@@SPscorevideos The piece is composed by Joseph Haydn. Believe me, I have performed this piece on second Horn. And I am a professional Hornplayer. I know what I am talking about.
@SPscorevideos To be fair, there are rumours about if Haydn has really composed this another Horn Concerto. But if there is hard evidence that proof Haydn has not written those, I will stay with Haydn.
The score of this concerto, bearing the name of Michael Haydn, was found in 1954 and attributed to Joseph Haydn. Subesequently, most editions published it as Joseph's, a minority on MIchael's. None of them provided any source for a certain attribution (this concerto is not mentioned by Haydn in his catalogue). The odds of this concerto being actually by Joseph or even Michael Haydn are close to zero. Amongst the other composers of the same, the one with the closer style to this concerto (and more likely to having wrote a 2 Horn Concerto, and to having ended up with that publisher changing his name with M. Haydn's) is currently Antonio Rosetti - although of course without a 100% of accuracy, and still open to further debate. More info here: keep.lib.asu.edu/items/149995
Brilliant horn writing...perhaps even more brilliant are the two players who pull it off on this level...thanks for sharing
Very nice music, played virtuously, I like it.
Muy bello el concierto !!!
An undeservedly neglected concerto and composer. I definitely plan to listen to more of Antonio Rosetti's works!
I love it.
Perfecto!
Так кто автор этого прекрасного произведения? Гайдн или Розетти?
As you can see in description, this was erroneous attribuet to Haydn in the past.
Прекрасная вещь, обязательно сделаю переложение для одной валторны и фно

This is Haydn concert for 2 horns.
Yes, this was previously attributed to Haydn and some people still know it as being Haydn's. :)
