I haven't even gotten to the main part of the video yet but Jacob's concerned face as everyone else is discussing the Atmosfear Extended Canon Universe (tm) is already such a mood
There are 2 "Booster tapes" for Atmosfear The Harbingers where the rules are exactly the same. I think, and anyone can correct me on this, but instead of the six keys, you put out the keys equal to the number of players. The game is 45 minutes long. The Gatekeeper says different things on each one and it's quite fun

Yes there are 2 Booster Tapes which were released in Australia and New-zeland but some copies get in USA. The game is create by Brett Clements and Philip Tanner. Brett Clements is a famous illustrator, he makes the design of several board games which get a lot of succes , He creates Rap Rat, he works for a kids tv show, he works in the cinema editing movies. It's a real phenomenon.
It's funny that a lot of Americans hate that game, because it was a nightmare to make those game editing and broadcast in USA. But in UK, Australia, in Europe and more specially in France those games are a true banger. Some french fan, keep making that game alive by making they own video and fate and chance card. Actually, the Gevaudan and Hellin version were made, the video are some where in Village Roadshow. Brett Clements is agree for maybe one day someone release the Gevaudan but he refuse that the Hellin version to get out because when he was recording that version, "Too many scary shit happen". He really believes that it was the limits between shlockhorror and satanism, he was scared to be "drawn in something dark and bad ... Hellin must stay in its box for the safe of good" - you can find an interview of him on youtube and internet.
I swear Ben has the worst luck every time they play one of these.

Adding this here in case anyone else is curious. Apparently "froth" can mean pointless, useless talk. So when Dr. Mastiff is saying "Take a fate card, but don't froth me." he means "Take the card and shut up."
Thought it was "Annoy" or "Anger", but still cool to finally know what it means when he says "froth" there. ^^
Watching them explain (or attempt to explain) their knowledge and history of these games to Jacob was incredibly entertaining.
I worked on this production when I was fresh out of school in 1996. It was filmed at a studio in Artarmon Sydney and yes, the production company was A Couple of Cowboys. I was there for a full day for the filming. I’m now in my mid 40s and was on this set when I was 18 or 19. Can’t believe it…..

I would love to see a crowdsourced script and rule set for a LRR homebrewed Atmosfear game. I bet the discord could put out a pretty good one for the scariest monster of all: Bartleby.

So I caught the highlight reel in-between watching the two games on different days. And holy moly, seeing Jacob's roast of Ben in context, finally rolling what he needed, added an incredible element to the moment.

It's incredible that these games were invented before streames/let's plays were a thing, because they're horrible to play, but perfect to watch other people play.

God this tape had a dumb idea not showing you your time left in a constant corner of the screen.. it’s really makes it feel uncomfortable not knowing when the havoc will end.
This one is the most disturbing because it's got the "drilling into teeth" sound.

it's in response to Alex saying "You all did such a great job polishing this turd to a mirror shine" - I guess a 'little Unko Dungo(sp?)' is a Japanese ornament? Made out of polished...well...
It is a pun in Japanese... anko dango is a Japanese dumpling, made with anko, aka red bean paste. Meanwhile, unko dango would be... a different flavour of dumpling, as unko is Japanese for poop.

Honestly, all you need to do to make a good Atmosfear game is remove the PvP and create some sort of mechanic that allows players to manipulate rolls.
And remove cards that require you to wait for a certain time in the video. Those are terrible.
My pop-in suggestion is the thunderous sound to smash cut character but instead of some kind of demand, insult, or line it is just the host cracking open a cold one and drinking it entirely before belching. That's the whole bit. Yes it is exclusively to waste time.

Re: Moving is better - On two dice, that can be true (depending on current distance from your goal). On one die it doesn't matter (as long as you're in range).
I think LRR should make an Atmosfear, but for MtG instead of the normal board game (kind of like Ian mentioned)

This is the worst of the games to watch so far. I don’t know if it’s more fun to play than the others, but as a spectator I was less entertained. Not because of LRR but the antagonist was just.. weird.. without having a real story or progression like some of the others. He wasn’t very interesting, just weird for weird sake.
Interestingly I think this was my favorite of the Antagonists, but was absolutely the worst iteration of the game.I think that's sort of the beauty of having such a wide variety of characters!
