The 5 nutrients (amino acids) needed to overcome addictions and mood problems
    1. Tryptophan - Serotonin (Tryptophan) (5htp - 5 hydroxy Tryptophan ) Tryptophan
    2. catecholamines (amino acids that produce more catecholamines) Tricine
    3. d-phenylalanine
    4. gabba
    5. glutamine
I'm not sure this is true, but may be worth a try. I recommend you do a RUclips search on amino acids used to overcome addictions.

    About the addictive types..
High extroversion correlates to high Dopamine (+norepinephrine, epinephrine (adrenaline)).
Those are the hormones of extroversion, and make the brain orient toward outside, give you more energy and make someone feel positive emotions.
That's why extroverts have a more positive attitude then introverts.
    -Introverts have low dopamine.
-Low dopamine correlated to addiction. Low reward circuits mean the constant need to get a dopamine hit, huge dopamine crashes, and lower dopamine also means lower ability of frontal lobe to help you stop doing it once you start.
Aka it seems to be the introverts that are most addiction prone. (Especially the Ni doms, who score the max level of introversion)

Thanks for sharing this insightful comment. I was unaware of these correlations. I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this. Bobby. Have a blessed week. 💪👋🌈

about the addiction-prone ..........the introvert /empath more prone (i m h o ) due to their proclivity to care deeply about improving themselves and humanity in general. Sometimes I think sensors kinda don't give-a-you-know what and can get by fine that way.

Mhm - My notifications was turned off. I guess I shaw them that back on YT
I sometimes struggle with watching or reading things online late into the night because my brain goes into a spiral. It feels addictive to me. Im trying to both not do it but also allow it 'earlier' in the day as more a time slot > Endless into the night. Admittedly its usually related to self help/MBTI/whatever - But I need to sleep/rest.
Although I have various things I would class as addictions I see them within acceptable terms. Something like I like my Dr Pepper. However I am allowed 1 large bottle a week. I dont drink more than that. I have good fitness and diet isnt that bad. I largely regard such things as my treats. I did at one time drink more, such as say 2 bottles. However based on my observation of others .. Apparently that isnt that much by comparison. However for me it was too much but im content with 1 bottle being acceptable. If I dont have it for a while I definitely feel it. I should note that on a rare occasion I may allow extra things like coke if im out but we talking like less than 1 on average a week because most weeks I wont. This to me is acceptable based usually on social reasonings for the situation. There are treats and then theres social treats.
I am prone to getting into emotional co-dependent behaviour if im not careful but im better at avoiding it. Romantic relationships always being the toughest. However just more self awareness and situational awareness has helped with that. Time on my own helped me realise I prefer my company more which kinda broke down the whole co-dependency thing. Maybe a lil' too well as I tend to prefer being single than I did in the past.

Caffeine has also been my soft drug of choice and I've experienced the very same cessation symptoms you've mentioned when I've gone off coffee, INFJohnny. When I feel I've become too dependent on something, I will test my tether to it by quitting it. When I was younger, I occasionally drank soft drinks and lots of sweet tea here in the south, but when I was 26, a friend told me if I would just commit to drinking nothing but water for seven days, that I'd get over the habit of soft drinks and sugary sweet tea. It worked! About the fourth day, I thought my brain might swell from only drinking water, but after seven days, I could drink a gallon of water a day and not miss drinking anything else. I also dropped a lot of weight when I did this. In 2017, I quit wheat, grain and sugars (although nowadays I'll eat fruits with natural sugars like dates & apples). Best of luck to you, my friend!

I like how you called it a drug. A lot of people don't know that about caffeine.

I quit caffeine December 2017. I tapered for about a week. Like filling each cup less and less. Down to the ounces. Very controlled. I am not a cold turkey person. I didn't have a migraine, irritability or what people usually get because of the gradualness but I did have fatigue and body aches for a couple months since I had been on it for years. I like lemonade, water, milk etc.
I haven't eliminated carbs or dairy but I do try to avoid prepackaged cakes, donuts, that kind of thing. I'd like to cut that and fast food out. Especially when people offer it to me. If I'm forced to make these things from scratch I have to be disciplined and think about what I am doing. I like making things hard on myself so I have to be mindful. Not only that but I focus on how I'm helping my body and how I'm acquiring skills so that's my dopamine fix I guess.

Congratulations on your success of quitting caffeine. Your testimony gives me hope. I am going to try the taper. Might need two weeks to ween off it instead of one lol. 👋🌹💪🙏❤️😊

I did a 40-day juice fast because as an INFJ I was addicted to sugar. It reset my gut microbiome and I no longer eat processed foods.

You could try guarana? Also energizing. Or one of those mushroom blends. They taste earthy but in a nice way! I've heard that Lions mane is good too but u need to use it for a few weeks before u notice results❤️

I am addictive, obsessive, and a perfectionist.
-I lost 40 lbs by literally not eating for 45 days- twice!
-I live on Nicotine and aspirin (I've gone from 4 packs a day to about 10 cigarettes).
-If I like something I have to buy it in every color and extras for backups.
-I will obsessive over projects until they are perfect at almost any cost.
-I clean obsessively also, literally moving my entire house to one side, cleaning walls and everything. Then I reverse to do the other side by precleaning everything I move to not redirty the side I just did.
On and on.... it's exhausting, distracting, and a mental prison.
edit- RUclips lined out my eating statement.

I'm glad you mentioned wall cleaning. What's the easiest way to clean them without getting water all over the floors? Do you use a special type of cleaning tool to get high up on the wall?

@rubycubez1103 @rubycubez1103 I use a ladder, a wash cloth, a bucket of hot water, and spray bleach.
Wring the cloth as you go. No dripping. I wash them twice. Once with hot water. Next, with bleach and rinse the bleach with a quick wipe down with clean water and a clean rag as you go.

@@missbealovesalbert8353 that does sound exhausting! Lol but it's nice to sit back after everything is done...it feels so clean. Do you wash your ceilings? I want to but it overwhelms me to even think about it lol

@rubycubez1103 Oddly, I don't do the ceilings. I did them once and I discovered that having everything perfect isn't much fun- when you're dead! 😊 That was an experience I can skip repeating.
I also love it when everything is done and clean. But, inevitably someone touches something and the good feeling is gone, LOL.

Have you tried going carnivore? Since it is essentially a subcategory of keto, your body is already fat adapted and it should be an easy transition. Since it is even more restrictive than keto, there is less of an opportunity to cheat. Just an idea.

    • @DuelingPersonalities
      @DuelingPersonalities  5 месяцев назад +1

No doubt, carnivore is effective. You are right about everything you said. My beloved broccolis and cauliflowers always feel left out though. They feel they have rights to at least 1/3 of the plate hahahahaha. Thanks for your comment. 👋
