Even if you’re not ‘culturally’ (american’s perception of the culture) jewish, you’re still jewish. I didn’t go to hebrew school, i didn’t grow up with lox and cream cheese, i had no idea what brisket was until college, and am not a big fan of matza ball soup. All of those things are part of the american jewish stereotype. Instead, i grew up listening to music in hebrew and arabic, eating iraqi/israeli dishes, and had parents speaking hebrew to each other on the daily. All of which are experiences no one in my college chabad shared. A jew is a jew is a jew. A ‘bad’ jew, is still part of the community. It would have been nice if they included a ‘bad’ jew.
"How do you go from being in Jewish school your whole life and then not go to a Jewish college" Yeah, I was really into law, but the school wasn't jewish so I just dropped out
I think it’s more like if someone went to catholic preschool and catholic elementary school and catholic high school they’re likely doing it because they want a catholic education so they’re probably going to a catholic college not anyone who goes to catholic school has to go to a catholic college. Just swapping the religion because it’s more common where I live at least.
@Van Myers Not necessarily. Your parents have full control of your schooling until college, so going from a Jewish elementary school to high school doesn't say much about their devotion.
Didn't understand why they voted out Haley, she was the one raising her hand to continue the game, if she was the mole she wouldn't have had and just get the money
They were just showing their Jewishness by voting her out because they want her cut from the prize money. After that they were confident that all of them were in fact Jews.
I mean it’s true but I was just shocked when she said you know so much and ya money but your supposed to get a person out if they are not the person who they really are and I bet she was mad when that girl said that.
I thought he said he didn't have a religious upbringing? could still be culturally Jewish. Jews are the least religious, religious group in this nation. One can be raised culturally Jewish and not religiously.
I really appreciate that they had someone with a Christian father and someone that converted, but I think this could have been a lot more interesting if they also included Orthodox and Conservative Jews instead of just secular and reform Jews.
The open-voting would only be a good thing if they always changed the order in which they said the names. Because the names that were said first were never voted. If one person wanted to vote for the first person or the fifth for example, he's gonna check of anyone else votes for the first and everybody would do the same so no one votes. And then the fifth cones and he's gonna be like oh I have to vote. So for the first rounds, the persons mentioned last have more chances to lose...
I don't think the connection here is causative. They just happened to doubt those people far less than everyone else. Also Haley got voted out and her name was first.
Scarrr 7K not really. If people choose who they wanted to pick before the voting happen then you would see hands shoot up immediately. Notice how in some voting rounds some people hesistantly put their hands up many seconds after others already have. Also pay attention to how people are looking at each other.

Yep I would have failed these tests. I’ve never done birthright, I eat pork, and I have a tattoo, and my Hebrew sucks. However, I’m still very Jewish by blood and have Jewish beliefs.
Ryan Benner Ya those are like pretty bad in Jewish culture lol but it’s chill

I really appreciate that they had someone with a Christian father and someone that converted, but I think this could have been a lot more interesting if they also included Orthodox and Conservative Jews instead of just secular and reform Jews.

Rando M oh you’re Jewish? Name every prayer
No thats incorrect, because people choose who they want to pick before the voting happens. The order of which they call the names is irrelevant
I don't think the connection here is causative. They just happened to doubt those people far less than everyone else. Also Haley got voted out and her name was first.
haley was voted out and her name was first
Scarrr 7K not really. If people choose who they wanted to pick before the voting happen then you would see hands shoot up immediately. Notice how in some voting rounds some people hesistantly put their hands up many seconds after others already have. Also pay attention to how people are looking at each other.
