I completely agree with you. He’s the whole package. Don’t forget that he was a high school student when he was recruited by Harbaugh into Michigan program that’s never beaten Ohio State. Of note, JJ McCarthy was also recruited by Mike Yurcich at Ohio State as well. As a young high school student, it’s so easy to join the established team and just continue to win, but NOT for JJ. He chose the harder path. It shows maturity, how coachable he is, and most importantly, he has the ability to stay committed to his words. He, amongst other key players, are the face of a “student-led” football culture at Michigan. That’s priceless. We already know his exceptional athletic ability on the field, but all the off-field intangibles that’s required in a QB, he has them. He just has that friendly and approachable aura to him as well and you can see that effect has passed over to everyone in that locker room. I think if Harbaugh was to go off to a NFL team with #1 draft pick (fingers crossed he stays at Michigan for LIFE unless he goes to my Raiders lol), he’s picking this kid up with the first pick.

Amazing how many Buckeye fans dont realize that Ryan Day changed the signs before this game and last years game. Also, can you imagine the despair at ESPN? ESPN, Ryan Day and Tony Petitti must be devastated Michigan won without Harbaugh, all that effort and coordination these past 2 months for nothing.
Ryan Day said he changed his signs, not Michigan fans. You guys that cling to a narrative that has been dead for weeks because you cannot take an L is just sad.@@kevinjohnston4923

Amazing game and sad result for me. Both teams played great michigan just didn’t make mistakes which won them the game. Very well coached. Sad that the game won’t mean as much anymore as it did growing up. We’ll be back next year. Go bucks!
GG Bucks. It was truly a dog fight til the very end. I was crapping my pants when OSU had the ball in our territory with under a minute left, knowing that Maserati Marv could end it for us on a single play from there!
Sherrone Moore is not Michigan's coach nor should he be Michigan's coach. Even if you keep the bulk of the championship infrastructure, if Michigan is to win at this level than you do everything you can to retain Harbaugh. You take a great risk when you just take Harbaugh for granted and fall under the delusion that Moore will be as good. Michigan won because Harbaugh still leads this team.
Jim Harbaugh has to stay. We cannot underestimate the Baltimore Ravens relationship and football knowledge the Harbaugh’s jointly bring to the program.
Some truly do. Anyone calling for Ryan Days head needs to have their fan card revoked. Is it not enough proof how bad people in the south wanted him at A&M? They want what we have so bad and peoppe just want to push a top 5 coach out the door. Iv been trying to talk my fellow fans off the ledge for 3 days.
2021 for me, but that's more because I was there and the atmosphere with the snow was amazing. This year would be a close second because of everything going on. Insulting OSU and its fans has never felt better than it does right now.
I am a big Michigan fan have been my whole life and I am so happy and excited that we have now done at 3 years in a row and there's no excuses that anybody can say but JJ has only one two against Ohio State not three in the reason I say that is because when we won in 2021 JJ was not the starter it was Cade McNamara what is the quarterback JJ was a freshman and was sitting the bench he is 2-0 against Ohio State but with that being sad at the end of this year he will be the first Michigan quarterback to bring a national championship to the wolverines since 97 with Tom Brady and greasy
This game was epic. Born on third base Day has Buck Nuts pulling their hairs out.....and Harbaugh took a dumpster fire he inherited to 3 straight B1G titles.
At the risk of sounding very cheesy, I am at an age where I no longer care about what my inner cynical mind thinks so here we go. The Team. A Team is made up of individuals, all of whom need to be melded to a specific goal. These people need to trust and love one another, much like a family. A team needs to not only have a center focus, but they need to also be laser focused. All of which is present here in the Team. A team can be all of these things and still not achieve their main goal, a championship. This team is yet to know, how much they understand this. That team knows all too well, for they have suffered for three long years no, the indignation from their arch enemy, what defeat looks and feels like. A talented team yet one of great folly, its own self love, conceit, cynicism and the worst trait, denial. They also have not been nearly as tough these past few years and it shows. When a team is manhandled and literally beaten up physically, what then is a team to do? The Team goes through much in any season, media, lies, conjecture, envy from opponents that are desperate to sling arrows and make much a do, about nothing. Does this break a team apart, surely it could. This Team is Galvanized. You have made it stronger, a facinating power to obtain especially so late in a season. A Team sees past the season, they see the rewards to come, can almost taste it. The enemy points fingers, cries and whales in jealousy and frustration. In conclusion, you know when you have the upper hand, the victory over the enemy when they refuse to even say your name. Darkness can not survive where there is light. Now the light shines abundantly upon...The Team. That darkness has been vanquished for another year. If The Team keeps the humility and the light, they will win forever. Where might this Team of Victory reside, in you and in me? Possibly, on occasion sure, but it especially resides in one place in particular. Up North! So then, as per usual, let us all sing aloud, Hail to the victors valiant, hail to the conquering hero's! Hail Hail, to MICHIGAN! TTUN! THE TEAM UP NORTH! (in the creepiest whisper full of anger, Say my Name!) MICHIGAN!
Born on third base, lost third straight game to great Michigan wolverines and going to hire third PI firm soon... Oh wait need help call uncle Lou Holtz.
On one of his recent podcast, Mark Rogers said that he still believes that OSU is a slightly better football team than UM. He has had three football seasons to see that that isn't the case. Go figure.
It’s only cause osu on paper should be beating us like they have been the last 20 years before these 3 seasons cause their recruiting rankings are insane and Michigans are average yet we still whoop em
Let’s not forget the fact that in 2021 Steve said he had given up hope on Michigan and wasn’t going to watch the game. Fast forward 2 years later and this is where we are lol. It’s comical.
Ohio State fans are losing their mind with Ryan Day. The guy is 56-7. Only three losses to Michigan, Clemson once, Alabama once, Oregon once (reg season), and Georgia once. I hope they keep him. He is a near-elite head coach. Day needs to realize he needs to hire some assistant coaches who can develop their five-star-laden roster. This oversight might be Day's greatest weakness: The idiom cannot see the forest for the trees comes to mind. Day is too preoccupied with elite recruitment of talent and he seems unable to see the big picture. Michigan recruits three and four-star talent and develops them into five-star level talent over several years. It takes time, but it clearly works as evidenced by three regular-season losses to Michigan... I wouldn't complain if they fire Day but really? Who else would be able to handle that schizophrenic fan base for more than a few losses along the way?
Kinda bugs me how when Michigan is dominating the rivalry osu has to settle with a season so bad they still go 11-1 still having a chance in the playoffs and 10-2 along with winning the rose bowl to finish 11-2 while Michigan was just average to above average when osu was dominating and before my time of watching Michigan we were terrible with rod and hoke outside of one season
Ohio State needs to improve at QB next year whether it be Devin Brown, Lincoln Kieinholz or Air Noland. It should not be McCord under any circumstances.
You can tell the level of discipline at Michigan because right away the players were all looking toward the championship game. These guys are focused and you can see the relationship they have with one another and staff. Michigan is a well oiled machine hitting on all cylinders.
Everyone who voted for 2023 as their favorite win is suffering from recency bias. It’s definitely close but that 2021 win, I think a lot of ppl forget how incredible that win felt. That was my absolute favorite moment in sports all time. 2023 was bigger because if we’d lost everyone would instantly be saying we were only beating OSU because of “cheating”.
This one felt bigger for the narrative but 21 definitely carried more weight. That was the best offense in OSU history and Michigan simply ran them over in a game no one expected to see.
Michigan has yet to play in the big game. They have merely qualified to play in their league championship. If they win then they will qualify for the CFP. There is some tough sledding ahead before Michigan can get into the big game.
Osucks JR classmen were the number two recruiting class of 2021. Unlike 2021, there is no collection of talent in all of CFB too big for UM to run with.
@@gabeswitala2292 You may be right but that remains to be seen. Michigan's last three games were only won by one score and both the Ohio State coach and the Penn State coach's were widely criticized for their poor coaching.
@@KenAlbertson And without their HC might I add? If HCs didnt matter that much then why bother having them on the sideline at all? Why cant they jusy sit up in the box too? I'm not saying they are infallible or unbeatable. Just saying that in 21 against UGA they were out of their depth and plain out matched physically. That disparity no longer exists. Just the same as last year, for them to lose it would require a total team effort. I say UMs O is good for at least 35 against UGA. However UGA is the best offense UM would face all year long.
Im pausing at 24:01. If Josh Perry has such a problem, and hes Been VERY VOCAL, HE NEEDS HUSH AND TAKE HIS ASS TO THE WOODY. otherwise this isnt you anymore and these new players dont need to hear it. They need to feel it.

Only one thing to say: GO BLUE!!!
There’s only one thing that I disagree with you Steve. JJ McCarthy is the whole package and I think he’s completely underrated.

First time I’ve teared up watching Michigan Podcast.
Let’s hope Tony doesn’t try anything before Saturday. I don’t put it past him
Why don’t you understand that there wasn’t time to change every sign? TCU had time and look what they did to you.
Ryan Day said he changed his signs, not Michigan fans. You guys that cling to a narrative that has been dead for weeks because you cannot take an L is just sad.@@kevinjohnston4923
oh lord, enough with the sign bs. I would have to imagine if big ten commissioner pulled another attempt at suspension the legal rectification would have to be in place after the agreement the Thursday before Maryland.
TCU also had time to learn Michigan's signs after OSU gift wrapped it to them
It feels so good to watch this, after The Game (I was THERE too! 😃🏈〽️🟡🔵)
Michigan hit harder than osu
All three times the better team won, Ohio State fans and Ryan Day just refused to accept this.
Sooooo truuuueeeee😂
I’ve been waiting for this video since the Rod Moore put the turnover Buffs on 〽️〽️〽️〽️〽️
I didn't get to answer your poll, but if I look at these games individually, this win in 2023 was the most satisfying....
GO BLUE!
You sir have the best video opening intro
For all the young fans that think this is new. No, the rivalry is back to normal. #GoBlue
Another great episode Steve 👍🏻
Not sure how can you say that this years window is more open than last year. That’s quite the take
I thought it was an overreaction to fire Harbaugh in 2020. I knew he would turn it around.
You cannot bottle the culture of winning, it is
The Coach, The coach, The Coach.
Congrats Michigan!
Just win / Just leave the B1G.
Ohio State fans take “delusional” to another. It’s just glorious to watch.
😂😂😂😂well said😂😂😂Gooooo Bluuuuuueeeeee Baby
Been waiting for Steve’s thoughts! 😂
I had never heard of what Michigan is doing with its NIL until about the 29:00 mark here. Is there a way to find out more about this?
39:06 Steve had to let one rip real quick 💩. You can hear the mute button quickly get clicked.
Harbaugh cheated.
The best part is that bucknut fans will have to replay the game again and again to scour the crowd and sidelines for Harbaugh and Stallions.
😂😂😂
😂
Outstanding....
(in the creepiest whisper full of anger, Say my Name!)
MICHIGAN!
GO BLUE BABY.
Born on third base, lost third straight game to great Michigan wolverines and going to hire third PI firm soon... Oh wait need help call uncle Lou Holtz.
Steve, I couldn't believe that you threw away $100 bucks, bro. Hail. Coach Sherrone Moore called an incredible game.
Best blooper ever 😂😂 GO BLUE!! 〽️〽️〽️
!! GO BLUE !!
Then if your so much better…then if you lose in the playoffs, then your season is a paper Wolverine! You have to win it all. Go Bucks 😎
It's cope pandemonium in Columbus. They can't handle it 😂
And you still can’t even win a playoff game. Keep coping 🤭
@@clearlycaribbeanreb2895enjoy the orange bowl.
@@clearlycaribbeanreb2895 may be not but we beat you and that's really all that matters 🤭🤗
@@jofi4580 Like this season and likely last year aren’t gonna be vacated anyway? Cheat harder 🤭
@@mgoboskiwe will, and the win won’t have to be vacated!
Pete Thamel must be in another country. Sooooooo Looooong.
ThE BiG TeN iS oUt To GeT uS!!! Genius take
Ryan Day leaving OSU would be a great decision for Michigan.
Let’s not forget the fact that in 2021 Steve said he had given up hope on Michigan and wasn’t going to watch the game. Fast forward 2 years later and this is where we are lol. It’s comical.
Ĝreat podcast.
A very entitled fan base
We don’t want Day fired. Michigan had to resort to cheating to beat him. Michigan will be exposed in the playoffs yet again.
Michigan had 3 penalties for 34 yards - all defensive, I believe.
One was the penalty after Rod's INT for removing a helmet... so 2 penalties that mattered!
@@VictorValiant24Good point!
And another was that ridiculous phantom one on Mason G.
@@AFS67good point. Who remembers the 3rd?
I played my College Football in Michigan
I won my Golden Gloves Boxing in Iowa
DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE Iowa
Go Blue!
You can tell the level of discipline at Michigan because right away the players were all looking toward the championship game. These guys are focused and you can see the relationship they have with one another and staff. Michigan is a well oiled machine hitting on all cylinders.
HAIL!
You are watching a pro level team ! No matter where you are at in the world
Everyone who voted for 2023 as their favorite win is suffering from recency bias.
@@NicklausMiller hey come on man, it was snowing 😂
If Michigan is the best team, then we shouldn't worry about who we go against. That makes us seem weak.
You know all 3 of these years are going to be vacated right? I'm guessing you don't care but it will be awkward in 4 years to win 1,000 games twice.
you don’t even believe that😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Where are those spoiled and entitled Ohio fans?
Working with their therapists 😂 the rabid ones anyway.
Thanks for leaving that in the intro 😂
Michigan has yet to play in the big game. They have merely qualified to play in their league championship. If they win then they will qualify for the CFP. There is some tough sledding ahead before Michigan can get into the big game.
Iowa, tough sledding? I don’t think so.
Osucks JR classmen were the number two recruiting class of 2021. Unlike 2021, there is no collection of talent in all of CFB too big for UM to run with.
@@gabeswitala2292
You may be right but that remains to be seen.
I usually skip the intro even tho it's great..... but after a Ohio State win.... I watched the whole thing like I never seen it before #GoBlue
Didn't Steve actually pick Ohio State to beat Michigan?
He’s always sticking his foot in his mouth cuz he even picked Penn St over UM? ?? Kan U believe that?
Im pausing at 24:01.
If Josh Perry has such a problem, and hes Been VERY VOCAL, HE NEEDS HUSH AND TAKE HIS ASS TO THE WOODY. otherwise this isnt you anymore and these new players dont need to hear it. They need to feel it.
Who's got it better than us nooooooobody!!!!!!!!!
