And I thought I did not need to look at this. Wrong! This was a big help. Thanks! You are the best!

Thank you for the basics! I too agree that the machine is way too heavy to take to the dealer for classes (and the dealer is not close), so these videos are my lifeline. I look forward to these videos!

Great explanation Terry! I refer back to these videos more than I thought I would when I bought my machine.

Thank you for the instruction. It is basic info if someone has been sewing awhile but it is always good to go over basics every so often. I recently purchased a Solaris but it is too heavy to carry to the dealer for classes so I appreciate your lessons.

Good tutorial .i also use a mirror when changing needles to make sure needle goes through hole in spring that is over needle hole. This keeps your thread behind the needle guide

Hi Terry. I noticed when she put the bobbin on the winder she turned it. Should it be in a certain position? Thank you for these videos, so helpful!

Does Terry do a tutorial or know of any tutorials for VM5200? There are no stores near me that have availability for teaching me how to use my machine.

My dealer recommends to only wind bobbins at half speed, never faster. Full speed can pull the thread too tight and wind unevenly.

Arlene Olson - I was told half speed would increase the amount of thread on the bobbin. Truthfully, I cannot see a distinct difference either way. My bobbins wind fairly evenly.

Brother machines are the worst for winding bobbins. Bobbins never fill, even at full bobbin setting. This means replacing bobbins, during projects, more often. Terrible!
