  • The Morserino is a multi-functional Morse device (Keyer, Trainer, Decoder, even Transceiver, etc.). It is ideal for learning and practicing Morse code, useful for everybody from beginners to high-speed pros.
More information regarding the Morserino-32 can be found at the creator's (OE1KWL) website www.morserino.info
I recently got into amateur radio and decided that I would document the process of getting into the hobby. My interests primarily revolve around portable radio operations with a focus on Summits on the Air. I intend on creating a variety of videos involving the use of amateur radio in the outdoors and currently plan on showcasing different micro-soldering projects to include radio modifications (Panadapters/MARS mod, etc) as well as fun projects like this Morserino-32 and antenna builds.
Upcoming videos will include an overview of my SOTA loadout (radio, pack, antenna setup, etc), SOTA activations, comparing different portable antenna systems, learning morse code, and other radio-based projects.

I think the post talk through works well here. No need for the music but it isn’t too intrusive. Thanks for posting.

Excellent. Personally, I prefer the voice over. Thanks for going at a reasonable pace instead of using fast forward as so many other builds on YT.

What magnifying glass did you use in this assembly? It's quite cool to be able to control the zoom levels.

Hey Norberto, sorry for the late response. I use the Morserino with USB power. Getting a battery that fits underneath the Heltec module can be relatively tricky, though if I were to give one a shot it would be this one: www.hobbytown.com/ecopower-electron-1s-lipo-30c-battery-pack-3.7v-500mah-ecp-4008/p403323
If you are fitting the battery underneath the Morserino PCB or external to the unit itself, you have a lot more options, just make sure it is 3.7v LiPo. Recommendations from someone I know who builds these kits as a hobby recommends the following:
      www.amazon.com/dp/B08XZNRTCP?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_ZFAQACZDBGRYE5FDQT8D
      or
      www.amazon.com/dp/B07MGZY9JJ?ref_=cm_sw_r_mwn_dp_AEETSBDW8RWE9VZFBW9M
or any battery similar in size.

@@chipinnadip Is this a euphemism for learning morse code - cause I feel the same way.
