The basics is the best tool for improvement. More power sir Paul.
Train. Train. Train. Thanks Bro'. You keep me coming back. 🙏
Sir Paul you inspire me to start my journey in Kali.
The basics should be a part of every kali training routine
I agree!
Danke from Germany.

Pashawrawt💕
Good stuff! Every time you go back to the basics I end up tweaking my understanding on the mechanics. Thanks, Paul!
Awesome!! 👍🏻🙏🏻⚔️
Thank you for an excellent presentation.
Thanks!
Welcome!
Improved my circular 2 from this. back to basics always helpful. Excellent
Thanks for all the videos , I was glad to see you started adding bo staff videos as well. I just bought a hanbo , so the staff videos are an excellent addition. Your kali videos are awesome!
Thank you, kep them coming.
Great video for a Kali newbie. 🙏🏼🤙🏼
I agree, I did some Arnis/Escrima in a MMA gym but it was something we did on Wednesdays, we'd practice some basic striking then do some padded weapon sparring. We focused more on Muy Thai and Jujutsu techniques. Also did some other stuff. The guy who created the system had like 10 black belts. It was pretty cool. If you paid for the whole package it came with extra MMA specific classes and then BJJ as well. I did stay after for the BJJ but the actual MMA I didn't cause that was geared more towards actually fighting, and I never had an interest. We did sparring regularly and I was satisfied with that.
I was. Waiting. Your life. Today morning you make it. Evening hhhh I was. Ready with my. Stick I will make it evening thank you sir
So I dunno if you've seen the trailer for Raya and the Last Dragon, but it looks like she uses escrima arnis sticks in that movie! Kinda cool!!
You rock 😁
Gracias 👍
🙏🏻
I have a metal rod sitting around, it kinda weigh a bit but is it a viable training weapon?
Great video. I like how you mentioned this is good for a training bolo or a sword. Practiced it in the garage so I used a 24 inch dowel, and practiced afterward same techniques with a folded 2 inch chain (so that both ends of the chain were in the same hand, longer chains don't work well, unless manipulated so that you are throwing between 1 and 1` and 1/2 inch per strike, as long as it is folded).
Can this be used in knife too?
I don't have a training Bolo, so I use my sticks, then my Wakizashi. 🤷
I have both sticks and training bolos. Do you recommend diving straight into this with the bolos, or doing sticks for a while and then bolos? Asking because the training bolos weigh more.
Just work them both in. Switch off
@@kalicenter Thanks. The method seems to work, and I like how it feels switching the weights. Definitely more effective than just working the one or the other.
Can this help you with empty hands?
Yes
I find this hard to do
Especially with my left hand
I was like u in 2019, but I'm keep practicing slowly. And then I got the coordination, just like Paul said "let's begin nice and slow" That's really help. Now I can practicing double stick more faster and good.
Just keep practicing nice and slow... Everything need a progress and journey. Don't give up. Good luck for your training.
*sorry for the bad english
@@elmerpendejo6612 After a year, I still have trouble with the left, but it's much better then when I first started. If your right hand was the dominant one your whole life, it takes time for the left to finally feel comfortable doing the right hand's job.
Keep training. Focus on slow smooth movements and train persistently everyday. It will get easier over time.
