As a child of Apollo I love the look of our cabin, in the first teaser you can see it has a massive sun and lyre on the roof and the roof itself looks like a bow so it’s kinda perfect 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I don’t think they’re gonna add stuff to the quest. So I think Hermes is just gonna be in some type of flashback instead of being officially introduced early. I agree that the one scene is of Hades
You see that's the thing with turning a book into a live action series. Some things do not translate well to actual real life performance so you have to change it up. I imagine that the show will still have the same plot and story beats as the book does but some things will go differently. Really sucks that we're only getting Lance as Zeus for one season but changing up the Gods is extremely easy to explain as they can take whatever form they want. It'll be interesting how they do Aphrodite because her appearance varies depending on the person.
@@puterboy2 The actor's family didn't want to change his hair. It's perfectly understandable and so long as the story stays fine, it's okay. Plus Walker is great at sass and Rick has been clear from the start it won't be 100% visually accurate due to open casting.
8:30 that is most definately Hades, it looks like Jay Duplass to me! Also at 11:45 I would hazard to say that is a spirit in the fields of asphodel as the trio is making their way to Hades' palace.
If they don’t show Luke, that’s fine. Like someone said, it’s a good misdirection for first timers. With all the crap Leah has dealt with, it might be a good idea to not have her talk until the official trailer 🤷♂️
I don’t think they are showing Luke because in the first book luke is just another camper who helps Percy adjust to camp and has no real impact to the quest he goes on until right at the end of the book where his betrayl happens and I think they want to keep that same theme of you don’t know he is the bad guy until the very end so everyone who hasn’t read the books or seen the movies is shocked and like omg I never saw that coming yk!!
One scene that had me gagged was Percy crying in front of the mirror and it kills me, walker looks so sad and devastated I think the acting in this is going to be amazing. I think it’s when Percy comes home from yancy academy and gabe takes his money so he leaves the room and cries before sally comes home
Wait, why is there a debate if it's Hermes or Hades? Tbh I can't even see Hermes in that scene, the background being all dark + Persephone's throne, I definitely agree that's Hades. Also for Luke, I guess it's for the people who don't know the story yet they might not want to hint towards a normal camper being someone special.
with the necklace, he didn't get his own until he got back from the quest, but he did have Annabeth's right before the fight with Ares. i'm so excited tho! oh my gosh!!!
I think there is an Annabeth line. I thought it was Annabeth talking towards the end of the trailer when a voice says “remember what I taught you” but I could be wrong lol
They changed some minor stuff, but I don't really mind it Like, Dodds attacking percy jackson in broadlight instead of attacking him in the room, or percy using riptide to kill the minotaur instead of using its horn
Agree that it is Hades - with the tiny Persephone throne 😄 also in the shot with Luke (Charlie) you can see what many fans theorise is Chris Rodriguez (Andrew Alvarez) behind him! I think those creepy people might be underworld souls or something? since they don't look like people to be statues.
Yeah if they don't show Luke in the official full length trailer then something is definitely up , maybe they are hiding him because he's gonna be a huge part of the story so they wanna avoid spoilers I'm not sure but show our homie Luke Disney ! lol
that shot with the misty trees and the tall wrapped figure I am like 80% sure is the field of asphodel, because in the book it's described as dark and misty, with black poplar trees, and crowded with the dead, which is pretty heavily conveyed there imo
Fun fact: in The Sun and the Star audiobook they say per"K"abeth instead of per"S"abeth, so.... I take that as an indication for the right way to say it and nobody can change my mind. (Chapter 7, around 16:40 for those who might wanna know [around 11h 23mins left overall])
Personally when I saw the shot at 11:54, I assumed it was the Oracle because it looks like a mummy to me. I just feel like the lighting is different from the shots of Aunty Em's
It’s weird if that is Hades (though I do think that is absolutely him) because the underworld shouldn’t have that much background light. For me, Hades’s throne room looked way smaller and not as jagged looking and definitely more enclosed. To me, that looks like jagged cliffs or maybe a giant cave rather than a palace.
i think them not showing luke too much is the perfect misdirect for first timers to the series
I noticed that Percy was taking down notes in front of a statue of Perseus (his namesake). You can tell because he's holding Medusa's head.
Yes!!! Great eye!

That makes me so happy!!!!
you convinced me with hermes appearing in lotus casino, it does make sense considering the photos from the set

Maybe we oughta change his name from Percy Jackson to Will Solace.

i dont think he was crying. i think he was splashing water on his face
@@inespinto1145yeah his face is definitely splashed with water. It's dripping from more places then his eyes.
Im really excited to see charlie's performance of luke, and later on his potrayal of Kronos that'll be awesome
I’m SOO excited to see him

Just a thought In 11:39 that could be a shade, a lost soul in the underworld who can't pay for a ride across the river Styx.

I think that’s Sally!
I'd bet they're saving one of the saga's biggest villains (Luke) and the master bolt for the official trailer.
Ugh that makes sense but I still just want to see him😫

Walker is adorable the perfect choice he has such a soothing voice (:
4:47 that is probably the artemis cabin given that there are the phases of the moon above the door
The official pjo show instagram account I think actually confirmed that it was Hades in that shot on the accounts story 8:41
they did!
Yes! I filmed this about two hours after the trailer dropped so this was before they confirmed anything
The part at 11:42, i think it vould be Persephone's garden, and those are the statues she got from Auntie M's
Exactly 3 months!
that shot with the misty trees and the tall wrapped figure I am like 80% sure is the field of asphodel, because in the book it's described as dark and misty, with black poplar trees, and crowded with the dead, which is pretty heavily conveyed there imo
Ugh they absolutely KILLED IT with this trailer !! I can’t wait for the show to come out !
4:50 the direction sign for athena's cabin is pointing in the direction opposite to that cabin tho
That is hades! They said it on the percy series!
Yes I know, thankfully! I filmed this before they posted confirming it

11:38. These mummy-like creatures are most likely the souls of the dead in the Asphodel Meadows in Erebos.
personally i thought it was the Oracle in the attic since the Oracle is a mummy before Rachel
@@Hello-iy1rh The oracle of Delphi at the camp is only one though; in that scene there are multiple mummies.
I want December to come already 😣
Yes, that's Ares cabin
Im dying to watch it!!!
That scene that people are debating over is definitely of Hades, you can even see Persephone standing off to the left, half-hidden in the shadows.
I agree it’s hades but I don’t think Persephone is in the underworld at this time because it’s summer! She only goes to the underworld during winter
I’m assuming he’ll get that familiar tug in his gut after the fall from the arch and make a sort of water tunnel to help him get to the water
Personally when I saw the shot at 11:54, I assumed it was the Oracle because it looks like a mummy to me. I just feel like the lighting is different from the shots of Aunty Em's
Oooo that’s a good idea! I just don’t think Annabeth sees the oracle in the first book
I think it’s hades
Maybe Hermes flies Percy to above the water?? Makes no sense but idk
I think that one scene is too light to be the underworld
Wasn't it Hermes who came pick up Nico and Bianca from the lotus casino? If so, it makes sense that we see him there....
It was Alecto who came pick up Nico and Bianca from the casinò.
perKabeth truther!
I love that RUclips attempted to add a translation to this lmfao
It’s weird if that is Hades (though I do think that is absolutely him) because the underworld shouldn’t have that much background light. Hades was terrifying in the books so I hope they do him justice
New vid yay
Great vid
I bet they’re hiding Luke so that people who haven’t read the books will be emotionally destroyed by his betrayal
Serious question, but am I the only one who for YEARS associated the Riptide song with Percy Jackson?
