- A small field didn't mean small action. There was a podium to decide in clear and blustery conditions at Oakura, Taranaki. The swell packed some real punch for it's size and tested all the boats. What a great Nationals for 2018.

I wonder how it would look like and be a design with a trimaran for recreational usage for fishing and family rides. Just 3 ribs touching the water and 2 outboards of 115/200HP Max. Kind of Center Console fishing style. With almost no hull drag just the 3 ribs and that fiber glass skate like knife under.

Thunder Cat the Motocross of racing. Hands down one of the most exciting forms of boat racing. It's a toss-up between this and jet boat sprints for the most action in a boat race. What's with all the crappy elevator music and everybody's videos these days. I literally had to turn the volume off. I would much rather listen to the sound of the screaming engines and screaming competitors. Just saying

They're not really that modified. Depending on where you are in the world it varies a lot for hull and outboard cost.
I’m in australia but i found them with a 50 short shaft from 4-7 grand
