Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Movie Review by Sucharita Tyagi - If there's one thing "BMCM" succeeds in, it's being a testament to Bollywood's ability to cram every conceivable trope and cliche into a single film. Fever dream ki tarah fake looking sets mein phat phat karke sub-plots overlap hote hain, while clunky dialogue like “ Yeh yantra hamare liye dhaal tha lekin dushman ke haath laga toh talwar ban jayega joh hindustan ka sir kalam kar degi'' take you from one scene to the next. Flashback aur current timeline mein tonal difference sirf itna hai ki 7 saal pehle dance number tha, joh ab nahi hai. Kabhi bhi Sonakshi Sinha aati hai, kabhi bhi jaati hai, logical sir-pair most sequences ka dhoondhne se bhi nahi milega.
Chaliye logic na bhi khoje insaan, ache action ki hi ummeed kar lein, jis se ki “you never talk about 26 other crafts'' kehne waalon ko kuch mil jaaye to hold on to, ki matlab filmmaking na ho gayi kundalyon ka milaap ho gaya 36 gun gino baith kar. Par BMCM mein action choreography, action cinematography and edit bhi itna banal aur basic hai, its an amalgam of everything that’s preceded it.

Most big budget Bollywood films these days have me convinced that it's all an insider money laundering scheme and we're all being taken for a ride just for a few giggles.

Akshay and Tiger fees is around Rs. 1,30,000.00. Actresses must have cost around 10 cr. Director fees probably Rs. 30 cr. And shooting locations in the UK, UAE, Jordan, India etc must have cost around Rs. 50 cr. ... VFX another 30 cr. there are other crew members which must be around 50 cr and advertising and marketing cost money. Do the maths

Its quite clear - Akshay has no script senses and he keeps on accepting everything he gets and so far he has been lucky till 2020. Now its clear that his time is over - sad that he is my fav actor but truth is he is not getting the hype anymore

I remember Rajveen Masand back in the day was fearless in his opinions and critiquing the film, not many film critics do that now. Sucharita, currently is the voice of cinema (who sadly had to walk for 30 minutes to watch this crap for us). You have our respect.

Akshay kumar for has truly fallen from grace for me, in 2000s he was my fav actor he was able to do pull off comedy ,action and drama effortlessly but now he has become a parody of himself starring with garbage actors like tiger shroff.

Other language reviewers reviewed this movie saying its too bad that its good. i heard one even saying that he was happy to sit in AC theatre in this scorching heat n was not disturbed by any cheers, claps or laughing despite the theatre being fully packed n he wished the movie was longer for a peaceful nap😂

Honest review and reality. BMCM is copy from multiple hollywood films and bollywood films (Pathan, War, Jawan etc.). Pooja entertainment taking audience for granted. BMCM jaisi legacy film ke naam bhi kharab kar diya.

i think I'll be able to appreciate any recent Bollywood movie only under the subset of Bollywood movies ,, w every big star movie coming up (made w absurd amount of budget) we are just being set 10 years back in cinema especially in terms of writing (we had better scripts in the past i agree) ,
