Come on folks -- let's show a little kindness to these crafters who put themselves out there. I know as a crafter I am always excited about even the simple things that I do and want to share it with friends.
It makes me feel good to see that the majority of the negative comments toward this RUclipsr seem to have fallen to the bottom of the feed. Probably because others are giving them thumbs-down. After all, who really needs more negativity when there is already so much of it in the world.
I’ve been looking for Dollar Tree cutting boards for months for other projects. I love this idea. Love your channel. So funny about 20 years ago I had three giant clear totes that had nothing but Dollar Tree products to craft with. So funny because half the time I had no where to go with my ideas. Just didn’t have what we do now days. I ended up losing my most expensive room which crazily was my craft room in a house fire. Years worth of everything tools, paper, ribbons, stickers, machines, buttons, beads. I found your channel today what a joy!
I'm thinking this would be a great gift caddy for a teacher gift. Put jars inside and fill with pens, pencils, dry erase markers, candy, the possibilities are endless. Glad I found this. Awesome job
This is SO cute! It would make a great gift "basket" for weddings, Christmas gifts for neighbors, care packages, and Easter gifts. It would also make a great place to put mail you have to sort through. And a wonderful caddy for art supplies (especially paint brushes). So clever! Thanks for sharing!
You have the prettiest face and smile and the kindest voice!! I love your craft so well that I'm going to DT to get for a few items to make this craft for myself. Very well done!!! Thank you for sharing.
I love all the creative uses others have suggested so here is my unsolicited suggestion.... I saw it as a recipe card holder! Then you could use the E6000 to adhere binder clips to the dowel to hold which ever recipe you're using.
Great idea. There is so much you can do with this. I also think it would look cute with the dowel rod just fitting from end to end and adding a cute knob, like a cut glass knob, on the end. Just something else to mix it up, especially if you're making more than one. Thanks for sharing!
I think the box would make a great gift..you could really make this personal to go with their home decor like bath soaps, loofahs, etc. Or make your preacher happy and stuff it full of his favorite cookies for pastor appreciation!
Love this I have some look recipe sheets, great place to store them, and I know the design i want to use. Very clear and to the point tutorial. Cant wait till your next.
I could not for the life of me figure out what you were trying to make. I'm so glad I didn't click off because You are so creative!! This is so cute!! I'm going to make a few and use them as planters for my apt patio. Thank you for sharing. I was so impressed, I subscribed!!😁😁 God Bless and Stay Safe!❤
Hi Kerri, I am trying to catch up on the video''s I have missed. I have just been in so much pain I couldn't even enjoy watching your videos. I really love this. I can see how I could make it to fit in my grandkids rooms for school supplies. I can use themed paper! Thank you again for sharing your God given talent! Love ya girl!
Thank you for sharing your talents w/ us. Beautifully finished!

Showed this to someone...and they used the contact paper from DT. Then the cut the dowel to the exact length, drilled the ends, and inserted drawer knobs with epoxy.
I LOVE this! I have everything in my stash all ready to go. I was planning on making this box for a while so I'm super happy you showed how you did yours. Thank you so very much!!!
Love the idea!! I'm going to try making mine with extra fabric I have on hand. I will make one for each room in my house. It will be great for my sewing room. I'm going to pad one side so I can use it to hold my pins like a pincushion. You got my brain working...THANKS!!!😀😀
Hey Mama! Tough crowd, eh? Never mind.... I really loved how excited you were about the project. Thanks very much for sharing this idea.Personally, I found not showing what you were going to do with those Dollar Tree goodies (the finished product) intriguing. As St. Augustine said, "Patience is the companion of wisdom." Very versatile end result that I'm definitely going to make (I'm thinking these would be a great gift idea)...I'm likely going to use fabric instead of the paper and, in some cases, a little padding that will allow the use of some small thumbtacks. Stay safe and well!
Now this is a awesome idea. I was not liking this project at all until you gave me this great ideas. I am a quilter. I will add a fabric with padding to act as a pin cushion, the box will hold scissors and seam rippers. Thank you!!
@@BuckeyeNan Oh how nice, I'd love to see the end result! I'm a bit of a sewist, not yet into quilting but would like to do the mini quilts or dolls quilts/quilts for barbies/plush toys/babies and small dogs/cats. Basically any type of quilt that smaller for smaller purposes or for decorative purposes, like wall hangings or to cover dresser or table tops.
Laugh this project! I’m definitely going to do this and use it either in my sewing room (pin cushion on the side, white board on another, scissors inside with tri-level in the bottom to put various size items ie, small rulers, cutter wheels, seam rippers, etc , the sky is the limit! I can even make another for my frequent used kitchen utensils and tiny wheels. Omg! I’m so excited! Thanks!
Agreed! I might want to try making a few of these and doing different paint colors and papers. Especially when I like many colors and hues of the same ones.
Really interesting upcycle. I may not do a similar styling but the concept of being able to use the cutting boards as sides and precut, premade... into a typical shape that lends itself to this idea, is making me think of all kinds of boxes to make. I bought an old carpenters tool box of similar shape. Great idea! Thanks!
Love this..I was looking for something pretty to put my hair dryer in so I don't have to leave it up on my vanity. Going to give this a try once I'm able to venture safely back into this crazy world.
This is so adorable!! I had no clue as to where you were going with all the supplies until I saw the dowel! Bingo! Great job, I love it! Please stay safe!🙏🏻👍😊
If you don’t add the cutting boards and add construction paper to the bottom foam board it makes and cute farm house napkin holder. Amazing diy! Love it ❤️
Ok, here’s my idea inspired from your video: If the dowel wasn’t so thick, you could glue a little wooden doohickey on one end of the dowel, and dry fit one on the other end, to hold in place. Then you could put rolls of ribbon on the dowel to dispense them. Maybe could even put some scissors, tape, and cards in the bottom for a gift wrap caddy. Second idea: similar, but with original dowel thickness, make a TP holder, for those who don’t have one built into their wall. Could set it on top of a nearby table or glue it to a wooden stand, to make a freestanding model. And I liked Scott’s comment about the cabinet knobs; could use instead of the doohickeys. Knobs cd be screwed into end of dowel. Or you could drill 1/4” hole on ends of the thicker dowel, then cut short pieces of 1/4” doweling (or whatever size fits into your knobs) glue to inside of knob and into one end of bigger dowel, and leave the other end a dry fit so it’s removable to change the roll. In fact, if the sides of the box were longer, it could make a great paper towel dispenser. Just make sure it’s sturdy enough to take a beating from constant use. Very creative video!
Omgoodness soo creative would have never thought to do this!!❤️ I’ve been struggling with make wooden/ crate type plant stands!!! Love this and your ideas❤️
Oh wow! Very cool! And handy ! I Love the Dollar Tree!😊Thank you for sharing Great Ideas and showing us how to piece it together! I Love this! Containers always come in handy around my place. ..I need to make several and more as gifts !
You did it to me again, I couldn't figure out what you were doing until the very end. It looks great I really like what you did. Thanks for another awesome DIY.
I would suggest having an image of the finished product at the beginning of the video instead of at the very end. I actually went to the end to see what the product was going to be then I went back and watched the entire video. Just a suggestion.
I love this idea! Was just talking to a friend yesterday about her needing something to hold her kitchen utensils and this showed up in my feed today. Tysmfs this versatile box craft with us❤
Love watching you and hearing your Southern accent. I’m an Texan girl so it’s good to hear a familiar accent. Your DIYS are so good and I feel like I’m at home.

That was fun. I'm ready to be using the two glue combination for holding fast when connecting (especially) angle seams. Thanks for your cheerful sharing. Thumbs up to taking on long planned projects. I've got those from over decsdes when I'd think this will be good "when the power go out". I had this notion of something coming. I'm so grateful for the Web. This is actually a cute dollar tree diy. Usually people make things that seem like they'll just fall apart instantly or they aren't very creative but this one was actually enjoyable and original. I love idea of using it for plants, you could make this and give it as a cute little gift for a birthday or Christmas.
Come on folks -- let's show a little kindness to these crafters who put themselves out there. I know as a crafter I am always excited about even the simple things that I do and want to share it with friends.

Jennifer Bennett another great use for it!
Very versatile.....love the bathroom idea.
This would make great storage for stamps and dies, minus the dowel. Blessings Shirlene
Kkk
ShirlsCraftyWorld , absolutely it sure would.
Or put rolls of ribbon or washi tape on a thinner dowel....
Oh just so cute. I think it would be great on a desk for mail or pens, scissors etc. thanks for the neat idea.

why not use no nails and it could glue and fill at the same time
Very cute idea! This would be a great little gift , because a person can use it in any room.

This is a great idea. A picture of grandbabies always makes a grandparent smile. ♥️
This is a great idea. There are so many different things you could do with it to personalize it or make it work in any room of the house.
Super cute idea!!! I wish I could be as creative as you are! I'm going to try this diy - and THANK YOU!!!
That is so stinking cute. I have an idea based on this for Christmas gifts.
Michelle Barteski that is the cutest most versatile price I have seen yet!!! Can’t wait to make one or two!!!!
I hought that's so stinking cute too lol
I was thinking it would be a great bridal shower gift. A picture of the bride and groom would personalize it. I would add wine glasses and a small bottle of wine with little snacks for their wedding night.
Deborah Cordero, it might not be strong enough for that kind of weight. You’d need to test it out.

Could you make a list of the supplies you used. Like the size of the frames, and cutting boards? And were did you get the white cardboard?
Hey Jill! Click the drop down button to access the Description Box and you should see the Supply List. :) Happy DIYing!
Can't wait to try making this caddy. It's too cute!
Didn’t have a preview, so scrolled thru to the end. Cute idea. Took to long to get there.
Loving the box, it could hold my skeins or balls of yarn while I’m doing a project 🧶 thanx for the idea 👏🏾
