At 20:18 I pointed out a play that I thought would be terrible attacking cover 4 drop zone, but seeing the playart, if you look to the left, the number 1 has an option route. I haven't checked, but it "looks" like he would run a 'fade it out' type route against man, but he would run a hitch against soft zone. When you combine that with the number 2's route on that side . . . You would get the "HOSS" passing concept. Which is theoretically good against cover 3 spot zone. You're attacking that 2nd defender in. If he re-routes the number 2 . . . you can rip it in the hitch. If he widens to the hitch, and doesn't reroute the number 2, you would rip it into the seam route right away. Same is true on the right side of the field. Also on the right, the number 2 is running a dig pattern as an option. I wonder if he runs that IN against Man and cover 4 soft zone. If he does . . . Then you have a potential high low read with that deep dig and the running back over the middle. It's a Service-able concept if what I'm thinking is right with the option routes . . . but it's not something I would hang my hat on with attack drop zone. The other plays I showed in the video are a lot more effective. Peace.

Drop zones or I call fan zones have to have WR sit. Hitches and curls you can also attack with In routes stretched by deep routes. Pin. Concept I have learned Post from outside and inn route.
The 4 220 31 thing you use ironically is very similar to how June Jones teaches his players to think about coverage families, except he'd classify 4 zone and 3 the same and the 6th category would be for match quarters related coverages. Great video as usual.

I would if I have time . . . but if I'm going to make content on a football game, I have to stick to one. Far as the checks, I haven't even checked because I'm almost certain that they won't work. I assume this because of how box wasn't even working until recently. As far as the checks . . . just for clarity, 3 traffic is really a single high check. I only used quarters last year to try to simulate it due to our lack of defensive tools in the game. I had to morph it into a single high coverage. However : All of the Sort , Pentagon , Cluster and etc . . . I almost for certain that they do not work iirc. Just Madden being madden. The thing that made me walk away from the game earlier this year was how they didn't have inside zone split coded right {My favorite run concept - so it pissed me off} , and {They did't have box against bunch coded right - Which pissed me off because I assumed that none of the other checks would work being that we have to base it off of calling quarters in the first place} . . . So I walked away. Game is frustrating . . . but we are stuck with it. I'm also a little frustrated because my internet DCS in almost every game I play online . . . which sucks. But it is what it is. This is a great reminder video. It reminds me sometimes I make things way to complicated searching for an answer when could just keep it simple stupid. One thing I’ve been struggling with however is a c2 spot drop zone that plays or at least appears to be c4 post snap because the coach used the zones of Narnia adjustments. He had his outside corners (c2 defenders) off ball with I’m guessing flats at 10-20 yards and his hooks 10-20 yards so at the snap you’re seeing the corners dropping you take the flat and they damn near pick it off. This dude was using the eagles so of course if I tried to stay patient and wait for things to break open down field his line was screaming at my now defunct oline (Dallas) and noodle arm Rush. Similar to this video how would you deal with c2 with adjusted zones in a simple manner.
Off the top of my head I'm thinking going empty and hi lo the middle of the field. Running the ball with runs best against his fronts because of a soft 7 man box with no safety run fit defenders and no blitzing. Certain rpos. . . . Playaction with hi lows over the mdidle of the field. Lion concept. Just off the top of my head..but that's without me seeing exactly what he was doing.
When im versing cover 3 specifically ( i know its a out cover 4) i like to run a flood concept, to put stress on that nickel corner to see if he wants to do play the flat or the deep out.

Is it possible for you to go over how to attack double Mable style defenses. Or where the defense has a hard flat(around 5-10 yards) and a deep curl flat( around 20-30) yards. Or would the offense be the same ?
I would like to learn why or when to play cover 4 quarters and 4 palms I switch between the two. What difference it works but idk exactly why they different and why and when to use. Can you help ? Also when shading overtop and underneath how does this change this coverage ?
Xando has a ton’s of videos of how Palms and Quarters are different and when to use both of them I suggest you to check them out! Also when shading overtop or underneath it will cancel out the match coverage and it will play spot drop zone just like how it was showed in this video
@@mokylarry1525 quarters in general is used for more passing situations. Palms is quarters but it’s a trap coverage.. the outside corner is reading the release of the #2 receiver, and if he breaks out, than the corner will jump it while the safety will overtake #1. So it’s a quarters that turns into cover 2 depending on the route concept. Since it’s more of a trap 2 than it is pure quarters it can be used in a wider variety of situations

So I’ve already checked that at launch, it no longer works. That’s what happened when they changed/reset the match rules

I usually use drive concepts and curl flat concepts against cover 4. Wr screens and some rpos fry cover 4 as well.

@ it may be a MUT only problem but with the KOs on the field it makes it hard to actually move the ball throw the air on conventional passing concepts
