This video is a re-upload of my previous Thunder Jack review several days ago. It was brought to my attention that the KB analysis was previously incorrect and essentially blatant misinformation which is why I decided to unlist the old video and upload this new version with the correct analysis. Sorry for anyone who may have been disappointed with my previous video’s accuracy. I know I can’t keep getting away with situations like this, so I’ve decided to do the right thing and fix my mistake. Thunder Jack’s KB is pretty cool after all.
He's currently trying not s*** on every new unit that comes out now I wish he made a redemption Arc for eggy cat he can permanently slow saint dober and the angel boar allowing Juliet to get in and helps sanzo cuz he sometimes just doesn't slow even when there's like five of them
I’m glad that you fixed your inaccuracies. Thunder Jack’s kb would’ve sucked if he was any other type of unit, but him being a melee rusher with tanking capabilities and multihit actually allows him to utilize the kb quite well. A unit that has a similar kit I can think of is Chun-Li from the street fighter collab, who is extremely effective at controlling enemies because (like Thunder Jack), has rapid attacks and multihit (tho I do find that she works a bit better due to range difference). Anyway, to sum it up, Thunder Jack’s kb is actually quite helpful in helping him survive and juggling groups of enemies. Thank you for reading this and have a nice day
Honestly, Since Thunder Jack only has 1kb, His multi-hit isn't that big of a problem. His rapid atks and multi-hit ensures that gets every single hit he can get in, and his 1kb ensures that he'll never be interrupted in mid-animation. This makes him able to push very hard before falling. In fact, I'd prefer his multi-hit instead of one large ass atk animation because as you said, he only has one kb. It means He'll be receiving dmg all the time. If he has a long but high dmg atk like gravo, He'll defo get 1 hit in, but if it's a long animation, by the time he's ready to atk a 2nd time, He'll most likely be on the verge of dying, because he's always on the frontline and taking dmg. This makes successive hits risker as you never know when he's going to die. At least with 2 KB you know when your unit is 50% HP, but with 1KB there really isn't a way to tell. Also against an enemy with kb, he doesn't have to restart his atk animation since its rapid and continuous.
Really glad of this re-inspection of him!.. you know, even outside his niche he can make a great unit, as im pretty mid game, and don't hava balrog yet, he was the one that CARRIED me through Hannya and WanWan
This is an intentionally dramatic response, but in today’s world honesty and accuracy are difficult to come by. We, the subscribers and viewers appreciate that you have those things and are willing to admit when you made a mistake.
For me what makes jack so op is his knockback chance, versatility (knockbacking 3 different strong enemy types.)And most important of all:rapid jabs with knockbacks makes him make bosses with alien, zombie or angel an utter joke. If he survives long enough he's stackable with just 2 of them you can basically perma stop an opponent that can be knockbacked. Aka if the opponent is melee or has high range but big attack cooldown then it's certainly DEAD.
Players who get this guy before no plan A, angel cyclone, cosmic cyclone, honey trap, or into the future, you have won a free ticket to crushing everything short of A. Bahamut. Even with the last one, he won’t crush it, but will significantly help with destroying him.
Mostly what I get from this is that he can be incredibly powerful and isn't too punishing to use, but isn't the best team player overall. Not too bad. (Also, I know this doesn't completely ruin him, but I REALLY wish his 2nd form had zkill)
this one incredible useful in most early-mid stage with score challenge, since move quite fast and rapid attack with 10 - 20k each strike (depend on level). make you can finish the battle as soon as possible which mean gain higher score for reward. combine it with crazy giraffe can brainlessly sweep all early-mid stage no matter what color enemy is.
This guy completely dominate queen B, clionel variants, and any enemy that have high kb count in general, as with his attack speed, landing 30k dmg to knockback something like king wahwah is stupidly fast.
i like how in changing metas catman has fallen down to 3rd place, behind vigler and saki of all units, which people originally considered bad heck, i remember xskull ranking saki near the bottom in the original dank heroes ranking
Let me say something that's pretty obvious but it's just an advice for early-mid game-ish ppl. If you have a op Uber, boost it to level 40,i have a Uber (Gao) that is in the top 10 best ubers, I've boosted him to level 40,hes the main carry if my also hypermaxed jack dies I can send one out pretty quickly to destroy enemies in his 3 targets. Hypermaxing is one of the most important aspects of the game, I've hypermaxed, can can, Cameraman, cyborg,ramen and courier. They are all op units to have hypermaxed.
I haven't started yet ITF Chp 1. May you give me advice, which one should i upgraded ThunderJack or Saki? I hope one of them could carry me through ITF and stages after it.
I think that Jack's rapid attacks isn't a problem because he has high HP and low knockback. High burst damage matters if you're spending 5 seconds before getting knocked back. It matters much less if you’re spending 20.
I’m very curious to see what his true form and talents will entail, if it involves increasing his already insane damage output that would be a gift, hopefully chun li can get an equally good true form and talents in the far future
I found thunderhead Jack very useful on Heavenly and Infernal tower floor 44. He gives you the upper hand on Hannya. Make sure it's his first form to avoid Hannya's weaken and knockback Cruel angel Clionel when it's in front.
He seems to be unit with a lot of amazing traits I wonder if the knock back could completely trivialize the last of the Dead likely make a rush strat possible without having to invest on hyper mr talents but we're going to have to see if he gets an amazing combo and l alien knock back I don't really have too many units that have knocked back against them I say as time went on alien knock back became more and more preferable cuz them endgame starred aliens are so ridiculously bulky to the point you just can't get them off your cats
Why isn't jack an alien buster? Aliens are comprised of mostly not strong backliners. (There's some in COTC like that elephant and that frog but they are the only backliners with alien trait that I've seen.) So with that, he can kb the frontline straight to hell, Itf, COTC, he's viable there, but that is just one trait, there's zombie and angel, they aren't the best to kb, but it helps with if he kbs on first hit he can stop zombies from burrowing.
I saw the last ranking and was taken aback by vigler's jump in ranking to 2nd place. Im honestly very curious on the reasoning behind this, i mean i know he became useable with TF + Talents but still
The combo is way too broken. You can reduce the cooldown of units like Ramen down to almost 2s, the fastest cooldown on par with normal meatshields. The combo also has sumo, who is another usable meatshield. You’re getting an insane buff for essentially just 1 slot.
Akira and Jack in 2024? Does they good? Viewed both videos, and don't really understand. And does there was ultra talents, when thst video was released or not? Does Akira become cool with ultra talent surge?
I'm a bit confused about why you named his 1st form thunderhead Jack, is that his full name or its just a mistake since at cat guide, and in the upgrade thing he's called thunder jack.
It really just depends on the stage. If it is spam heavy with backliners then Thunder Jack isn't that viable. If it is however little to no spam then Thunder Jack is a good option
Thunder Jack helped me to defeat perfect cyclone and for some reason he Takes so much hits and he didnt die i just needed to use 2 Jack and the cyclone dies it was my first cyclone that i defeat
Perfect's Cyclone is one of the most intimidating ones in early game, because of just how much range it has compared to other ones, making it seem impossible to reach. However, the main gimmick of the Perfect Cyclone is that there's a safe spot in the eye of the storm. It can reach far, but is unable to touch units that are too close. If your units are able to survive the path, they'll be 100% safe from the Cyclone. Thunder Jack is indeed a very good unit for defeating Perfect Cyclone, since he's a melee rusher with a lot of HP. He has low range, meaning he has to get close to attack an enemy, a very high speed, allowing him to reach the blindspot faster, and his bulky HP allows him to take a lot of hits. He didn't die because he wasn't actually being hit by the Cyclone.
Insane DPS for a Sniper unit, short cooldown, works extremely well against her traits in TF. And btw all of those are before Talents. When you count talent in, she is just broken against her traits. The strong up and attack up talents make her already insane DPS become godlike DPS against Relic and Alien. Especially Relic, thanks to her talents, she is now considered the best Anti-Relic Uber. Her only weaknesses are expensive cost, attack only( this can come in handy sometimes though because you can use it to stack her for cheesing) and big blindspot but those can be avoid if you know how to use her.
@@neferpitou. I don't think you understand what Long Range or LD units are. LD does not mean they have big range( even though Saki standing range is big), LD mean they have a blindspot(area where they can not damage enemies) but to make up for this, they can attack further than other units and does not get block by other enemies( snipping capability) because they have a bigger attacking area.
so hes budget balrog? no like literally cuz he wont cost all ur np so he is quite literally budget balrog (ik he sota different like higher hp and 1kb buts its a joke) also i will give this to jack: no tf yet or talents (tho with tf dark heros usually just change up targets rather than a stat boost)

The other ubers are better as specialists. Hayabusa is one of the best anti metals, is solid as anti alien/ zombie, and is a very good anti aku. Akira got a huge glow up with surge talent and aku target. Warlock does have the uniqueness factor of having base destroyer and being the second best anti alien in the whole set, but those are more so reasons why he’s above Prof and Mekako.

A lot actually. Jack has 50% more HP, slightly less range, only 1 kb instead of 4, and 20s faster cooldown.
