The part of "but this is a tuuurtle", said while drawing the little smile on the turtle's face had me rolling the first time I saw it.
Never expected someone would react to this show and pull out a sculpture of four mighty elephants standing on the back of a noble turtle. The magic of RUclips.

The character's homelands are based on the actors. Matt is English, Natasia is English with Greek ancestry, and Kayvan is English with Iranian ancestry. Oh, and Nandor's empire was called Al Qolnidar, which sounds kind of like "without alcohol" in Farsi lol.
I have a theory it's really just Canada.
Yeah Nat's Dad came over from Cyprus. I recommend Stath Lets Flats. Natasia is in it with her brother Jamie who wrote the script. It's hilarious.
Nandor would make a great flat earther.

Another great reaction to a fantastic series you are so right about the Discworld books, the late great Sir Terry Pratchett is my favourite ever author and i have read ahd reread the Discworld series so mwny times.

Laszlo’s birth name is Leslie, he probably chose Laszlo himself. And Nandor was supposedly ottoman but they changed it to Iran because that’s where Kayvan’s parents are from.
My theory is that Nadja either didn’t like or couldn’t pronounce Leslie and called him Laszlo instead (in the way she did with Jesk) and he just rolled with it.
Yep, totally agree. Read the Discworld novels and you won't be disappointed.
Watch "The Watch" however and you'll want to pull out your own eyeballs .
Discworld has the potential to be a fantastic cinematic universe but its so far been a very hit and miss affair.

Colour of magic

Season 5 drops July 13th, so you will be able to slide right into it. I love the character developments in this episode. Or at least hopefully so.

I just recently started reading The colour of magic 😁 I'd actually caught the movie years ago, I'm not even sure I was aware of the books at the time, but I knew about the elephants and the turtle because of it when I saw this episode last year 😁 As a fan of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, have you read/seen Good omens? Season 2 of the show is about to come out next month and it's been one of my faves since I saw s1 back in 2019.
would be fun if they had something like the unseen university wizards in this world... hehehe. And a corporal Carrot, the Giant dwarf.

What happened to Expanse Neil?
Neil has been silent for a while, most uncharacteristic of him, hoping he's ok.
I suppose, he knows about the problem of blocked content and is searching for a workaround. A message to the community would be great, though...
What happened to any reaction? A lot of reactors aren't doing anything because of support for the Hollywood strike. They could and should tell us that though.
