The 3 drawer box and 2 tool combo kit is a pretty solid deal at $159. Ordered 3 and plan on keeping the 3 boxes and 1 of the combo kits. Hacks out to $62 for the box and $97 for the kit. Thanks again toolhead.

The 3 piece was just $199 recently. Lowe’s has been pulling some BS lately. Just like the Kobalt kit that was $99 plus a BOGO. Now it’s $220 with no BOGO.

Can you return the rolling pack and keep the free gift for a reduced price?

@@PrecursorYang you can try. A lot of people do. I think it depends on the store

My Lowes did not - depends on the store manager. Ace Hardware also will not let you return a BOGO deal either.

After my recent tool buying spree, you can only return a bogo item if you buy the products in store only. They haven't made it like Home Depot where you can buy online and return one item. Kinda sucks because I'd rather have it the other way because if they don't carry the item in store, you can't really "Hack" it. Unless you buy online then return both items and then rebuy the same exact items in store. Thats like the only way but then again you will have to do another transaction/return. But in some cases, the associates might have to put the item that they don't carry in the store in their inventory for the store so you can rebuy. I know it sounds weird but I've struggled with it for a bit but then some of my peeps at my Lowes told me to buy in store and that's how I found out.

At the bottom of any Lowes page, scroll to the bottom. Under Customer Service click Returns and Exchanges. Then Scroll down to Frequently Asked Questions and look for the question about BOGOs. Here's their answer "If you purchased items as part of a BOGO promotion, the purchase discount will be prorated to each item proportionately. If you choose to return any of the items, your refund will be equivalent to the prorated amount." This is effectively a statement of policy. If you get pushback on a return, simply cite this. I've had no trouble doing BOGO returns with either in-store or online purchases. The advantage to buying in-store is that the receipt will show the prorated amounts, whereas the online receipt will show the full price for the main item and the free item is zeroed out. There is no effective difference, though. When you do the return for online orders, the prorated amount is generated. Hope this helps.
