Humbled buckeye here... good game Michigan, idk how you’ve all felt this way year after year and not pulled all your hair out. Good luck going forward, you were the better team this past Saturday.
Hopefully the new rival begins.
Props to you being a good ambassador for your University.
I completely agree, BUT YOU CANNOT SAY THERE NAME, IT’S THE TEAM UP NORTH NOT THE OTHER THING

Michigan football needs to continue to recruit strong offensive linemen!
🎯
Talking about 6feet 7 nches monster or 6 feet 8 inches monster
They already have 2 monster freshmen that will be out there soon. 6’6” and 6’8” Four Star OLs and they have 2 more commitments that big as well.
Their OL is going to be strong for years to come.
The O-Line is so critical; without a good line there's no star QB or RB. Hopefully U of M can continue to recruit and develop them. Also do it with the D-Line too please! With Hutch and Ojabo leaving the D-Line is going to be a very new and young unit.
@@Jon.A.Scholt I heard a while back they went like 2 or 3 seasons without recruiting a single DT. Not one. They only have two in this years class at the moment. So they better get to work and get to the portal or flips.
They have a lot of work to do on the Dline after this season because they’ll easily be pushed around with a young unit up front like osu did.
I was at the game and it was magical.... About 20 minutes before game time the wind shifted directions and the temperature dropped about 5° and then it started to snow... That's what I knew Michigan was going to win this one it was our time...
As a buckeye fan.....disappointed. ....but smiled for michigamteam and fans. Hope you win it all for the big ten!
I happy winning big ten football champion 🏆 2021;; it take more than x& 0 magic;; national college football champion 🏆
No one can underestimate the impact the new coaches have had on this team. McDonald, Hart and Bellamy come to mind with what they've done. Hart has a bright future in coaching. He's been outstanding at western and Indiana in the RB room. McDonald has done wonders with the defense, took the predictability and risk out of the Brown scheme. The players definitely deserve the respect for what they've done but the assistant coaches deserve that recognition too
This game had the big ten title game on the line for both teams...the college playoffs on the line, for both teams, the national championship on the line for both teams, and oh by the way, the biggest rivalry in all of sports in America...... And Michigan won it!! Dominant!!! I have been a Michigan fan since around 1985, and this is the proudest I have ever been for a group of kids!! This is the best and most complete game I have seen them play, in a very long time!!! I don't ever remember feeling the emotions I felt on Saturday for any game I have ever seen in my life!! GO BLUE!!
I would have to say I had the same emotional reaction when UM won the 1997 Rose Bowl. But I agree that they played a fantastic game last Saturday. Near perfect in all phases.
💙💛GO BLUE!!💙💛
I’m giddy as an schoolgirl that UM beat OSU. But I feel that Iowa is getting disrespected here. Michigan has to treat this as an game as important as beating Ohio. Iowa was ranked 2 at one point this year.
Absolutely right; if they don't play Iowa like they did OSU, they will lose. OSU will never let them hear the end of it.
You are absolutely right MICHIGAN HAS TO TAKE CARE OF BUSSINES CAN'T TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL.
Yes sir!
@@kingdomthinker9794 Iowa's defense ranked 129th overall
I don’t think they’re getting disrespected. From what I’ve read most Michigan fans are concerned about Saturday. They aren’t going to be easy.
No diesrespect against any other B1G teams, but it just hasn't been the same without a strong UM.
I’m a big UM fan but I’ll give Wisconsin/Iowa some credit, sometimes they make that strong push and elevate the B1G as well. Michigan is just bigger on national stage if you wanna be honest
Is that BAD? Most of the Big Ten HATED the days when the only question was OSU or UM? And I am not convinced of their strength - no more than I was of my Spartans when they beat UM. Frankly, I suspect that OSU would represent us better going forward. Nothing against UM, but like us, they won a big game at home. In an ideal world, EVERY Big 10 team would be championship material - but since that won't ever happen, why should it be THESE two?
@ Pat Doyle: Exactly. What the media wants and what the actual fans want are often very different. That being said, I wish UM the best going forward. We will have to see where Harbaugh takes the team in the years ahead.
@@pdoylemi Michigan is a fumble touchdown away from being 12-0

It’s meaningful for me who didn’t even go to Michigan but grew up in the Detroit area and have been a fan since childhood but have only seen them beat Ohio a handful of times up to this point. It’s hard to fathom that’s it’s been a decade since they last beat them.
Kinda like the Cooper days when michigan beat Ohio state all the time lol
I don't mean to put the cart before the horse-Iowa is always a tough opponent-but why is nobody talking about Michigan being the only team that looks like they can beat Georgia? If they bring it like they did against OSU, they have a very good shot at being national champs!!
Rock I agree !! I not looking past Iowa, because Iowa always plays us tough... But if we play like we did on Saturday, we can beat anyone!!! We can do this!! We have a real shot.... This is what we have been complaining about! Well , its here!!! Lets go!
The question is can Michigan play that tough three games in a row? They have not done that this year nor in recent years.
@@dananderson3033 Right. What they have done this year is minimized mistakes. The one game they make a lot, they lost. Otherwise, the men in the trenches do work, Haskins carries the rock, and McNamara does what is asked. Michigan's line on both sides just really matches up well with Georgia.
Because getting over OSU was such big hill (and measuring stick) to climb.
I personally feel like they have the best shot of the playoff projections right now. Of course we have to see what happens in the SEC champ. game, but if things go status quo, Michigan @ number 2 is correct, and the No1 team playing the No2 teams is fairly normal. But everyone knows, even without saying is that the difference between the #1 team and the #2 team is really Any Given Saturday until the game is done.
First, Michigan isn’t in the playoffs yet. 2nd, Alabama could beat UGA. Both are great teams.
Don't overlook Iowa a very good football team and have a very good coach and program much respect for Iowa they are no joke tough team!
And they've made it a habit to ruin someone's season.
Michigan winning is good for the sport. Coach Harbaugh giving back his bonus to the athletic department to make up for lower pay due to COVID-19 shows incredible character and devotion to UM.
That’s the sort of thing that makes a fan like myself truly proud of our university and our coach. He knows what’s important and has great perspective. Go blue!
This trip does an excellent job framing just how big this win was. Ohio State got totally outplayed in every way imaginable. They got humbled and laid to waste.
So laid to waste that OSU was within 8 points with 4 minutes remaining?

Great panel discussion. Nicole killed it. Great insight by everyone.
Excellent analysis and spot on insight. Great panel. Howard Griffin is a Big 10 football encyclopedia.
Michigan is playing as a team rather than as a team with a few players with good stats. Iowa was rated #2 in order to make the B1G look like a tougher conference than it has been for a while now.
Great analysis. Totally nailed it.
Bringing in Mike Hart, MacDonald and other assistants changed the culture of this team.
That sure did it, Mike Hart came in to Michigan with Indiana a year prior and coached his running backs passionately that Harbough had to hire him for the next season. GO BLUE!! Mike MacDonald has done a phenomenal job to get for the defense

Liked the shade Nicole threw out saying this was a game that didn't need to come down to a spot.
We Michigan fans are still celebrating this win, but I'll betcha the team has been preparing since Sunday morning for Indy.
We got the right nucleus of coaches and players
Maybe. But it only took a 2nd season for Dantonio to take Michigan to the woodshed, Mel is 2 and 0 against them. Harbaugh needed SIX years to get a win against OSU and only had a couple against MSU. Coaching at UM or OSU is easier than at other schools - they get four and five star recruits like George Clooney gets women. If Dantonio took six years to beat UM, but did fairly well otherwise, I would have considered him OK to good. But he dominated that series for a decade. Mel came to a program definitely backsliding, and won his first two games against you, when on paper that appeared impossible.
Nothing against the players - you have some GREAT ones (when don't you?) but I am not impressed by the coaches. And this comes from a guy who thought that when Harbaugh was hired, times were very quickly get very tough for us.... and mostly did not. If he had not won a Rose Bowl for Michigan, he would have been fired long ago.
Who knows? In ten years maybe I will be eating my words, but I am not impressed by one good season capped by one good home game.

One thing in UM favor is that if UGA beats Bama there will be no team in playoffs with playoff experience except for Georgia they’ve been there once in 2017 but probably not many players on the team that was on that 2017 team so they’ll probably be pretty inexperienced in the playoffs everybody else in it will never have been there so they don’t have to worry about going up against a team that has the experience of playing in the college football playoffs and that does help them everybody will be on even playing ground as far as experience in those games.
Simple, they were a better coached team that could execute. Ohio State was not able to cheat like they usually do, especially like OSU did in 2016
??? How can someone 5 years later still think he didn’t get the first down? 😂
Tyler G is solid. But it’s not all on the line. He has absolutely missed some massive holes. Also, he just doesn’t have the high end speed you need being a back that size.
panel just noted that Michigan had only 8 3rd downs the whole game. I think I heard on xm radio espn u this morning that there were none in the second half. Can that be correct? No 3rd downs in the second half? Seems impossible. Especially in a game like this that included four touchdown drives of more that 50 yards each in the second half.....
That is Michigan only. Their 4 touchdown drives in 2nd half.
Michigan had zero 3rd downs in the 2nd half.

Dominance in this rivalry is cyclical. Michigan has gone on their runs and so has Ohio (obviously of late). Can't/won't last forever. Hopefully this turns the tide. Not meaning Michigan dominance, but a great rivalry again. Go blue.
Historically, osu has been very poor sports. From the 1960s and turning off the water in the Wolverine hotel year after year on the morning of the game to forcing Michigan to play in practice gear due to "security" issues after 9/11 to stepping on jerseys and ripping off a helmet this year, osu are mean spirited and the.epitomy of poor sportsmanship. Let’s not forget OSU tearing down the M banner when they entered the stadium in 1973 (yeah I’m old). They tried it again in 1977 but Michigan decided to defend the banner that year and punches were thrown, even by Woody Hayes. Speaking of Woody, he was the king of bad sports. Ripping up yard markers and generally throwing tantrums. And let’s not forget him punching the Clemson player in a bowl game after the Clemson player intercepted a pass.
Jimmy has no class. Taking a cheap shot at Ryan Day at a press conference. Your halo is crooked UM.

Ohio State lost the Michigan game when Ryan Day used the Urban Meyer method of hiring friends and family for assistant coaches and made Kerry Combs DC. Why recruit 5-star players and use 2-star coaches? Under Ryan Day, no defensive player he has signed has been named first-team All-Big Ten.
I know you guys have a time slot to fill, and I respect your opinions. But I don't buy all that stuff about Harbaugh's adjustments making the difference. Michigan has had some very good teams under Harbaugh, some on par if not better than this team. There is no situation where Notre Dame should ever be in the playoff, especially over Cincinnati even if the Bearcats lose against #16 Houston.
Cincy beat them head to head soundly in South Bend. With each having one loss, head to head should be the #1 tiebreaker.
People talk about ND's supposed "strength of schedule" but they have one win against a ranked team in Wisconsin who won't be ranked after the loss to Minnesota. Only three of their wins have come against teams with winning records, Purdue, Wisconsin, and Toledo.... and Toledo is a 7-5 MAC school that they barely beat by 3.
How did Michigan dominate OSU? A the OSU went into the game with lost of problems on their offensive lines. Not necessarily in blocking but with penalties. This has been a problem that concerned me going into the game as an OSU fan and my concerns came true. OSU was constantly playing behind the chains. Constantly trying to pick up third and long. Michigan was always in second and short and third and short. OSU was constantly looking at a long field.
The OSU defenses came a long way since the Oregon game but was still suspect. The Michigan O-line dominated the Buckeye's defense. But the defensive issues we knew going into the game. It was always believed that the OSU offense could outscore their defensive liabilities and if they got a two score lead they can force the Michigan offense to get away from what it's strong at. With OSU never getting a lead that put pressure on the Michigan offense it allowed Michigan to stay with their strength.

Michigan is on par with osu and we have the better talent this year
We have better coaching
First off I want to give props to Michigan for the dominant win over my Bucks. Great effort and win no doubt. On that note though I just have to say that one win doesn’t define a turnaround from the last 10 years of dominance by OSU. I truly believe the stars aligned for Michigan this year and they pulled out the win. Good for them but you can’t tell me that now the rivalry is back. I can go several different ways with what OSU did right and wrong with this team that lead to this outcome, but I would be here all day writing. Bottom line if Michigan can win The Game the next two to three years in the fashion they did on Saturday I’ll worry but right now I’ll wait and see if Jim can hold the line the next few years before I buy that this is a rivalry again.
