Wow. I've been chewing on this a lot lately, and it's been great to hear y'all discuss it. It's time the church starts asking and answering these hard questions.
The interview is simply amazing. WOW! So accurate, so timely. But I also have to, must say, @carey is rocking the socks like a boss! hahahahah Thats some serious fashion socks game man!

Nietzsche said god is dead, obviously I don’t agree with him but look at what this attitude has done to people. Post modernism is very prevalent in the universities, and I’m sad to see so much nihilism and despair. This needs to be tackled head on, and that’s exactly why I relate to Mark. Similar upbringing and he tackles all the hard questions I’ve been wrestling with.
"Talk about what happens when God disappears from culture... They replace bad ideas with good ideas... People are three questions away from deconstruction... Obsessed with attendance.. How many views?... I want to become part of this... Ten thousand people, but how many are really following Jesus?... ". Maybe 🤔 i am being given a chance to get it " in the feels", as the kids say... A chance to put life aside and feel it all and do what i can to leave something for the next generations.... Your sexuality with consenting adults is none of my business... Love is☀️what matters... I dont define disciples or create them... Love❄️is what matters
The macros decicions come because we have macro meetings that can never meet people's needs emotionally spiritually or physically... They can't even know them. If we had small home churches where everyone knows everyone and their needs and can all help one another in their life we might be discipling a whole lot more effectively, and the changing culture around us would have little impact on small groups choosing to meet together.
Thanks! Btw, my husband and I have a nascent Spanish church in Phoenix. I’ve been listening to many of your interviews lately and we’ve been discussing how to adapt for our context. Thanks for the great work!
Actually I heard the guys who rioted at the hockey games were from wealthy backgrounds and went on to go to Ivy League schools. I hope they regret it now, but they were pretty entitled it seemed.
The church is too pasive they keep coming after the Christian church because they know we will just lay down and accept whaf they choose to do to us... we need to be like Jesus... jesus is not passive he was only a teddy bear jesus to those who needed that but those who were against him he called them out and never backed down
People want an ecclesia full of developed agape muscles (hearts prepared and fully equipped like the Good Samaritan), Thy don't want a 2 hour church show, where nobody is connecting in any non-shallow way the rest of the week. Studying the Bible as an end in itself does not REPLACE the action of following the Great Commandment (agape/"neighbor") and the Great Commission to teach people all he has commanded and the means to obey them. This is far more compelling than the Sunday show approach.
Sure Mark, there are a lot of changes, except God never changes. It's not about "figuring out" but seeking being filled by the Holy Spirit and asking God to open the way for you to reach the younger immigrant generation. Using your woke "whiteness" of Christianity, it is not "white" anymore because it's "moved around" and the other religions have stayed in their place of origin, does that mean hinduism and islam are "brown"? Anyway, most of the younger generation have no clue of the history of the Church in Canada or US so it's no use looking back at the "power role" the Church had but the holy power it always had, breaking down barriers and it has today, reaching people of all nations. Canada has gone down a very dangerous path and your speak with only "free" as long as you regurgitate the woke assertions. Please, go and make disciples!
Strongly dislike these two guys. What they say has nothing to do with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ because I say they don't understand it. They reference Tim Keller and Andy Stanley, two false preachers, teaching their own doctrines......bad sign.
Are you guys reading my mail? Good grief!
Very helpful. Forwarding to my kids.
Great pont how to connect with those who watch church on youtube but are not part of the church, brilliant.

Very informative. Thank you very much.
Love Mark's passion. This is what we are trying to do with our church. Why do you believe what you believe?
Great convo. Thanks, guys!
This is a really interesting talk to listen too and try to apply to a small UK Ipswich church.
Carey these interviews have been brilliant, thank you heaps!
Fabulous interview, so much honest truth!

Haha, thank you!
A very interesting conversation... thanks...
Science findings, the truthful ones should be INTEGRATED TO the Gospel. Psychology is a friend 🕊❤️
I just figured my shit out about Mormonism. Enjoyed this discussion about CHRISTIANITY
So good, thanks guys!
Our pleasure!
IMO we have a Supernatural Christianity and must practice it in our lives and churches.
What does that look like practically, Gary? What do you mean by this? God bless

9:39 The apostle Paul spent most of his ministry approaching cultures different to his own.
The outfits are great - a vote in favor. Would it make sense to post the link to the course here directly?
Just added it! Thank you for pointing that out.

Is it post-Christian or post- church?
There are religions that have spread over other countries in the world. There are mosques in London.
