultimate hand guards but not the mounts on the inside, close to the Mako. Love this setup!! What an amazing build.
love the light set up. very similar to my DRZ400 build. I run a diode dynamics for my high beam, but i chose the Baja Designs Squadron pro for my main driving light, has a great pattern for it. I dialed it down to 80%. then used a Honda X-ADV 750 scooter for the windshield. I get comments everywhere I go. have several that want me to build them one too. But what are you doing about the oil changes that are required fro warranty. some BDR are much much longer than the scheduled services. for me I would not take that bike on a bdr if I had to change oil in route. AS I have 54,000miles of no issues on my DRZ400. this set up i could probably afford 3 DRZ400's. while i love your build, Ill take a DRZ400 on a bdr very this any day. zero break down are what it all about. but have to say, your build is awesome, im just more old school reliability type of rider.
Awesome
Taco you need to sort out a luggage rack for us who want to carry Mosko 80s and the kitchen sink. Still waiting for anyone to make one, looks like true north has put it on the back burner. When is the new fuel pick up ready for the market?
Mike please elaborate on the wheel speed sensor relocation. That little wire drives me crazy!
How can I get the bark busters/ mirror combo?
Nice! Make that tower for the beta now!!
350 for life.
Never really been into towers but I Love that tower!
Same same here. This is the only tower that we want to install and ride on our personal bikes
I like this build a lot. the nav tower is superb. I'm thinking about ditching my old 690 and 350 for a 500. Where did you land on the Beta Vs the KTM? I'm shorter, so the Beta is appealing.
Did you remove the air box reeds? I am also interested in that fuel tank snorkel. I looked on your site, but could not find it.
Whats the weight on the tower with the lights? TMC is awesome!! Huge fan.
Any updates on when the taco moto oil filter is restocking?
Any plans to sell towers for the CRF300L?
Opportunity, I have a Beta build very similar to this build. A weak link for an ADV build are the subframes, I think this may be an issue with KTMs as well. They’re a bit spindly (lite hollowed out and webbed molded plastic) a more robustly built component would be a + for the guys packing 35+ lbs for more than a few days.
Subframe is for sure an issue
Taco moto is developing a line of rear racks, stay tuned
Can that new get ecu switch be purchased seperatly and installed on a taco moto sx1 that I bought a few months ago?
I would also like to know this !!!
I need to secure my clutch tubing on my RFS. I have the Voyager pro on it and the clutch tubing drives me nuts. I got mine in the billet cage for protection from damage and thieves. Does anyone make a rally tower for a 2004 450 EXC? I run the MotoMinded bracket that manages the wiring and makes the headlights mask solid.
Nice build Mike! No suspension mods on this one?
Totally spaced that, fully re sprung and re valved in house. Sorry for missing that one
does using the Scott stabilizer under bar mount mean you have to take off or disable the steering lock? On the 2024 models the steering lock is right there around the head stem.
It’s removed for this installation
Can you write the name on the tires?
Hey Mike. What are your thoughts on the 690/701? I never see you dealing with them. I'm torn on selling my 501 and moving to the 690. Just thinking it would be better for those longer highways miles.
The title says ktm 500, but the plastics looks like a husky 501. Am seeing it wrong?
I'm going down to baja all the way down to cabo and back and probably doing 40% off road and the rest on road.. Been racking my brain on whether to get a 500/501 or 690/701. This bike makes me think 500 but will it be a good lang travel bike?
I'm in the same boat in not knowing to go 500/501 or 690/701 but trending to 690/701 for lesser service intervals and more of a cruiser. Any feedback is welcomed!
What is he doing for rack/luggage?
Mosko 40
Directly on the tail. Packing light
@@TACOMOTOCO I'm on my 4th set of tail support plastics with my 2017 FE and Mosko R40... I know Husqvarna updates this part of the bike with every new iteration, but I would tell the owner NOT to ride straight onto a BDR without some sort of tail strengthening.
Great build! Did you say that this new GET ECU adds quick shift, or is that an available standard feature?
This map switch on the SX1 ecu on an Austrian bike has quick shift 🏁🔥🏁
I'm picking up what you're putting down! Thank you!
@@TACOMOTOCO Please explain! I bought your GET ECU for my 2024 501s a few months back. Are you saying I bought it too soon and my old style map switch is now obsolete? or is this new map switch a paid upgrade? if there is a way to just purchase the new map switch, please let me know and I'm going to be purchasing it immediately. thank you.
@@PowerSports we’re going to offer a map switch upgrade program. Info will be coming soon via email. Stay tuned 🤜🏽🤛🏽
@@TACOMOTOCO THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!!! i was awake all night worried i'd have to buy a new ECU 😅😅😅
Silcone on the tube... did I miss a video on doing this?!!?
Silicone lube on the tube
Video not made just yet
ahhhhhhh, too be rich.
You have a Soft Serve machine in your shop!?!
Work hard party hard 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Do you know if this tower will be developed for Beta?
We’ll have a beta fitment next year
@@TACOMOTOCO Thanks!
Is that an icecream machine?
Work hard party hard
What's the price
@@TACOMOTOCOMike, could I ask what this bike would cost to have you do an identical build? Probably one of the best and most comprehensive builds I have ever seen, well done!!
@@TACOMOTOCOAlso … for a BDR how many miles do you feel like you could go between oil changes??
@@TACOMOTOCO You must mean on top of the bike price, right?
@@jaredandersen82 "Mike, could I ask what this bike would cost to have you do an identical build?" a bike like this would go for the high 20's low 30's all in: the bike and the build (parts and labor)
@@jaredandersen82 "Also … for a BDR how many miles do you feel like you could go between oil changes??" with the taco moto oil filter, a high spec PAO ester based oil we're doing up to 2k miles, 60-70 hours
😂 what's it cost 20K? More😮?! I'm sorry I can only part with one kidney 😞
This bike all in is in the high 20’s low 30’s USD
Do you accept a kidney as a downpayment?
Practical components seem excellent but that's probably the ugliest bike I've ever seen in my life.
These graphics aren’t for everyone, but they did get your attention 😎
