- The Philips 9506 MiniLED TV is meant to have superb picture quality, incredible OLED-like deep blacks, and vibrant colors, immersive 4-sided ambient lighting, powerful Dolby Atmos sound with a built-in subwoofer while also being gaming ready with 4K at 120Hz. That’s a lot to digest.

I have had this for almost a year now, amazing TV! 2021 model
I've had it just over a year and I love it 😃
Does it have anti burn In features
@@keetvhdlimited962 I’m not sure, but isn’t burn in mostly OLED’s problem?
@@keetvhdlimited962 Mini leds can't get burn in, only Oleds can get it
@@TicoLehtinen Its only Oleds that can get burn in
Your videos are very satisfying. Underrated channel for sure 😪
For some reason there's not many reviews out for this tv. I've heard from various sources that it has (or had?) lots of ghosting problems. Anyone know if that's a software issue that Philips have addressed with an update? This model is available on sale to a great price in Sweden atm.
It was addressed in march this year I believe
Great tv, I recommend! I have had this for a year now
Hi Matías... Me also in Sweden and I was thinking about getting one... Did you try it in the end?
@@pirovaldes i didn't, I ended up going with an LG c1 oled instead and I'm very happy with it. The fact that there's so little talk about this TV online felt like a warning sign to me. I did find a quite big forum where this TV is discussed, but the talk there about some issues that it apparently still hs also concerned me.m, so I decided to go with more of a safe bet for just a little bit of more money. The only reason I doubted getting an oled from the start was that it's not as bright as leds, but I couldn't be more satisfied now. Even in daylight it performs more than great.
If you go to AVforums you can find a long thread with discussions about this Philips TV.
@@mattias8012 thanks a lot! I really appreciate your reply! I feel the same from my research... A lot of red flags... I LL see if I can find the forum you mentioned... :)
Another day another quality review 💪🏻😎
More to come, thanks for watching!
great video but a few questions, is local dimming enabled in gaming mode? can you make a comparison video with an oled? then I would also be curious to see tcl 835 and 935 which seem to be superlative mini led panels!
Hey, I just recently bought this TV and was happy with it (for video), until I hooked it to my laptop, ghosting is very visible, *BUT* you can disable local dimming in about every mode per hdmi port, and that solves the problem. OK it's less contrast but it still looks pretty good (and I don't like mega contrast anyway if it's not done properly like on OLED). I bought it for EUR 900 so that was a great deal, it's worth that but not around EUR 1500.
@@b1lleman I can buy it for 900€ at 65 inch now. I've been trying to find out for a week now which is the best value for me. How do you like it for gaming and how do you like it for movies? Enjoy your purchase :)
I'm debating this Vs a LG C2 55 inch that's 250€ more
@@scottpilgrim2 where can you find it at 900euro for the 65 inch? In Belgium I've found it for 1250euro, but for 900 I would buy it right away!
@@scottpilgrim2 where did you find it for 900€? I saw it on iBOOD once but opted not to take it, now I’m thinking about buying this instead of 65OLED706 because of 4 sided ambilight and no burn in
@@scottpilgrim2 were did you find this for 900?
Really cool video. This TV is a bit cheaper than the oled706. 65 inch version on both. Which one would you get?
Hi there. I don't have this TV in particular, but I would personally recommend a MiniLED over an OLED in most situations. The much, much higher peak brightness means you can use it even in rooms that have a lot of light, and the panel won't degrade over time like an OLED tv will.
Although modern OLED TVs no longer experience "burn in" where sections of the screen are noticably discoulered due to excessive brightness in those areas damaging the pixels, the organic compounds in the LEDs are still slowly degrading over time and causing colour accuracy to drop, it's just being done uniformly across the screen by a process called wear-levelling. By the end of ten years the OLED would be even dimmer and have lessened colour accuracy, while the MiniLED should be the same as first purchase barring any factory defects.
Although OLED TVs offer a better visual experience, I don't think the trade-off's to product longevity are worth it. Over the next few years you might want to keep your eye on the new "QD-OLED" panels from Samsung. They are able to get very bright, have all the benefits of OLED, and in theory will not wear down the same way standard OLED does. Currently, though, they are very expensive and there are only a small number of high-end products available, so we need to wait for the technology to mature and proliferate.
@@The_Noblest_Roman Thank you for the advice. I've seen them side by side in a store and decided to go with the oled. I love it. It has really good picture quality and the sound is decent for a TV. So far, I'm very happy with it.
Should I get this tv or the OLED706 ?
your video amazing bro...with ur voice it really have an attraction for the audience. keep it up..done subscribe..oh ya..have a question here..haha..can u suggest me 4k uhd tv budget around rm2000 and below..thks
Thank you very much for the informativ and funny content! Just bought it with a jbl sound bar and hoped for good review😂 very curious when its all set up. But the price in 2022 was amazing👍
All the best!
How did you find the TV? Any ghosting or black crush?
@@Dark5tar111 Hi There! I had not one issue with this TV. No ghosting or black crushes. Really Happy with the endresult.
The JBL soundbar has it's weaknesses in the middle tones, which means, that if you watch an action movie, the conversations are barely hearable, but if the action starts, your home is shivering.
Best Regards
@@joelmattenberger8365 thanks for your reply. I just bought a 75” over the weekend and have been happy with it. No booking out backlight bleed, ghosting our motion issues so far. There was a little DSE but it’s expected for an LCD TV.
I’d be keen to know your picture settings if you’re able to share with us.
where do get that spacemann background
ruclips.net/video/5_Blq9W9cT8/видео.html
Does VRR disable Local Dimming?
I'm not sure about the picture quality. I have a feeling that corners of my 75" screen are pale and overall picture looks more like reflection of screen projector. These issues are not noticable on 4K content, but anything below , it is not so enjoyable as my previous smaller screen
Do you experience the black crush on this set?
Is it true that it keeps ambilight on white on a dark background???
Not really, you can set your own ambilight style under the settings
Does anybody have any good picture settings for gaming?
Nits brightness ?
I like it your video bro ❤️❤️
Thanks for watching :)
I love your vid

where is ghosting test?
Bought the 65 inch today for €1300. Lets gooo
Hocam selamlar.
