The thing is, the devs have tried something unprecedented with the current patch. Yes humans are clearly OP but for the first time since the games release one build is actively at war with itself, arguably more than with any other build. So every buff to the human build could ultimately spell doom for it. It may not be the most efficient way of nerfing or banning a build, but they are experimenting with something new and I praise them for it.

Kaiser free? hardly. they are actually pretty durable. the only thing they struggle with is being grabbed in all honesty. brute force doesn’t work on sea sponges. plus the animals that could grab them hard enough to do any real damage don’t eat them usually, so they almost never have bad matchups outside of humans who use them in products.

I love that you and the Vsauce crew collaborated, but... Your distinctly different speech styles are entirely jarring when you're trying to edit the segments as back to back information dumps without any kind of transition. The Vsauce crew are known for their segmented, slow speech styles as to allow the viewer time to process what's being said. Yours is more... Casual conversational speed. Putting them together without any kind of transition is very noticeable. Just an FYI. Other than that, excellent video with more great info on the animal kingdom. Also the VSauce background music works well for their slower style of video, but not for TierZoo which works really well with video game music. Also it's weird seeing a human face pop in to a TierZoo video, especially since TierZoo's style is imitating video game strategy videos that don't usually have a talking head.
I gotta say, placing spotted Hyena intelligence somewhere around 50 (compare to the newer vid on Hippos, placing them near 60-65) is a gross underestimation. Their intelligence is comparable to problem solving primates and they have an incredibly complex social structure that merits being called Clan, rather than pack or pride.
Hippo's closet relative is a dolphin = smarter than dog. Also a lot of people think they're related to pigs, which are also smarter than dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if hippo is smarter than hyena.

I liked the video and like both channels but this collab definitely could have been done better. The video game link between the channel works but the video being plugged is not appropriate, there needs to be an animal/biology connection. I understand it would be sort of tricky to do but there are some ideas that could work. A video on Smash that is about lets say Fox and Falco or any other animal character from smash would have fit better if the TZ video was also about the animal that the particular Smash character is, it is very jarring as it stands. The plug felt sorta weird because of the video length (since you essentially have 2 plugs in quick succession, one for VS3 and one for the sponsor) and how used I am to TZ's silky smooth segues. If following what i said before, TZ should have done the plug or at least segued into it. Edit: An idea I had for a segue/video game joke had 2 minutes after writing this comment. "While Outside is a great game, there are other great games. Smash, while it blatantly rips off some of Outside's character designs it is still a great game." *cue VS3* As for VS3's delivery, I didn't mind it and actually quite like it. I knew what to expect since it is pretty much the trademark delivery for the Vsauce channels, Michael does the exact same thing.

The reason many male hyenas rank low in clans is because they are from foreign clans, thus they do not have any strong social ties. :)

When Michael did it it was a way of keeping the listener's attention. He paced his speech so that the the audience can have an oppertunity to absorb the info. Jake is probably doing it because it's become a part of the Vsauce brand--which isn't neccesarily a bad thing.

I love that you and the Vsauce crew collaborated, but... Your distinctly different speech styles are entirely jarring when you're trying to edit the segments as back to back information dumps without any kind of transition.
The Vsauce crew are known for their segmented, slow speech styles as to allow the viewer time to process what's being said. Yours is more... Casual conversational speed. Putting them together without any kind of transition is very noticeable.
Just an FYI. Other than that, excellent video with more great info on the animal kingdom. Also, Jake's vid looks pretty cool, so I'm gonna hop on over there and check it out. Thanks for collaborating with another of my favorite YTers!
Yeah, it wasn't necessarily bad, and I think it's a great collaboration in concept, but quite jarring to watch
Also the VSauce background music works well for their slower style of video, but not for TierZoo which works really well with video game music.
Also it's weird seeing a human face pop in to a TierZoo video, especially since TierZoo's style is imitating video game strategy videos that don't usually have a talking head.

I gotta say, placing spotted Hyena intelligence somewhere around 50 (compare to the newer vid on Hippos, placing them near 60-65) is a gross underestimation. Their intelligence is comparable to problem solving primates and they have an incredibly complex social structure that merits being called Clan, rather than pack or pride.
Hippo's closet relative is a dolphin = smarter than dog. Also a lot of people think they're related to pigs, which are also smarter than dogs. I wouldn't be surprised if hippo is smarter than hyena.

They could have spent evolution points into new abilities in exchange for lower intelligence, which is something that some animals in other groups do. (For example, birds of paradise, some related to corvids, putting points into aesthetic in exchange for lower intelligence than, say ravens.)
Hyenas have been shown to be more intelligent than lions, even though the hyena's closest animals are felines and other mammals such as mongooses and meerkats. Lions have been known to fall for tricks like decoys, while a hyena is able to distinguish a decoy from actual prey.

I liked the video and like both channels but this collab definitely could have been done better. The video game link between the channel works but the video being plugged is not appropriate, there needs to be an animal/biology connection. I understand it would be sort of tricky to do but there are some ideas that could work. A video on Smash that is about lets say Fox and Falco or any other animal character from smash would have fit better if the TZ video was also about the animal that the particular Smash character is, it is very jarring as it stands. The plug felt sorta weird because of the video length (since you essentially have 2 plugs in quick succession, one for VS3 and one for the sponsor) and how used I am to TZ's silky smooth segues. If following what i said before, TZ should have done the plug or at least segued into it.
Edit: An idea I had for a segue/video game joke had 2 minutes after writing this comment. "While Outside is a great game, there are other great games. Smash, while it blatantly rips off some of Outside's character designs it is still a great game." *cue VS3*
As for VS3's delivery, I didn't mind it and actually quite like it. I knew what to expect since it is pretty much the trademark delivery for the Vsauce channels, Michael does the exact same thing.

In a 1v1 scenario the hyena lose against Lions, but on team fight they win, even a big group of Lions lose or run of a pack of hyenas.

If the lion is male, that is always the case, but not necessarily always so with a female lion and a particularly bold (female) Spotted Hyena - because the lioness can't actually do significant damage to the Hyena (their resilience in this respect is widely underestimated) but a hyena can do serious damage to a lion with just one bite. @@noneofyourbeeswax01 What do you mean by "female" spotted hyenas? The whole "females are stronger and more aggressive" thing has been debunked fairly recently. Their social structure is so complex and misunderstood. To put it simply, it's based off of social support, the more relatives you have, the more supporters, meaning you'll be born into a higher rank if your mother has been in the clan for a long time and has many "friends". The reason many male hyenas rank low in clans is because they are from foreign clans, thus they do not have any strong social ties. :)

I think one of the most underrated builds is the bobbit worm. This is one of the strongest worm builds, and looks awesome.

I am an aspiring scientist who has always loved chemistry and physics. However, I have always HATED biology and zoology. Not arbitrarily, I've taken classes on both subjects and watched my fair share of documentaries. I consider myself to have a decent knowledge of the subjects, I've just always found them painfully boring to study. That feeling changed the second I clicked on one of your videos. It was engaging, funny, accessable, and I couldn't stop clicking another video. You had me seeing the animal kingdom in an entirely new light, and learning more than I ever had watching any documentary, and enjoying myself too! I think you sir, are a genius and have created one of the most original things I've seen on RUclips in a long time. Thanks for the knowledge and XP, and keep up the great work. P.S. please cover the mimic octopus if you haven't already, I'm fairly certain that class is from the space server, not the Earth one.

When Michael did it it was a way of keeping the listener's attention. He paced his speech so that the the audience can have an oppertunity to absorb the info. Jake is probably doing it because it's become a part of the Vsauce brand--which isn't neccesarily a bad thing.
