Betty Champlin - you can speed up or slow down the belt, how much that would create the same effect as a differential Feed would have to be tested. Give it a try with a basting stitch. The differential feed on the serger is awesome for so many treatments.
Benita Hanson - I recorded my earlier videos based on viewer request. You will find all the Luminaire videos ;sewing, embroidery and my design center) in the Luminaire playlist. Embroidery only videos are in Luminaire Embroidery. Luminaire my design Center is in that playlist. Because of Upgrade Kit 1, I am recording new videos and adding them to the New owner playlist. With over 100 luminaire videos it will take me some time to tackle this.
Go to the settings (page 9, I believe) and change the unit of measurement from metric to inches. I prefer metric for stitch sizes and inches for embroidery sizes.

On the dual fool control, can that act or function as the serger does the differential feed system?

I found them in numerical order by searching RUclips with the words “Luminaire New Owner”. Hope this helps.
