My FAVOURITE restaurant on the planet. I don't know why people generally look down on the food here - it stands up against any other food at wdw, but the outstanding atmosphere elevates each simple dish to an experience. Our brains take the information from ALL of our senses to give a response to food that we taste. SciFi dine-in is the jewel in the Hollywood Studios' crown.
Seating in a car is the total experience, my wife and I are so sad you didn't get one. But you guys are amazing remaining so positive at the "ufo table." Glad you're having a good time, you are an inspiration to us all.

I don’t know why Sci Fi gets a bad wrap. It’s one of my all time favorites. I love the theming and being immersed in my childhood drive-in memories with some great food!
Looked like so much fun! And the food options are perfectly suited for a drive in theatre vibe. Anyone expecting more has obviously forgotten what the snack shack at a drive in theatre is like. ☺️
We’ve dined here every time we’ve gone to Disney because we love the vibe ☺️. My family has a couple picky eaters so the food is great for that because of its simple 50’s diner type food! Last time we were there, they kept messing up our order so we got free appetizers (deep fried pickles and onion rings were amazing!!!) and some fun reusable cups 🙌☺️

I RARELY comment on any channel but with you two.....we just had to reach out. We just need to tell you how much we enjoyed “Home Is Where The Vlog Is”. It was such a great escape every day as we ate lunch. We live in Kansas and have been married for 47 years. We are retired and are working on living our best life!! We are currently at Disney World and today at Epcot. We bought the print from Greg McCullough and told him we had watched the vlog when you bought it. He enthusiastically remember you two with delight!! It would be great to see you in person but, if not, have a safe and wonderful trip! Please know your hard work makes so many people happy. This is my all time favorite restaurant at WDW. I try to go whenever I visit. I found their burger to be okay, but the steak and potatoes on their regular (pre-covid) menu is surprisingly good. I get it every time (when they have it on the menu.)
Pictures and videos can’t really capture what it’s actually like to be in there. Very cool place to be and I think the cars are for reservations and the picnic style tables are for walk in dining.
This is the one place I’m bummed I didn’t get a reservation for my trip in May. I’m hoping a dinner time ressie becomes open leading up to my trip. I know my kiddos will love being able to chill out and watching the “movies” and I just find this vibe so freaking fun! Thanks for sharing, BLAB! 💕
Keep checking back every week especially the week of your park day! Most reservations become available the day before because if their 24 hour cancellation policy. I always get my reservations this way for my family of 5. You can also walk up as soon as they open up and ask if they have any openings for the day. Good luck!
My family loves that place! The food is perfect for the theme - diner appetizers and entrees, and great milk shakes! The atmosphere is right on par with the cars and movies! Definitely underrated but we love it. Glad you liked it too!
I have the vague-est of memories of eating there as a kid. I do remember being pretty excited about it and I think there's a picture somewhere for proof of it. Just the coolest idea. Walt Disney parks are just the best!

One of the best steaks we have ever had on property was at the Sci Fi. People alway poo poo the restaurant but it’s one of our favs. It good comfort food. Agree with you guys the vibe is awesome. It’s especially good in the middle of summer - it’s cool and dark. Nice break from the heat and sun.

My family of five made our first trip to the Magic Kingdom last month. We got lucky and found an open reservation at Sci Fi on our last night in the parks. We all loved that place. I had no idea what it was all about. It was great. My kids got a shake but I was so full and couldn’t even take a sip. Have fun.
I ate there (in a car) two years ago and LOVED it. The best milkshake on property! I love the “welcome to the 50’s” as you cross the threshold from backstage into the drive-in.

5:54. Nailed it right on the head. I read a lot of bad reviews before we went on our honeymoon to WDW but was curious to try it and we both enjoyed it thoroughly. Its not a 5 star eatery or a California Grill type but it's a fun burger and shake place. Also had an excellent server and we got a free dessert cause we had on the bride and groom ears. Would definitely eat there again!
I agree that this is one of the coolest dining locations in WDW. I went twice, first in 2017 with my family and second during my solo trip in 2019. I was lucky to get a car both times and highly recommend! The food, drink, venue and experience were all incredible 🤩
It’s sad that you guys never got to go on The Great Movie Ride before it closed. Spencer especially would have loved all the classic Hollywood vibes. The loading area before your ride starts is set in the Hollywood Hills, very similar to this place visually.

We loved Sci-Fi Diner we went there on our second day at Disneyworld and it was amazing the drinks were great the food delicious when i saw Katies fried pickles i got so excited for you because they were super yummy. Your spaceship was so cute glad you had an amazing experience

SciFi Dine-In is a tradition for my family and we always eat there every time we go to WDW. As a SoCal local and AP holder, I’m missing Disney so much. Your WDW series brings a fresh perspective to the parks partially because Spencer points out details that most of the Florida vloggers don’t. The California perspective is one I connect with as well, we’re always comparing our experiences between WDW and DLR but love them equally for different reasons. Katie, thank you for unashamedly showing your excitement for the new things you’re experiencing. Hoping to run into you guys for the 50th while we’re there 9/23-10/8.😊

Have you ever really been to Carnation? I used to live there. Yes that is where Carnation Milk really came from. Miss it a lot. As a kid you don't realize what you have. Grass is always greener somewhere else, my else is Cali.

When my kids were younger, we’d always eat there, everyone always enjoyed the food. It was a nice change, since back in the 90’s Disney tried to make everyone eat healthy, everything had a multigrain bun, and it all tasted the same, no matter where you went.
We LOVE Sci-Fi.... although I have to say that I would demand a car if they tried to sit us at a table like that!

The food is quite pricey for what is ordinary fast food. You pay for the theming which is amazing.

We always try to eat at the Sci-fi Drive-in when we go to Hollywood Studios. Such a great experience and atmosphere!
