Life is not about amassing money for yourself. What matters is for you to be able to pay your bills and live a comfortable life. If you are lucky to be super rich, good for you .Expectation of more wealth is the reason African countries are riddled with corruption and fraud. Do your work, pay your tax and get value for the tax paid is enough as far as I am concerned. A country where you pay tax but still have to install your own inverter to get electricity, sink borehole to get water and still pay big school fees but without value for it but instead strike and strike every now and then. You only know when you enter school but can’t guarantee your graduation date. Peaceful and comfortable life is good for me. Life is not about eating and drinking alone. Canada, here I come.

Young people are adventurous. They want to see the world outside of their parents' environment that they didn't chose to live in and that's a good thing because it shows drive and independence. The living at home until you get married isn't exciting or adventureous. Live your life on your terms is the new norm. Parents and family members want way too much power over the young people. Leave them alone already. If you raised them right, then you've done your job well and should trust that they'll make the right decicions on their own. They're not your property.

@@toyamaria2786 I implore that you investigate going to another country. Canada is truly difficult on many platforms. The harsh cold is one reason, another is the expanse of the country and the extremely low population. The high cost of living here is another. very valid points ladies (also mental health/racial bias in the work place are realities for immigrants too) ...so when are you all going back to the motherland.
I showed your videos to my friend from East Africa who has always wanted to move to Canada and she definitely doesn’t want to go now! I’m not sure whether to feel bad for putting her off or happy that she’s not going to move somewhere so racist, snobby and boring 😅. It’s probably best that she doesn’t get disappointed because it definitely doesn’t sound like a friendly or fulfilling place.
It’s good for her to manage her expectations before coming. She can try it first and she how she feels. Everyone’s experience is not exactly the same sometimes
There's no such thing as 'the perfect' country! Every country on this planet has issues! But the way I see it, if you intend to emigrate to another country, and are willing to play by its rules, work your ass off, pay taxes and stay out of trouble then yes! You can make it work and live, potentially, anywhere. Also, each experience is different! Best advice is to visit a country first, on holiday, before you make such a Big Decision! But yes, there is no such thing as a Free Lunch! And unfortunately, a lot of Western countries are becoming more and more reserved and conservative! Because immigration and emigration are hot, controversial topics!
That is weird. I work with people from all over the world. They like Canada 🇨🇦. It sounds like some are just bias towards Canadians and Canada. That is too bad. People from Ukraine come to Canada for a better life and they are happy to be here. Same as people from other Country's were they had a hard life. Canada 🇨🇦 is a good Country.
@@lylesmith8632 Canada has its fair share of problems but, out of the countries I've visited thus far, Canada is definitely one of the nicest! Canadians, by and large, are sooo chillaxed! However, as with lots of other countries, I did see homeless immigrants on the streets begging... So I guess if this problem continues, I fear that, in time, some Canadians will become just as openly bigoted as some Americans, British, Europeans and Australians... Rampant immigration does have a tendency to stretch the tolerances, good will and patience of a country. So can you really blame them?
You ladies are so 100% on point about Canadians and the life there. Also Canadians are passive aggressive that whole keep to myself, personal space blah blah is their passive aggressive way. They even do that to each other. I see them in the workplace.
@@lylesmith8632 Better life does not mean no racism. People come for better life in terms of infrastructures, job security, services. But you cannot avoid bad treatment, prejudice and racism.
Honestly where I am an internship after 4 years studies is paying equivalent to canada minimum wage. Cost of living when I convert is very similar to that in Canada so if I were to go to canada it looks like it will be a paradise. Here also it is very difficult to get a part time or second job
Where in Canada do you live? lol Because in Toronto there is nightlife and clubs close at 4am here. lol I think it depends on which clubs you go to and what area you are in.
Lol. Toronto born. Jamaican Raised (High School)….Married in Ghana….There’s No Life in Toronto. Didn’t enjoy Toronto clubs like the vibes in the Caribbean and Africa….I also agree with the Girls in the video We are in Toronto more stuck up and Guarded in comparison to other countries like Even New York where ppl are more open and outgoing (Friendlier)
Whiz. The Jamaican Community here in Toronto will accept you but, as you are perhaps aware by now, we have to get to know you. The same can also be said for relationships. Once you are in however, you are in.
I appreciate some of your points and perspective, but I also think in some cases you need to step up... seems like maybe (to a degree) you expect a lot to come to you. Make more effort on your part to bridge those gaps. Find out what non Nigerian Canadians do when the clubs close. You certainly seem outgoing enough... use that. Most Canadians don't want to impose... let others do their thing is the motto, but that doesn't mean they will automatically shut you down if you are being genuinely friendly. This respect of space is both good and bad... I personally appreciate it a lot and think it has more benefits than drawbacks, but an outgoing person like you would have no problem making friends if you really tried and are genuinely nice. It could lead to getting invited to after parties, drinks in the park, camping trips and barbecues. Hell, I would certainly gladly chat with you for a bit and get to know you at least, and differences in culture would not be a barrier. We would decide from there. You mention that you ended up socializing with mostly Nigerian friends... that is maybe partly you just going the easiest route as well, so you can't lay it all on everyone else. As for fashion sense... well, fashion exists in its place... most places, who really gives a f^(%... why should you?) Casual and relaxed is a value Canadians pick up on. it is its own fashion sense. if you choose to not go that route it is hardly a barrier, but maybe try it out. You might discover it has its benefits. Certainly some people I know like to get dressd to the nines... I don't think it ever held them back. You are fee to do as you want. Anyway, i did enjoy your vid... some interesting thoughts there. Maybe with that energy and an end to Covid you can discover a new level of engagement in Canada and find a bit more of what you had hoped to experience. I hope so. Many others have had a lot of fun and found the friend group they desired... how do you think you heard those things if there was NO truth to them. And if such a group doesn't fall in your lap, make one. It might take some work... most things do. Anyway, best of wishes and a good life. As a Canadian living abroad extended term in a much harder country to socialize in (Korea) I can certainly understand your feelings... it can seem frustrating and pointless at times. All I can say is expectations can often be the real problem. If you find you hit barriers, as the newcomer it really is going to fall more on you to figure it out.
Thank you for your kind comment and suggestions. I will be sure to put them to great use. All the best in your endeavors and hope you enjoy your stay in Korea 😊

Ladies! your charisma and the video are just brilliant. From your description and experience Canada remainds me of Scandinavia and Switzerland.
You have just described Finland succinctly. Like Canada like Finland...no difference.
Hungary, France, Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Iceland has got the party and dating vibes to a better extent .
Hahaha. you can add Germany to list.
You can't please everyone. When their Country gets too hot they will with they were in Finland 🇫🇮 or Canada 🇨🇦 🤔. I likevthe 4 seasons.
What was the reason your friend moved from the states to Canada?
Amazing ladles. Great content
Is the only "fun" they have just clubbing? Meanwhile, they diss hiking? If you're in a city, there are concerts, the orchestra, art galleries, festivals, museums, bookstores, shopping, sporting events, and yes outdoor activities! And you can find food from across the planet in most major cities.
This had me cracking up. I live in the Northwest. I have visited Canada many times. Not sure if I would move there now 👏👏👏❣️
Stunning information. Please interject that one should never pack up and leave their home country for a new life in Canada, as I did and so I am unhappily stuck here. Your information should be made more visible and known..
But there are some countries worser than a prison like my country algeria corruption oppression predators backwardness religious distraction a hell of shit with respect to North African sunshine
please could you expand? I'm in the process of planning a move there but these videos and comments are making me wonder but it's better to make an informed decision
@@toyamaria2786 I implore that you investigate going to another country. Canada is truly difficult on many platforms. The harsh cold is one reason, another is the expanse of the country and the extremely low population. The high cost of living here is another. There may be other positive benefits like the great water supply, the expanse need for professionals in the trade skills working outdoors and within the construction industry and so on. Please talk to people and piossibly come to visit during the winter season before making a final decision. The best to you.
You guys are on point. ❤❤❤. I'm coming from 🇯🇲
very valid points ladies (also mental health/racial bias in the work place are realities for immigrants too) ...so when are you all going back to the motherland.
I was going to apply through PNP but i am okay now....thank god i found this one lol🤣 god bless you gals for this gold info😇
God bless, keep doing the great work.
Hi whizqueen, you spoke about it not being easy to get professional jobs, but what about working with skills such as photography, music etc.
How many degree Celsius are we talking about, try to include it.great job
Really good one Ladies, love it!!!
Thanks for watching
Funny enuff, i could relate and laugh at the same time, every single statement you made is so true......you were on point.
I'm an introvert so I think I would manage
Good morning, thanks for your precious advice! I learnt a lot through your videos. Keep doing this, you ladies are very talented! God bless you. 🙏🏼🤍
Thanks for sharing this insightful experiences, am having a rethink of immigration from this narrative stories.
I will still encourage you to immigrate regardless
And racist they are!, they will make sure you feel unwelcomed, no matter how much time you have spent there.
That a lot of bull .
Speak for yourself. Run your own country down.
It is not like that all over Canada. It is worse in other Country's. That's why people come to Canada in the 1st place. For a better life.
@@lylesmith8632 Better life does not mean no racism. People come for better life in terms of infrastructures, job security, services. But you cannot avoid bad treatment, prejudice and racism.
@@Flourish_today do they look down on brown skin?
Honestly where I am an internship after 4 years studies is paying equivalent to canada minimum wage. Cost of living when I convert is very similar to that in Canada so if I were to go to canada it looks like it will be a paradise.
Here also it is very difficult to get a part time or second job

Where in Canada do you live? lol Because in Toronto there is nightlife and clubs close at 4am here. lol I think it depends on which clubs you go to and what area you are in.
In Toronto too. I probably went to the wrong club 😞
They can't make up their minds. Nothing wrong with Canada. You can't please every one.
Whiz. The Jamaican Community here in Toronto will accept you but, as you are perhaps aware by now, we have to get to know you. The same can also be said for relationships. Once you are in however, you are in.
That’s very sweet of you ☺️
@@WhizQueen
No worries Madam. You are one of us.
That is sad I work with people from Jamaica and we treat each other the same. All with respect 🙏.
@@lylesmith8632
Perhaps but, not everyone's experience are the same.
But why are quality clothes so expensive for the average Canadian
Thank you for your kind comment and suggestions. I will be sure to put them to great use. All the best in your endeavors and hope you enjoy your stay in Korea 😊
Nice video, some points you guys mentioned, I experienced in the US. But for diversity I think it depends on your school. I don’t have a lot of African friends since I went to a white school, most of my friends are from different countries. Also, my work colleagues are all foreigners. Lol
Good ladies you're scaring much than encouraging. To me the suffering I'm undergoing is much worse than what I'll face there. Why have you not returned to your countries if is that bad?
No it's not that bad. It's better to have the right expectations.
When you can destroy the man's career and livelihood by screaming harrassement?!!! naaa if it pain you, then you ladies can take the lead role and approach...take the risk yourself.
I wish I had watched this video and actually believe what you guys say. I moved here giving up my well paying job and struggling here. Everything you said was true. I wish I had known earlier. Prior to entering you always think about the American dream
Yeah actually cold causes sense of fashion.
It is all about programming in the system and everyone is like birds of the same feathers that the way it is life will never be the same as you thought from Africa.
That relationship part is sickening 😪. And some how we come here and start behaving like them unconsciously. Even you talking too now.. lol
honestly. Subconsciously you just start acting same way and we all complain lol 😂
@@WhizQueen yeah, everyone is annoyingly sensitive. They tell us from the airport that there are alot of scammers in Canada, protect your this and your that and boom! we see everyone as a threat, then treat and throw away good people ... sad really it is.
The fear is so sickening 😪 then we create this boring community, I need a girl friend and I can't find one lol
Awwwww @ Bryan.
@@IamThankGodNnaji One thing I did without even knowing was so isolate myself from the idea of being scammed or whatever fear came with moving to Canada. I thrived tremendously and made friends with people from all walks of life. I counciously decided I will not only stick to people from my country. I made friends with every African, Indian, chinease, Caribbean, South American. You name it! For as long as we had things in comon that was it. I went on lots of dates because I was open minded and closed my eyes to people's skin color. All this was intentional. I even got married lol! We just have to put ourselves out there and resists all these ideas that are put into our heads.

Thank you! 🤗
I still ❤️ Canada 🇨🇦
Seems like there’s no life in Canada
@@victorylapp Only for people that think that way. The dating is fine just ask all the married people. It's the same as the States, it depends on were you live and what kind of job you have and family and good friends too. It is what you make it.

Love the honesty
If you think it is hard to get jobs in Canada, then try other countries! Believe me, it is not that bad, at least in my opinion.
At least somebody see my opinion on this ... you are right .... these ladies should try Nigeria or the UK then they would know that Canada is far better...
It is very good to be comfortable in Canada than suffer in Nigeria
I agree with you 💯
You got that Wright. The food is 10 times better 😋.
This is so spot on, tell them they will have to sell food at Rogers when sapa is knocking and no real job, the housing is just too expensive too.
I love my country that is why Nigeria should be' aware that God has blessed us. Let Us stop destroying it
True, it is very cold in Canada, the weather too
In Canda Spring Summer and Fall is nice but alot of people like winter. Their is Skating, Hockey, Skiing. Tobogganing. Snowmobiling. Ice fishing. Hiking. And much more. Alot of Canadians like winter. 👍 you have to dress for it. Alot of Canadians like it when it snows on Xmas day. The north part of the states get the same weather. I know alot of people from all over the world that say they love it in Canada 🇨🇦.
Talking about job search and it's difficulties, what's the practice of Architecture like over there.. am an Architect here (Nigeria) with over 4-5 year's working experience and am planning to relocate to Canada as a permanent resident. Thereafter some work period, I will embark on education.. #second Master's degree.
What do you think Queen?... would love to know!!!..
If u don't have canadian experience, your chances of getting a job as an architect is slim to none despite your 4-5 yrs experience. U may have to get certifications and also start afresh again.

Hello baddest Whizqueen! I have a personal question. How do I move to Canada from poland without using the Express Entry route? Thank you. Xoxo
Kindly, how can I make it to Poland?
Btw I’ve always wondered as a Christian in Canada are there good churches around that one can attend
yess, there are lots of good churches here. I saw Mountain of Fire few weeks ago
I noticed Africans go to African churches, there are Caribbean churches. Infact Nigerian churches with lots of Nigerians. I would go to mixed churches that way you get to meet differenr people. If you live in Kitchener/Waterloo try going to Slate church.
Do you really have to think about it or are you trying to run Canada down. 🇨🇦. Pretty sad. Canada is a good Country.

So should we stay in Naija?

I didn’t here anything about religion life her church. I heard Canadians are very secular. If you attend church I think you will meet a diverse set of people.
How do they track your income?
Every person in Canada 18 and older should fill Income Tax Declaration each year by indicating all the income.
Nice content. It is also an eye opener for one not to limit himself or herself to only Canada in the case of dating.
totally!!
What are you worried about dating in Canada 🇨🇦. It the same as any were. What do you think 🤔 people do. They get out. Not everyone needs computers and cell phones for dating 🙄. But Canada has that. Same as the States. The only difference is Canada's money 💰 looks different. Canada and USA politicians are different too. Basically the same. People worry to much about dating. If you want to meet some one maybe go out with some friends and have a good time but don't worry about it.
