Such a wonderful gospel group!! My grandmother use to sing with a group called the gospel stars out of Oxnard California. And the soul stirrers would come once a year and would have the church house rockin. As my grandmother has passed today I wanted to remember her and soul stirrers were one of her favorite groups.. I am so sorry for your loss as well. God bless
I remember being a musician myself performing on quite a few of the same shows with these guys down in Wilson NC at the Reid St. Community Center. The drummer for them at the time was none other than a good friend of mine Glenn Applewhite. These guys were all great guys to know and to perform with. I have always loved their music.

Hi , I'm a SOUL STIRRERS Fan , & my " The Best Of The Soul Stirrers " record album , was one of my favorite albums , that melted onto the turntable , about 40 years ago . I've been looking to get another copy , but can't find one . Anyone know if this album , was ever put on cd , or , where I can get an Inexpensive copy , ( record , cd , or cassette in good shape ) somewhere ? @iusecameras is your dad thr bass player still living ? he was a great musician got his recordings he came to wilson nc with the crume brothers he blew it out..he is a short man but on a bass he stands very tall so let me know
