Canada is a safe clean country. But it can be tough as well for newcomers. I know many immigrants struggling and living in poverty. Some do well though after many years.

Is the health care really free ? I don’t think so . It’s literally from your taxes they convert in using for your health care services hence the huge taxes incurred in all fronts in Canada
The point is the system works. Compare it with Nigeria where we pay taxes and the health care is shit!

As a student, you pay the same tax and not get free healthcare. Here in the UK, we pay tax and still pay for healthcare. So please cherish what you have

NO INCOME TAX for winning on a game show, no tax on prizes, no tax on LOTTERY winnings, or casino wins etc Income from inheritance is not taxed. Income tax on 100k is 3% LESS than in the USA. CHILDBIRTH has NO FEES except the parking lot for visiting the new Mother and child.

They could verify the company based on information available online. They reach out occasionally
Sister may i chip in a point of correction, health care is free only for non workers, but for workers, its not free just like Germany where i reside, if i check my pay slip, 300€ goes out every month for my health care. U are doing well telling us about canada

Healthcare is not free in Canada, we pay for it with our taxes. Canadians pay 43% of their income on taxes.
Unfortunately Healthcare in Canada is pretty grim now with long waits for tests, operations, to see specialists also long waits in emergency can be up to 12 hours and it is hard to get a Doctor, many people have been waiting to get a Doctor for years.
Hmmm, short answer is no. Miserable long winters, high taxes, low incomes. Healthcare is free.
