  • Outlook now allows you to create a poll in an email quickly. This works with in conjunction with Microsoft Forms, and you do NOT have to go to Forms to use this feature. You create your poll directly in the Outlook email. It is called a Quick Poll. This is a great new feature for Microsoft 365 subscribers (formerly Office 365). I've been wanting this feature for years.
    Voting Buttons
    Outlook has allowed you to use "Voting Buttons," but users frequently get confused about how to create voting buttons, and then the recipient gets confused about clicking the voting option.
    Here is a screenshot of Voting buttons. drive.google.com/file/d/1E5Qy...

    Here are the steps for creating a poll in an email:
    1. Click the New Message button on the Home tab.
    2. On the Insert tab, click the Poll button.
    3. Create your poll by filling out the Quick Poll form.

    This feature is currently available for users running Insider builds on Windows.
    Windows: Version 2004 Build 12730.20000 or later.
    Requires a Microsoft 365 subscription.
    This feature is not available for Office 2019 or 2016.

    Hei, many thanks for this video. I wonder if it's possible for people outside my organization to see the poll the same way as in your example. I've test it with gmail (sent an email from outlook) and it sends an link instead the poll. This is what i want to avoid in order to raise the rate of responses.. thank you!

      Carmen, according to Microsoft support, people outside your organization will only see the link.

    Is MS going to add priority matrix or conditional features to polling or is there a separate survey app that does this for Outlook?

      Marguerite, MS Forms does branching. I have a video on setting up branching in Forms.

      After you make a new mail message, are you clicking in the body of the email? Screen shot I made. drive.google.com/file/d/189g9raB_9ueDArrqPH0cQUVEyL7cYww_/view?usp=drivesdk

    Is there a way to move the poll/questions to the bottom of the email? Looking to write an email and at the bottom have the poll, not right at the top.

      Jaime, you can select it and drag and drop it to the bottom. See screenshot drive.google.com/file/d/1J339niXFldt0WjsDWVPJUrmGu_P-NvGP/view?usp=drivesdk

      @@ChrisMenardTraining omg I was wondering the same question! but it seems like the although that statement can be moved to the bottom, when you click send, the recipients still will see the poll at the very top of the email. :/ Any suggestions?

    Can more than one question be added to the poll?

    • @ChrisMenardTraining
      @ChrisMenardTraining  3 года назад

      just one question the way I did it. You can create a poll in Forms and have as many questions as your want and then put that survey or poll in an Outlook email. It will be a link.

    How do you add several questions

    • @ChrisMenardTraining
      @ChrisMenardTraining  3 года назад

      Limited to one the way I did it with this new feature. You can still do as many questions as your want in MS Forms and put the link in Outlook.
