Something else to note is that it’s most often ophiophagous species like kingsnakes that eat themselves, since they instinctually eat other snakes
Bull sharks are another species that can unintentionally kill themselves. When they're territorial, they'll charge something that could challenge them for their territory, but if they charge into something sharp (in a theoretical situation which, yes, isn't very likely, charging into a swordfishes' bill), they can impale themselves on the challenger. And of course sometimes they can try swallowing something that's too big, so they choke.
I like how the feral cat really is a feral cat. I can tell because it has the tip of its left ear clipped off. That means it has been spayed or neutered and is part of a managed feral colony.

There is a story from the Aboriginal Dreamtime amongst the people in far north Australia about how one night a hunter strayed too close to a small evil creature that lives in trees, has huge glowing eyes and suction cups on its fingers. The creature grabbed the unsuspecting hunter and infected the hunter who inevitably turned into one of these creatures themselves. This is thought to be a shared distant memory of when the people who ended up being the Australian Aboriginals were moving through Southeast and saw Tarsiers. They were obviously such unusual animals that it left an in-print on them to the point that it became incorporated into their creation myths. That's pretty cool if true...
@@GeteMachine And the females die as soon as their brood doesn't need her to siphon water over them. This brings me to a very interesting topic about menopause.
