The best moment in the intro is, after all the crazy things happening, it end with a warning saying "we don't promote smoking"
You already have seen Nero's react to Nico smoking. So yeah, although he's a demon but he still know that smoking kills people.

This opening put the biggest grin on my face. It’s gleefully and unapologetically stupid as hell but also undeniably cool, and there’s a wonderful self-awareness to how cheesy the whole thing is.
For me I think that’s when DMC really shines as a series from a presentation perspective, when it’s doing everything with a wink and a nod as if to say “yeah, this is pretty damn goofy, but be honest you know you think it’s awesome”.
It knows what it is and it revels in it, doing a wonderful balancing act with its tone where it’s both dark and lighthearted; both blatantly silly and completely badass.
The game is pretty much self-aware without breaking any 4th wall. That's why I love about DMC as a series. For example:
When Nero used Nidhogg haching for the 1st time, he was like "should have slash my way trough" mocking the fact that the game let you did some silly put this on to this puzzle when you have a sword that could cut almost anything.
Professional Whamen Respecter it's especially cheeky because I think he said that the very first time you use it lol

Now that I think about it more heroic versions of deadpool feel like a cross between Dante and Vergil, wields dual katannas, dual pistols, wears red, mocks his enemies mid combat, really hard to kill, is a father that abandoned their child and isn't always successful with the ladies.

Seriously, Capcom has returned to its former glory. Dmc5, Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil 2 remake and on development Dragon's Dogma 2. My faith in gaming industry has been restored :')
All that's left is a new Onimusha and I'll be truly happy

When the intro played, I was getting chills throughout my body. All I could think was "oh yeah, this is DMC. The TRUE DMC". The best return to form I've seen yet.

@@Wyzarka I think the issue here, comparing the "comeback" of Capcom in games like DMC3 and DMC5 are the games that preceded them. While DMC2 was, yes, a bad game, it wasn't a steamy pile of shit like DmC. Gameplay-wise, DmC was alright...but the fact they went with a different tone for the characters, story and funny moments that are completely alien to old DMC fans (more like edgelord cringefest, to be honest), makes the DMC5 "comeback" even juicier and more meaningful to true DMC fans.
I sure love this back to form from Capcom. I consider DMC5 an "apology and love letter" to old DMC fans, as a way of making it up for the massive middle finger Ninja Theory gave us with DmC...

As far as I know and remember, DMC2 is a very very rushed job, as the the development had to be redone before it got release. So the disappointment there is very different from the announcement of DmC

Jokes aside - they make one of the best character introductions! All in action, with hilarious humour, no talks, just showing off. Ideal!
Gotta love how a part of Nero's demon powers is the ability to completely change the direction of his momentum in mid air.

You mean the recoil of it since that gun a.k.a Blue Rose has a double barrel is probably unstable to use in human hands other than Nero since that revolver fires 2 shots at once and it's heavy asf

The power of RE Engine
Deede Woi Deede No its not because of re engine, its because of Serbian company called 3Lateral that specializes in making those sweet realistic characters face expressions. Re2 remake has the same engine as dmc 5 and character expressions are significantly inferior.
They kinda remind me of bakugou and momo from hero academia
Plus the faces of Nico, Nero and everybody else had a reference to real life people
When Death Battle inevitably has an episode with Nero, I hope they use this cutscene to reference his agility, speed, acrobatic skill and precision. Assuming Nico was doing about 60 km/h down that road, and that's a pretty conservative guess I feel, that's 1 kilometre a minute, or roughly 16-17 meters/second. From around 3:06-3:21, the tire did a single rotation. I'm assuming those tires are roughly 1.5 meters around or so, so even if for some reason they slowed down to half their speed in the air somehow, that's still around 5-7 rotations a second. So everything we see Nero do in that time frame was done so fast that if you sneezed, you would have missed that part if it was normal speed.

Ahh, I’m so glad this was the game that got me into DMC. I’ve heard of DmC, but also heard bad reviews. And....I gotta be honest, looks hella fun. But I’m glad this was my first DMC game I’ve played.

Good for you, I had it when I was hyped expecting my man Dante to come back home, and there I found Donte "Fuck you" Sparda, that incident caused me to hate the franchise until the real deal, this DMC 5, shows up

Now, my friend, it's time for you to play DMC3. Easily, the best DMC of the whole series, with DMC5 in a really close second. It might not hold well graphically nowdays...but its essence it's even more bonkers than DMC5, and that's why DMC3 it's a wonderful gem!

Only gamers of old get the appreciation from this. Back when most RPGs had cool intro that you didn't skip every time you booted up the game and when games were games which was fun and outrageous. Today, it's nothing but simulation and obsession on realism to achieve immersion. DMC is a breath of fresh air.

Capcom and Konami used to be legends in the 8 and 16 bit era. Then they started slipping. Konami never stopped and is absolute garbage today, but Capcom pulled their shit together and reversed the trend, returning to form in style.
On that note, not only was the DLC for Village good, but the upcoming RE 4 remaster looks fucking amazing.

I just recently got into DMC starting with the original game and working my way up to this one and I was absolutely blown away by this. Now after completing the game and hearing all the songs, Devil Trigger remained my favorite.
With Pepefrog headbanging emote with the song makes it really more catchier than before!

Rofl this game has so many small details, only just noticed that shortly after Nero jumps out he fires a random shot into a "Diverted Traffic" Sign. Thought it was just to more it but soon after you see a poor demon with the sign lodged in its face falling down haha amazing!

DMC (or like DMC 2 onwards i believe) has always been cheesy, over the top, fun violence. You have to learn which scenes are meant to be taken seriously and which ones to just lay back and enjoy the carnage

A small detail a lot of people miss: At the end when they are driving off, Nero lights her cig, and Neco slides closer to her window so the smoke goes out.

Can we all just appreciate how absolutely amazing ReEngine is.
It not only looks amazing, even nearly 4 years later, but performs fantastic, the game hits a rock solid 60fps even on something like the Steam Deck even without compromising on visual settings. ReEngine and idTech should be the benchmark for performance and visuals but far too often games that look just passable for a AAA game still get released with terrible performance.
