      Exactly this. Somebody who ran the ball every play and mixed in RPOs and glitchy option plays ruined my 34 winstreak, and funny enough he couldn’t stop me on offense. But I couldn’t do anything to stop his glitch run scheme (even while run committing with 7 blitzers) so he ended up chewing clock and kicking a game winning field goal.

    • @alexpaz8661
      @alexpaz8661 11 месяцев назад +1

      A whole lotta truth here. That "better player" thing is really subjective when you take into account there is a whole segment of the online community who thinks glitching and finding flaws in the game is acceptable. For those of you that play regs....I've found that if you yourself just choose a team that is not one of the consensus top 8-9 online teams and limit yourself to also just playing people using teams outside those 4-5 cheesy teams......the online experience gets a lot better. The morons tend to use those top teams. I've been having some really good games lately since I started using this criteria .

    @6:00 something I admire about Greg Romans run designs is that he leaves corners or backside safeties with no chance of making a tackle unblocked. Theoretically it would always account for every other player

      Greg Roman is a genius of the power run game. I’d love to see him come back as an OC bc I think he’s good for the overall sport (same reason I want Kingsbury back somehow as an OC)

      @@kevinstucki8644 it has its limits but it also never had good receiver, the best one was Hollywood Brown, who’s is a good 2 as the best WR on the team. He’s an abysmal #1

      @@kghostthegreat hollywood left bc of the scheme. They had Likely for two years and he's now blowing up? Coincidence. I think not. Look at his track record. Performance of Roman's scheme falls off each year after the first. I wanted him gone after the 2019 debacle. Now look how that offense is flying with proper balance and scheme. Roman cannot scheme the pass game. Would always have 3 WRs in the same space lol.

    • @XandoFootball
      @XandoFootball  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the love. It really varies with what you like to do. One book may feel like trash to another who thinks it is gold. Being that I'm a spread type guy, certain books are more appealing than others. It really depends on your style. Some people don't even know their style . . . I think learning football concepts, and they gravitating to what you like will help in the long run to figuring out your style of play and what books you'd like.

    Xando....awesome video as always. Easily my favorite YT channel at this point. I wanted to get one clairification from you on the "cop check". When you are usering the TE with the safety....do you stay with him if he crosses the formation back towards the trips (like a drag) or do you let him go and act as a deep post control on the original side you were aligned?

  • @wheeler116
    @wheeler116 11 месяцев назад +1

    I’m not sure if turning the middle saftey into a deep half like you suggested around 38:00 would be wise. Seems like a good way to turn a concept like yankee(which is already a cover 3 beater) into possibly a one play touchdown, cause who would be in the window to stop the post?

  • @wheeler116

    Are there disadvantages in madden of bringing safteys down like you did on that one play when you’re in quarters or cover 3 and they’re playing off/bail? Only thing i can think of off the top is you’re more susceptible to getting beat over the top with something like mills concept where you have to pump fake to hold safteys.

    • @XandoFootball
      @XandoFootball  11 месяцев назад +1

      Theoretically, I would think play action would be a problem too. Nothing worse than putting a 3rd level defender in a run pass conflict. But Madden is a different story.

    • @garrettera1020
      @garrettera1020 11 месяцев назад

      I would say a progression read play should have routes that beat multiple defenses. Like a In, drag, corner can. The unique routes or a route that only beats like a cover 3 should be an alert. Let’s say i have a drag, in, corner and a unique route, i’d alert to the unique if it’s c3 but progression read if it’s anything else

Granted in regs ppl quit more, but for the most part, those high rank guys still give comp. It’s just not cut off at tiers like MUT is sadly (used to be a place where you could see the percentile where you ranked against every regs madden player on the platform in regs, would love to see this come back, as it made me like playing games to be in the 1% (got there in just about every madden since by the time I bought the next one)

    Madden community is definitely toxic and I don’t see a difference between people ranked 150000 and people ranked 2800. They all quit their once you shut down their go to’s or shred their defense nonstop. I refused to play ranked or mut for years. Finally played about 70 games in the last couple weeks with 9 losses. Probably 7 from me playing like garbage and 2 from dudes I didn’t t have answers for. Out of all the wins I’d say about 95% of them quit before the game ended. Several of them were up at one point in game by 14+ points. I don’t ever quit but they can’t deal with being exposed. These so called mvp players are usually just kids that spam plays over and over.
