- The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney's Hollywood Studios is a unique themed dining experience modeled after a 1950s drive-in theater Guests are seated in booths resembling convertibles and eat traditional American Cuisine while being entertained by a large projection screen displaying clips of 1950s and 1960s films like Frankenstein Meets the Space Monster, Plan 9 from Outer Space, and Attack of the 50 Foot Woman.

That looks like a super cool place. They should totally bring drive-in theaters back. However, our family wouldn’t be able to plan that far advance for a reservation.😂 thanks for sharing!!
You can keep checking back to see if something opens up. People give up and cancel reservations all the time. But if you want to be guaranteed a spot it's necessary to plan ahead :(

depending on when you go to the park and how many in your party you can often get a table as a walk-up.
Our family’s been there a couple times, it’s a lot of fun, highly recommended.

Went to Disney in 2001 (yes, 2001… not a typo) as our first “we’re adults now!” trip with friends. It was so hot, we were hungry, and we just wanted food and to rest our feet and enjoy Air Conditioning.
We just happened to by walking by The Sci-Fi dine in so checked with the host… “one of the picnic tables is available or it’s an hour wait for a car.”
“We’ll take the table please!!!”
Ahhh, air conditioning. Our server kept apologizing that we didn’t get a car. “No really, we picked this because we were all hot and cranky and just wanted water, food, and AC now! This is so perfect, it feels so good to be off our feet!” Our server brought us so much water (and we drank it all!) and treated us to glow in the dark flying saucers (frisbees) and glow in the dark souvenir cups… because apparently nobody should have to sit at the picnic tables at the Sci-Fi Dine In.
Hope she got kudos from Disney as we made sure someone knew what a great cast member who gave us a great experience when all we wanted was AC, water, and food
