I can’t believe whilst they were filming this the war was still going on. Brilliant film with a good storyline. The actors were amazing unlike todays rubbish Thank you
Jack Haley. I'm excited to see him in this. He was so sweet in The Wizard of Oz. Just a peach of a tin man. I've been watching the hearings on all the channels via RUclips and this is a relief.
Great "Who's got the body" comedy mystery with the master of horror, Bela Lugosi and the "tin man" who ended up with a heart for a lovely lady. Thanks for the posting. Joe S
I'm here on a Monday morning in October, this movie is helping me not notice the pain in my back. I love these movies; I always like reading everyone's comments, saying hello from whichever country you are watching from, or describing the year/time? This is '24, the election is in a month, I agree we should avoid religion and politics as a topic; I like how in these forums most people are so nice and polite, but one thing is, I am so tired of all the political ads! This channel is a treasure! I like to think about the people who went to see these movies in the theater... Maybe a child who was taken on a special occasion? Maybe a couple on an 'iffy'? date, looking for something they could have in common, relieved as they're both forgetting themselves in laughter, and then they instantly have something in common to talk about after. People watching this movie to forget about the war (1944). Hello, you guys! Aren't we lucky these gifted people worked so hard to make these worlds for us to escape. Painkillers work okay but if I can't afford to get TCM, I feel like RUclips and channels like this one actually save my sanity. Cheers, you guys, from Iowa in the US!
Hope your back feels better. I love these old movies also. I have awful insomnia, so my dog, cat and I curl up under the covers and watch old movies. I am older and don't have many visitors. I find these old movies comforting. It is refreshing to not see Trump's face for 10 min. Love from NY ❤️
I live with constant pain because of a spine injury over twenty years ago. I have had implanted pain pumps for years, if your back is going to leave you in pain ask your doctor about one. It is a small percentage of the medicine you will take orally. They are life savers for many of us.
I love this movie,,I watch it again, every now and then,,fun,, I love the Visual sarcasm of Bella lugosi, when he reply when I let the cat in from the rain,,what rain asks the other man,,Lugosi walks to the door and opens its, Flash of lighting, thunder etc, always amuses me,,

We found this in a discount bin Yeats ago, and it was my daughter's favourite movie when she was little. Still a great movie!!! Thank you for sharing it.
This is an enjoyable horror comedy which features a great cast. It's of the "old dark house" genre. Jack Haley is perfect as a befuddled insurance agent caught in a series of bizarre situations. Bela.....is Bela and has fun with that. A nice surprise.

I agree! I can't imagine being in the acting field, and for European actors fleeing the wars and uncertainty -- there was opportunity but he had to learn a whole different language too
Now I have to go look up this reference! It's too fun, I have to know what it means. I'm 64, I can't believe I never heard of it, it reminds of 'Thundercats are GO' or even the latest, 'Avengers Assemble '!
I think they threw in a few Wizard of Oz references starting at 20:44. He says, "The tower, eh? Somebody tried to kill you, eh? Well, I'll show him he can't go throwing rocks on people! I'll go up there, and I'll get him in my hands, and I'll tear 'em apart! ... It's a good thing you talked me out of it." Although this actor, Jack Haley, played the Tin Man, this echoes what the Cowardly Lion said at various points: "Oh, pulling an axe on me, eh? Sneaking up on me, eh? ... I'd show him who was King of the Fores'! ... guards or no guards. I'll tear 'em apart. ... There's only one thing I want you fellows to do -- Talk me out of it."

Jack Haley. What a talent!!
I thought it was Rand Paul.
I knew he was the Tin man from Oz! His nipples are bizarrely small!
Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz
I probably read too much Hollywood gossip, but I always thought it was wild that Liza (Judy's daughter) dated Jack Haley Jr for a while!
