badass!!! for those of you that don't know, Mike at Taco Moto Co is a GOD when it comes to anything ktm, or any dirtbike for that matter. As far as innovation, rebuilding and maintenance and tuning is concerned, there's really nobody better than taco moto co. His product, bike and accessory knowledge is second to none. He treats every customer's bike like it's his own and doesn't cut corners anywhere. If you want it done right, there's no better place to take your bike than to mike and his team at taco moto co. while you're there ask him about the next taco tour coming up and be prepared to have a blast riding dirtbikes and chowing down on some bomb ass tacos. I promise you; it'll be an experience you won't forget. Braaaaaaaap!

Great build Mike that's exactly the build I'd do though on a 350 and with a bigger tank.
Love the heat shields. One suggestion is heat shielding for the 6 inches inside the right leg behind the frame. I've burnt my soft luggage straps on that twice when laying the bike over with a hot bike. Only takes 3 seconds of contact to destroy a perfectly good strap on $1000 soft luggage.

LOL!! I see you are doing what I have for years by safety wiring brake clips. Also marking fasteners with Dykem Cross Check is a smart move. All it takes is one time losing a brake pin to ruin a ride!! Good job on the build Sir!!

Great video and bike as usual. How do you remove the forks with the top shrink covers? Also, installing the fork stanchion covers you must have to remove the forks to install, then cleaning the forks must be difficult because they don't have a zip or velcro fastening system. Is a strip out the forks to clean? Appreciate your time.

Hey Mike,I just picked up a 2024 ktm 500 exc,it’s deleted with the titanium fmf 4.1 and running a euro map with reeds still in the air boot…This bike feels super underwhelming! All I hear is how they’re a beast… not so much from my experience so far…will the vortex be a significant difference over a euro map? I just need some more power. I was thinking of even going down a tooth up front to a 13t and leaving the stock 48 rear sprocket to see how that does before changing the rear as well, that should give me a bit more punch that I’m looking for. But my question is mainly about the vortex compared to euro map..will I even notice it? Or will the 13t front sprocket provide more seat of the pants feeling than the vortex ecu? Thanks! Love the content btw! Good stuff!
