If Ryan Day loses he may have the remarkable distinction of becoming the only coach in D1A history to have the highest winning percentage of any coach over the past 5 years and still be on the hot seat. The UM/OSU rivalry is incredible.
Ohio state isn't losing this one anyway. You're about to see Michigan return to it's rightful loser status because it's no longer capable of CHEATING. Their previous 2 wins will also be vacated next year.
@@jamesmatheny9010agreed, Ohio state could lose by 3 touchdowns and he wouldn’t get fired, although I don’t think that’ll happen, he’s definitely not on the hot seat.
As a Georgia grad with friends from both Michigan and Ohio State in my local circle of life, I can't wait for the trash-talking by the winner when we all meet up post-Thanksgiving. Thank you to all my Michigan & OSU friends for the laughs and the snarky comments to each other. Love college football, the college towns, and all that college football is that the NFL isn't. I hope Flordia finds a way to become relevant again, so my hate for the Gators can renewed. 🙂
Great comment!! I am a lifetime Georgia fan and have lots of family and friends in all 3 states. It is crazy and hilarious this time of year!!! Go Dawgs!!
How was the trash talking after 2019 when OSU won their 8th in a row? I remember OSU fans almost declining to talk trash because UM fans were so beaten down and it was too easy. It wasn't a feeling sorry thing, more like a "my mere presence as an OSU fan is enough to make UM fans look sad, I don't need to talk trash"
If the NFL would get rid that Commissioner… they could possibly get back to 80’s and 90’s smash mouth ‘Interesting Big Time Football’ Paul John Tagliabue Was a great Commissioner.. looking in reverse…
Sucks that this will be the last Michigan & Ohio State will see of this magnitude. Because of the 12 team playoff it'll allow for the loser of this game to still have a shot at the national title if both teams are good. I know Ohio State made it to the playoff last year when they lost to Michigan but something like that happening isn't likely every year.
@@ufiveeight2011 I'm just a believer that in most cases the more you see something the more it losses its value. Do you think Christmas would have the same special feeling to it if it happened twice a year instead of only once? I don't
Really enjoy your commentaries on these college football games, Joel. You and Gus Johnson work well together. Loved your heartfelt comments to Jordan Travis.
Exactly, Maryland was last years Illinois, they struggle a little bit the week before going into the game and it didn't stop them from embarrassing OSU, this game is completely irrelevant it simply is gonna come down to who wants it more
@joel_klatt, I’m really glad I found your channel. Your analyses of teams, players, schemes and forward looks are the best I’ve found. And you present it all in a manner that is very enjoyable. Keep bringing this podcast for a long time please.
Joel you are a good dude. Just the words for Jordan Travis. Only someone who’s gone through some tough times would be able to say that without sounding cringey.
Hey Joel…OSU professor and lifelong Michigan fan here (yes, life is complicated). I think you make great points all around regarding The Game. One thing that I think people are overlooking is the common opponents and perception of OSU peaking at the right time. UM dominated MSU and Minnesota (both on the road). The point is that it’s easy to look good against those teams. OSU struggled against both PSU and Maryland (both at home), similarly to UM. Do you think if the schedules were flipped but game outcomes were exactly the same that the perception of peaking/confidence of the programs would be different heading into Nov. 25?
Yes, I made this exact point in a different comment. It’s a logical fallacy to say that OSU is hitting their stride and Michigan looks worse because the level of competition flipped. OSU simply beat (by smaller margins at home) the same teams that Michigan dominated earlier in the year and got made fun of for not playing anybody. Yet, OSU beats them by smaller margins and they are hitting their stride? Interesting. Michigan simply stepped up to the level of competition that OSU had earlier in the season, so of course they don’t look as good…and both games were on the road. The transitive property doesn’t apply and what happened previously doesn’t matter this week. Michigan needed a last second field goal to beat Illinois 19-17 last year and still beat OSU by 3 touchdowns on the road. OSU went to overtime with Maryland and barely won the week before the game in 2018 and then beat Michigan 62-39. In fact, 6 of the last 7 match ups, the team with the slimmest margin of victory the week before the Game, won.
Michigan struggled against Illinois last year but ended up beating OSU in Columbus (and that was with Corum getting injured). I think it's important to note those struggles against Maryland this past weekend, but I think Michigan has a good chance of winning on Saturday. Should be a great game though!
My impression of this CFP Committee is that they do not want two B1G teams or 2 SEC teams in the CFP's. Georgia/Bama and Michigan/Ohio St will have to win their conferences to get in.
I think that has to do more with how good the Pac-12 has been this year that you can't not let in Oregon or Washington whoever wins that game. Then there's the possibility of undefeated Florida State. But if, let's say, Arizona wins the Pac-12 and then Louisville wins the ACC, then yeah there will be two SEC or two Big 10 teams
@@suites.74 In my opinion the Pac12 isn't any better than past years. The two teams have a former B1G QB and SEC QB that will be familiar to the SEC and B1G Champs. FSU's going down w/o Travis.
I think that if OSU loses a close game on the road they will be the first pick of the 1 loss teams to make it in because the committee previously had them ranked #1
Good point about Washington winning at Oregon State. Problem with Washington is the same problem Ohio State had last year, their defense is not good. Your commentary of Florida State for the game against Louisville is spot on.
Jordan Travis is a REALLY good QB. And, while I don't know him, he seems like an even better man. I'm rooting hard for Jordan and agree there is going to be BIG things coming in his life.
I would like to point out that during the discussion about teams that could challenge georgia this year (29:55) that when alabama and ohio state had georgia on the ropes in previous seasons, a huge reason for their success in those games was the fact that they were able to overcome those teams because john metchie, jameson williams, and marvin harrison were all injured on the field. I’m not saying they played dirty intentionally or that they couldn’t have won with those guys on the field, but elite college receivers on balanced offenses have given georgia major issues and that fact was conveniently glossed over by klatt for the sake of his argument.
stover goes out in 1st half and harrison goes out in 2nd half. offense lost 2 of their main players, you bet they would have won if there were no injuries.
7 common opponents between Michigan and Ohio this year. Michigan PF 280, PA 76, Margin 204 Ohio PF 231, PA 61, Margin 170 Based purely on the scoreboard, which is kind of important, Michigan has clearly outplayed Ohio against the combined 7 common opponents. Will this be like 2018 again where Michigan looked better all year and then Ohio pounded Michigan or will Michigan go for 3 in a row this year?
Washington has now beat 4 AP ranked (at the time) teams this season, with one still ranked 6 in the country. I understand all the wins haven’t been sexy or anything but they just know how to win.
"at the time" destroys your whole argument. (we know you want to value that USC win but they are a BAD team, period) How many of them are CURRENTLY ranked?
@calvinhobbes6118 Oregon state and Oregon are still ranked, and usc still has the #1 or #2 pick in the next draft. Like I said they’re not all sexy wins, but they win.
Yeah and then Florida rolled OSU. It was straight hype. Very similar to this year. Big 10 is hyped up every year and made of cupcakes outside of the top 2-3.
@@coleshelton I know.. that would have been a great game if Ted Gin... the best college player ever .. didn't get his ankle twisted. They had to double team him. Completely different game. Even Urban Myer, Florida Head Coach, said that.
Ginn was a great player and definitely would’ve created problem. But there’s no way with Ohio State and Michigan being hyped the way they were for OSU to lose to Florida.
Michigan and Ohio State have played the same opponents on 6 occasions this year, and Michigan has beaten all teams worse than the team from ohio. Michigan played them early. Ohio played them late. That's the only difference, guys. Im excited about the game. GoBlue〽️
Good point. Unless you go back literally 2 days ago to the game that Michigan could have lost (but for a garbage grounding call) to a team that Ohio State absolutely crushed. But good try, homer. . .
@@calvinhobbes6118 Wow. Either you can't read or you can't count. The OP was clearly, and blatantly wrong with his "6 better wins" statement. Facts don't care about your learning disabilities. They're just facts.
Joel Klatt is a GOOD MAN (in addition to being an outstanding, cerebral football analyst). I'm NOT a "Florida State fan" -- yet deeply appreciated his comments on Jordan Travis.
@@DonovanEdwardsEnjoyernah I would say second or third. Missouri is definitely better than Penn st. They would give Michigan a run for their money. And I don’t think they could beat Ohio state although the game would be close.
I'm not stupid enough to argue with Joel Klatt! But I do remember Michigan's game last year against Illinois (the game before The Game) was no cake walk, either. Good teams win games, even when there is adversity, even when quarterback have bad days, even when injuries happen. They don't all have to be blowouts to be wins. At this point in the season, every game is a playoff game (you lose and you go home), and Michigan has won. Besides, in both of the last 2 years, the Bucks have been favoured. Let's see what happens on the field. Go Blue!
I saw it later in a different game as well. Looks like they are really looking at the tape and not just kicking the kids out of the game for an inadvertent hit to the head.
so happy to see trey healthy for the bucks. he's taken a lot of hate the last few years, mostly from his own fan base. all of which was unwarranted, unfair, and unsupportive. he's back and he's showing up!!!
A Michigan vs Ohio State National Championship game would be insane, if it ever happened. Honestly, just any great rivalry in a National Championship game would be fun.
With the Big ten getting big changes next year with USC and UCLA coming to the Big ten also we got Washington and Oregon coming to so the division are about to get rattled if not it's about to get put in the one big conference and the top two teams will play each other in the Big ten championship might even face off in the national championship
@@Adam-vs2in Been an avid fan since Bo days champ. I know the history. Like for example NO Ohio state team has won against a top 5 Michigan team in Ann arbor since 1975.
i think, Joel, you're doing what a lot of OSU fans are doing: overcompensating for that uneasy feeling you have about OSU going to Ann Arbor and playing this Michigan team. Ohio State looked really good against Minnesota. Sure, so did Michigan. Michigan doesn't look as good as they did earlier in the year. Sure, and everyone knew that their schedule was backloaded to beat the band, and that the pace they set early would not keep up. But-- and here's the thing that makes the Bucknuts so unsettled-- we're here. We're 11-0. We found a way to win at Penn State. We found a way to win at Maryland. That's all Michigan does: finds a way to win.
Are you forgetting Kyle literally winning the game against ND he hasn’t been challenged to win a game since then he was also in front of a sold out stadium in south bend
i think it depends on who else loses, because if they beat uga they’d have the same record, and bama would have the head to head. So they’d get above uga tbh, but it depends on who else loses
I was at the Texas game with my son cheering on the Cyclones. Everything Klatt said is true. Texas was impressive. Their defensive line is an absolute wall in the run game. Ewers made great throws on a very tough defense. ISU would’ve needed to be perfect to win that game because you need to against great teams. Texas definitely deserves credit for that win. As a lifelong Buckeye fan, it was actually cool to see Ewers play. I’m impressed with his maturity and confidence and happy for him finding the right fit for him as a player. I can’t wait for The Ga❌e!!!
I think this is just a competition comparison, Michigan hasn’t looked as good cause they have played better teams the past 2 weeks and both of them on the road without Harbaugh. Remember OSU played Maryland and PSU at home, that’s a huge advantage. Also the last 2 weeks OSU has literally played 2 of the worst teams in the Big Ten, of course they are gonna look good, any good team would, people forget that we went to Minnesota, beat the 52-10, went to Michigan State, won 49-0, so it’s not like Michigan struggled with these teams, we just played them a month ago, I bet you if we had played Minnesota in the Big House last Saturday we woulda won by 30+ points again
Michigan looked very good against Penn State, Maryland they got caught looking ahead after halftime. The team with the tougher closest game the week before the rivalry has gone onto win the last 6 outta 7
@@timleineke1997 people forgot that last year we struggled against Illinois the week before OSU, Maryland isn’t bad, if anything besides us and OSU they got the 3rd best offense in the Big Ten.
Michigan is deeper overall while Ohio State has better high-end talent. So whatever Ohio State needs to do to make McCord comfortable EARLY will be the key to the game for me. With Michigans depth, Ohio State needs a solid lead going into the fourth quarter. We saw what happened last year. And sure, Ohio States defense gets better as the game goes on (especially JT)….but that’s against inferior opponents who lack depth. As an example, Notre Dame’s offense controlled the second half against Ohio State’s defense. So yea, if McCord is on the same page with his incredible receivers early, while Treyveon helps sustain a few time-consuming drives in the middle quarters, Ohio State wins. If not, well, then who knows.
It's hard to do but you have to come to grips with the fact that McCord doesn't have "IT". JJ Mccarthy almost single handedly beat TCU last year because he has "IT". If Mccarthy plays the whole game without getting hurt Michigan wins. Screenshot this comment, if you want. But having "IT" is the difference in the game.
Your take in the middle is really important. OSU has not rotated d-line guys all year. Williams is playing like 90%+ of available defensive snaps and the ends are closer to 100%. Mike Hall and Hamilton share duties in the middle but I'm hearing Hall might be limited for this weekend. Although UMs offensive line isn't as good as they have been the last couple seasons that's still a recipe for disaster for OSU in this game. I'm expecting a beat your head against the wall type of game for UM and they'll probably start majorly pushing around that dline in the 2nd half.
Klatt- anything can happen but this is the best Michigan team of the lats 3 years playing the worst OSU offense of the past 3 years. OSU's defense may be better this year but it's the same guys as last year with a lot of injuries in the secondary. The only position group that is advantage to OSU is wide receiver. If OSU can't beat Michigan with a NFL rookie of the year QB, do you really think that McCord can get it done? I expect it to play out like the last 2 years. Close game in the first half, Michigan pulls away and wins by 2-4 TDs in 2nd half.
@@JPISME91 No, they broke specific NCAA rules. That is why they’re being investigated and Harbaugh is suspended. How is this a difficult concept for you people to get? Not every team has an insane assistant who pays a network of people to record games, dresses up in disguises, and leads the entire sideline including coaches in letting the defense know what play is about to happen. Just stop. Your team cheated and disrespected the game. The entire program and fanbase need to Grow up and take responsibility
Agree. Washington currently has the craziest strength of schedule so far If Washington can beat Washington St and Oregon can beat Oregon St. Then the pac12 champ game will be a play in game for the playoffs. Unless Alabama beats Georgia. Then who knows.
OSU “peaking” is literally them playing the soft teams of their schedule. They beat up on MSU and Minnesota at home. The same teams Michigan destroyed on the road.
@@19MarkDavid I have no idea why people compare games like this. Michigan “survives” Illinois last year by 2 points then beats the buckeyes at home by 3 scores It’s going to be a close game regardless of previous wins by either team (I think, at least), because of the nature of this game and both teams are elite this year. Looking forward to it!!
Joel, did you forget last year Michigan had to kick a field goal with nine seconds left to beat Illinois, Blake Corum was hurt Donovan Edwards had broken hand. JJ McCarthy had not thrown well all year.
I'd say The Game in 2006 was still bigger than this year will be. It was #1 vs #2, Bo Schembechler passed away just before the game, and the winner was not only B1G champ, but was also going to the BCS national championship game. Even though the world didn't revolve around national championships then like it does now, that was still a big deal. There was no conference champ game or playoff to worry about, the winner of that game (Ohio State) went straight into the BCS champ game.
The issue with the OSU/Xichigan game is that it's always unpredictable. The unpredictability factor has always made this game the most exciting football game in College football. I am definitely looking forward to the game. However, if OSU is to win, McCord has to bring his A game to Xichigan. He cannot play like he did in the first half of the Minnesota game. His focus has to be clear and determined! OSU has all the right tools to win big in Xichigan and beat Georgia in the National Title game.
No, osu doesn't have tools to beat Georgia. One wide receiver doesnt win a national championship game. You osu people are kidding yourselves if you think McCord is a good qb.
@@dirtymikesnow You sure do not have the brains God gave a goose if you read anywhere where I said McCord was a good QB. As a matter of fact I specifically mentioned “McCord needs to bring his A game…”. And yes, I still say that OSU has the tools to beat Georgia in a National title.
@@jamespurvin9933 Just as JJ will face an equally great defense that he and Corum will have to face. As I said, the unpredictability factor makes this game the best game in College football.
@mdhumphreys McCord's "A" game is NOT good enough. Cj Stroud had an "A" game, but he didn't have it last year. McCord doesn't have an "A" game. Looking good against Minnesota defense doesn't mean anything at all. And you know McCord won't play his absolute best game of his life, above and beyond, for 4 quarters in Ann Arbor.
@@gk9535 It should be a great battle. Whoever has the most rushing yards typically wins the game. I think it’ll be a ton of running from both sides at first
Yea I’m a Michigan fan as well and despise osu but if the officials got the targeting call correct and osu makes that kick then Georgia loses . Ohio picked apart Georgia all game lucky you don’t have to play them every year. But sheet I mean I’d be trembling if I ended my year off against the almighty Georgia tech
@@jordanmcmurtrie318 The long break before the playoffs is an equalizer. I’d figure a Michigan fan would know this considering they lost to almighty TCU.
How can you say OSU is peaking when they beat teams like Minnesota and MSU? Are those really teams we can compare them against? Michigan blows those same teams out on the road and the country is like "Meh". OSU does it at home and they are peaking? Nah.
Exactly!!! And….if you recall, Ohio State was losing to Maryland in the 3rd quarter, and up only 3 going into the 4th. They struggled, at home. They never opened up a 2-score lead against Penn State. They were losing to Rutgers 9-6 at half. They’re vulnerable. I can easily see McCord forcing balls to Harrison and getting picked off.
I’m a big Michigan fan and felt confident about this game until I saw JJ get hurt and play like a shell of himself the last 2 weeks. Without him at the top of his game Michigan will most likely lose. The Buckeyes are number one against the pass and it’s hard to see JJ being great or Donovan Edwards having another game even close to what he did last year. I’d be happily surprised if Michigan survives with a W, especially with their Coach out. Go Blue!
@@cliftonconnor9389 He had a minor ankle injury against PSU. Kinda limped around a bit. They totally deactivated him from the run game against Maryland.
OSU gives up the most plays per game in the top 10 defenses of any team other than Iowa, like 5 more plays per game than PSU, so I think UM will take advantage of that and have the ball over 35 minutes and just grind them down
I think too much is being made of the Maryland game. Maryland gives us fits ever since Gattis went there. Could be they know a lot of what we have in the playbook. This year was a carbon copy of last year literally the identical spread for both games. everyone was poo pooing UM last year and they went into Columbus and embarrassed OSU. What makes anyone think OSU can come into Ann Arbor and come up with any different result this year?
As a long time Buckeye fan, they said the same thing last year the game before against Illinois. JJ stunk in that game & then played well against the Buckeyes. It's gonna come down to can the O-!ine for Buckeyes handle the Michigan D-line. If Henderson has 100+ yards they'll win IMO.
Michigan fan here.. Our O-Line needs to show up. Ohio’s new defense is set up well to stop any big run plays, so they need to allow JJ time to pass. If that doesn’t happen, it’ll be a long game for Michigan. Our defense is solid, but it’s nearly impossible to actually fully stop Ohio.
UM rotates 10 DL and DEs. Osuck not so much. And you're not going to find a better 2 deep LB than Houseman. UMs depth will win the day defensively. On offense UM will be lining up 7 and 8 OL early and often. If Osuck doesn't match up by adding more DL and LBs they won't be able to stop that. If they do size up then their front seven into their 2 and 3 deep will be gassed by halftime. Too many of the same characters reaming for the outcome to be anything but the same. Depth will win the day for UM on defense and creativity and new sets never been seen or used before will carry the day for UMs offense. O$U will end up out coached again.
@@akaWillyDawgagreed. Our offensive line really has to come ready to play . They had had ups and downs all year. At times they have struggled to run block, now recently they are starting to struggle pass blocking . They have to be better as a unit. Not perfect but they gotta help JJ, Bc2, and the Don. 1 or 2 players on the line having terrible days could be all it takes to lose this game
Too many distractions on my Go Blue side and being without Jim on the sidelines will not help us win this year. Players are coming back for a repeat unless Michigan gets a playoff ban...I hate it. Feels rough on me as a fan can only imagine how these players really feel themselves.
Yea kind of deflating when you start to see JJ Rip it apart through the air and gain confidence and then lose his coach and take a hit that’s thrown him off vs pennstate. Hoping for the win but the interim coach is pretty meh
Last year, Michigan barely beat Illinois (Jake Moody walk off field goal) the week before playing BLohio. They lost Blake Corum to a knee injury and everyone thought they were going to lose down in Poolumbus. As we all know, Michigan TRUCKED the suckeyes. Using just the Maryland game this year to judge how they're going to play against BLohio next week seems rather foolish. Go Blue!
Shhhh. Bumeyes fans don’t like facts. Plus 2 years ago was the snow that only they had to play in and last year was their players were hurt with ruptured fallopian tubes. They’re a little sensitive lmao. Go Blue
idk how michigan fans can say u “trucked” osu u guys had a little momentum in the fourth snd took it from there dont forget we was in the game until the 4th. anyway every dog has there day youll be back to being a poverty program hope you enjoy these fee years
I’ll give you a list of four teams that can beat us. 1. Alabama. They can run the ball VERY well, and we’ve been susceptible to that. They also have the defensive backs to handle our receivers. 2. Ohio State. They’re starting to find their grove on the ground, and they still have a great receiving corps. The defense is also MUCH improved from a year ago. 3. Texas. When Ewers is on, there’s not a lot of guys better. The defense is the best in CFB at stopping the run in my opinion. That defensive line is terrific. 4. Oregon. Bo Nix is playing like a magician, and they have no weaknesses on offense. The defense, much like Ohio State’s, is a big step up from a year ago.
Great analysis on UGA and the 3 teams built to contend. Couldn't agree more. I think we have to get past Bama (tough) but OSU is the team we'd have to worry about in the playoffs. I think UGA would beat Michigan by 21 points.
Tua brother is actually a good qb but nobody talks bout it and he is the best and most experienced qb Michigan played all year. Our d-line and run defense won’t let Henderson get off like that either…24-17 Michigan in a defensive game
@@ml1754 The broadcast showed a stat which literally said Tua had the most TDs and most pass yards in the conference. Maybe that changed during the day? That said, Efficiency is Tuas weak spot.
Last year michigan needed a last minute FG to beat illinois the week before ohio. 2 years ago, ohio beat Michigan state 56-7 the week before, a team Michigan lost to. Not to mention ohio struggled just as much against maryland this year, and struggled against rutgers, ND, and penn state. But man, they looked good against Minnesota last week. Hahaha
OSU beat Maryland 37-17 and and dominated the 4th quarter and won easily Mich barley hung on for Victory. Rutgers was 35 -16 and you beat them 30 -7 with Stallions I believe. Mich fans in such denial . LOL
Maryland was last years Illinois, they struggle a little bit the week before going into the game and it didn't stop them from embarrassing OSU, this game is completely irrelevant its simply gonna come down to who wants it more
Illinois was a better team last year with a great D. Maryland is merely an average team with all the injuries they have and mistakes they made, yet they showed the warts Michigan actually has by making it a one score game.
It was a one score game til halfway through the 4th quarter. I love all the “embarrassed” talk. Yes you won, had a few quick scores that broke the game open then Ohio State gave up, but I was watching with Michigan fans and boy were they scared til then.
I'm an Ohio guy and want Ohio State to run the table, but I really like Joel Klatt's opinion on Washington here. I have been watching Penix since his time at Indiana, he's an extremely impressive QB. I say just let the games be played and if Washington wins out, he has to be the most deserving guy for the Heisman trophy. Go Bucks!
@@zDerezzed A win is a win is a win. Penix just had an incredible performance last weekend where he completed perfect passes in the rain during crunch time on the road against a very good, ranked team. @@dominicmesserly7489 Doesn't matter. Heisman requires consistency. Daniels and Nix have both been more consistent and have comparable/better numbers. Edit: No, a win is not a win in CFB. You must be new here.
going to be a great game. JJ was hurt (leg). If he's healthy, he will be a part of the run game. Also, UM did the same thing last year in the game prior to OSU. Nothing would surprise my with this game.

I bet BIG10 championship exacta Michigan beats Iowa in August for +950. Now I can drop a few Gs on OSU moneyline and still come out with good profit either way. Couldn’t believe the disrespect of Michigan not being east favorites preseason. Couldn’t believe Wisconsin being west favorites with a whole new scheme vs an Iowa team that only GAINED weapons-McNamara and All-who are now both injured, which is even better for my bet!
I think both these offenses will struggle. Michigans biggest problems last week were a mobile Quarterback. Michigan will need to get their hands up in passing lanes to stop quick passes, but Ohio States Offensive line is good but not great. McCord will be hit a lot. It isn't going to be a clean pocket. Your point on Michigan's offensive line is valid too. Michigan will struggle as well. I don't agree with you on Georgia. I think the SEC like the big ten is down a lot. Tennessee was massively over hyped last year and they were over hyped again. I think Alabma is playing the best ball and will defeat Georgia in the SEC Championship game. Which could leave the SEC out of the playoffs. The big ten winner will be in. The PAC 12 best conference in football Undefeated champion will be in. If FSU is undefeated they will be in. That leaves an Alabama or Texas. When Texas beat Alabama at home straight up. The SEC could be out all together.
You would like that wouldn’t you. There is no way they would leave out the SEC champion no matter what. Florida state is going to loose their conference championship anyway without their quarterback. So either a 1 lose Alabama or an undefeated Georgia is getting in no matter what. You should be more worried about 2 SEC teams getting in if Washington, Texas, and FSU looses. Because they are putting in a 1 loss Georgia in over Oregon, FSU, and whoever else has 1 loss.
@@Ace-mw9pm You drank too much SEC koolaid if you think Georgia after losing the SEC Championship game would get in over Alabama that will have just beaten them. At that point Texas would get in before either unless they lose. FSU like opponent with Alabama LSU. FSU defeated them by a larger margin of victory. If the SEC gets in it will be an undefeated Grorgia. I know it seems crazy but it surely wouldn't be the first time a conference played themselves out of the playoffs.
It’s just going to have to be a dog fight. Penn State and Maryland aren’t pushovers. Therefore, Michigan had to display resilience and now they have to bring everything they have to their next game.
Like Aidan Hutchinson (Wolverine) punting the ball from Justin Fields (buckeye) fumble/safety yesterday, Michigan is going to do the same thing on Saturday and Ryan Day will be fired on Sunday.
BS man. Peaking against Minnesota and Michigan state two cream puffs. OSU had a tough time with Rutgers. Michigan destroyed PSU on the road. Ohio State goes down by 10. Have they even scored 45 this year.
It’s really easy to peak against Rutgers, Michigan State, and Minnesota, teams that are collectively 8-16 against the Big10. Contrast that with Penn State and Maryland, who are collectively 9-7 against the Big10. See the difference?
OSU has scored more than 40 points twice this year and they're somehow going to do it this weekend, on the road, against the best defense they've faced yet? GTFOH.
@@nigelperry1686 Absolutely !! They couldn’t put up more than 27 with CJ Stroud and a far better O-line over the past two years. The media hype around Harrison and Henderson, Harry and Hendy, is OP as well. They’re great players, but Harry played against last year, got his yards, and was largely invisible in the 2nd half. Hendy played well, but not well enough, in ‘21. Regardless, the run game is always an afterthought with Ryan Day anyway. If he has to rely on it, no bueno por los Buckeyes. And again, it bears repeating, all that was with a far better O-line and CJ Stroud. As things stand, if Michigan can score 2 of their first 3 series down the field and get ahead 7-10 points, my guess is McCord unravels, throws a pick or two, and Michigan runs rock and clock and wins by a deceptively not that close 13-17 points.
@@DeshCanter I like the cut of your jib. I think Harrison and Henderson generate plenty of yardage between the 20s, but when the field shrinks that's when OSUs offense will start to struggle. Fully agree with your take - OSUs size in the middle of their dline and their dline snap counts do not bode well for them this game. They will not be able to have those guys going for 90%+ of the available snaps like they typically do and expect to hold up against UMs front. I don't think this will be like 2021 where UM was going for 8 yards per carry in the second half, but I'm fully expecting their front 7 to get worn out and start getting pushed around into the 3rd and through the 4th quarter.
Couldn’t even get College game day to come to Corvallis. That helped quiet that situation as well. The bias is still bs. Jumping Missouri last week like they did said it all. I would love to see some of these west coast teams line up against some of these anointed teams. After thirty years of watching this, it is getting tiresome. I’m ready for the whole thing to be ran like the NFL. With a commissioner, with an assigned schedule that actually forces SEC teams to have to leave the south to play elsewhere which doesn’t seem to be too common. Make everyone play each other. Everyone can say he'd be on the hot seat but he's not going anywhere regardless of what happens.

Go Dawgs and I pull for all SEC schools EXCEPT the Gators. 😆
If the NFL would get rid that Commissioner… they could possibly get back to 80’s and 90’s smash mouth ‘Interesting Big Time Football’

The trash talk is really one-sided.
One side talking trash.
The other simply stating facts that Mich cheated.
Sucks that this will be the last Michigan & Ohio State will see of this magnitude. Because of the 12 team playoff it'll allow for the loser of this game to still have a shot at the national title if both teams are good. 25?
i’m sorry… professor at osu and lifelong michigan football fan🤯. my brain is not braining rn🤯
Welcome to a normal schedule with players getting hurt and everything...imagine that!
Smart take
Yes, I made this exact point in a different comment.
OSU dominated Penn State bro what
The OSU/TTUN this year is kinda reminiscent of some of the games of the early to mid 70's.
So OSU hasn’t played anybody for several weeks, and yet they’re playing “excellent”? What’s with the inconsistency?
It’s all good. Ohio State is going to come out like they always do, cocky and unprepared. Michigan needs to kick their teeth in early and often.
Absolutely correct about Washington.
About time Washington jumps FSU. Washington should have been 4 when the first rankings came out.
Michigan struggled against Illinois last year but ended up beating OSU in Columbus (and that was with Corum getting injured). I think it's important to note those struggles against Maryland this past weekend, but I think Michigan has a good chance of winning on Saturday. Should be a great game though!
They don't know every play that OSU will be running this time.
For sure, the year before we lost to MSU and still beat OSU that year.
Look at how horrible those buckeye defenses were
@@StandStrong614Ohio said they changed their signs last year before the Game so Michigan didn't know their plays...how did that work out for them?
funny how having ALL the signals makes for an easy win. but i digress.
@@bt9704 Even if Bama beats UGA? Doubt it.
The number one takeaway is that they don’t like to move teams in the top 10. Poll inertia is very real with them.
With Harrison OSU would have beat Georgia last year, or if they had a serviceable special teams.

Ohio State looked really good against Minnesota. Sure, so did Michigan. Michigan doesn't look as good as they did earlier in the year. Sure, and everyone knew that their schedule was backloaded to beat the band, and that the pace they set early would not keep up. I was at the Texas game with my son cheering on the Cyclones. Everything Klatt said is true. Texas was impressive. Their defensive line is an absolute wall in the run game.

They'll still looooose. Henderson is not the whole team. Others must step up. MICHIGAN will still win.
He threw for 50% completion rate. That is not playing well.
Go Blue
Lets just hope JJ is close to 100% and that Roman Wilson returns as well as Ladarius Henderson, or we will have a hard time moving the ball.
idk how michigan fans can say u “trucked” osu u guys had a little momentum in the fourth snd took it from there dont forget we was in the game until the 4th. anyway every dog has there day youll be back to being a poverty program hope you enjoy these fee years
All I remember in the Illinois game was an obvious pick play on 4th down to give the Wolverines the victory
@@soulsurfer12123
6 TD’s: 3 Rushing, 3 Passing
Outscored you 28-3 in the 2nd half.
Absolutely TRUCKED.
Both teams have probable QB problems. Interesting. Probably coming down to ball protection, game and time management and average QB play.
dare i say that we think osu is looking good whe. they should because they played msu and minnesota at home. michigan demolished both of them away
Yes, Osu fans are reading the press clippings and the hype because they beat two bad teams.
Is this comparable to the 2006 game?
Alabama is going to beat you
What's the view on TX if they didn't beat a down Bama team? TX doesn't belong on the list
Michigan is going to beat you. I can't wait.
Apparently in the Washington vs Oregon St game it only rained on one team.
Great analysis on UGA and the 3 teams built to contend. Couldn't agree more. I think we have to get past Bama (tough) but OSU is the team we'd have to worry about in the playoffs. I think UGA would beat Michigan by 21 points.
Buckeye fan here and I agree with ya
@@Mikey12383 BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! You mean the same Michigan that has beaten Ohio by 3 scores the last 2 times weve played?
@@calvinhobbes6118 The same Michigan that the high school team TCU beat? Yes, that one.
Tua brother is actually a good qb but nobody talks bout it and he is the best and most experienced qb Michigan played all year. Our d-line and run defense won’t let Henderson get off like that either…24-17 Michigan in a defensive game
Kyle has better numbers by the way....except maybe efficiency.
LOL
@@samwalsh2494 mich didn't dominate the 4th qtr?. They held Maryland to -6 yards and 0 pts with 3 sacks, an int, and a safety.
Everyone thought Michigan was in trouble last year after Michigan struggled against Illinois and lost Blake Corum to injury.
Don’t forget the “cheat” advantage last year
@@hunterburkosu knew our signs last year too buddy 🤭
@@docrob2236 45-23 is an embarrassment regardless of the circumstances especially when you were favored
Joel, what about letting Mikey play both O&D,mostly defense but sprinkle him in ona couple of pass plays
Go Bucks!
Under no circumstances should Penix be seriously considered for the Heisman. That Arizona State game sunk the ship, absolutely awful game for him.
@@zDerezzed A win is a win is a win. Penix just had an incredible performance last weekend where he completed perfect passes in the rain during crunch time on the road against a very good, ranked team. If he wins out, he will have had to beat a great Oregon team twice, many ranked teams and an in-state rival. I say no one will have a better resume than that.
@@dominicmesserly7489 Doesn't matter. Heisman requires consistency. Daniels and Nix have both been more consistent and have comparable/better numbers.
Edit: No, a win is not a win in CFB. You must be new here.

You really think Michigan will play osu with the same energy they played Maryland? Lol yeah right
Joel, you're a goat to college football
Michigan looked beatable
UM struggled with Maryland last year and almost lost the game before OSU… They’ll be fine.
@@bv7441 they don’t know the signals this year
@@DarthDividend - OSU changed them before last year AND knew UMs signals and UM still smoked them by 3+ TDs clown.
FOH
@@bv7441 we will see what the NCAA says. Your head coach accepted a suspension because they know they are guilty
@@DarthDividend - Man, that’s a nice looking tinfoil hat you have on!
Did GA’s DBs improve? Marvin Harrison smoked them last year prior to the injury
going to be a great game. JJ was hurt (leg). If he's healthy, he will be a part of the run game. Also, UM did the same thing last year in the game prior to OSU. Nothing would surprise my with this game.
Klatt, the offense is now much healthier, and so is the now healthier elite defense!!! Love the analysis! Go Bucks?!! Tatum... We're coming to your house to make a statement?!! ✨💥⚡️💥💥
“Every factor was against Michigan.” They won.
@@charlesronk2989I want to agree with you I’m tired of the SEC but I do think Georgia loses to bama and it ends up allowing both in the playoff
Joel are you calling the game on Saturday?
Go Blue!!!
It’s just going to have to be a dog fight. Penn State and Maryland aren’t pushovers. Therefore, Michigan had to display resilience and now they have to bring everything they have to their next game.
Tua is the best QB UM faces all season long.
Like Aidan Hutchinson (Wolverine) punting the ball from Justin Fields (buckeye) fumble/safety yesterday, Michigan is going to do the same thing on Saturday and Ryan Day will be fired on Sunday.
Yea but if they gets fired don’t they they won’t make that call to Urban. And you know what urban used to do with Michigan.
We know what Urban does to A LOT of people lmao. Hide your wives.

Do you think the OSU strategy of forcing offenses to be patient is going to work against UM, who was just willing to rush 32 times in a row?
We’re hungry Beat Ohio state 💙💛💙💛
I thought the Hampton ad was actually about Conor Stalions
Michigan Fan here. Ohio St. 45 - Michigan 20 . Too many injuries/ distractions. One team peaking other regressing
GTFOH.
@@nigelperry1686
Absolutely !!
I don't think this will be like 2021 where UM was going for 8 yards per carry in the second half, but I'm fully expecting their front 7 to get worn out and start getting pushed around into the 3rd and through the 4th quarter.
don't forget to tell us about the cowboy fight in montana
Hard to "look like yourself " when you don't have the answers to the test anymore
Easy to “play your best football” against Rutgers, Michigan State, and Minnesota…..lol.
You guys are so pathetic.
My boss is from Montana. I always say “well normally that would be difficult but your from Montana so it’s just another Sunday drive for you”. Lol He never says anything. Quiet tough.
