- This video was recorded to assist new machine owners. In this video, I show you how to use built in videos to aid you in winding bobbins, thread your machine, change needles and presser feet.
Thank you very much Terry for all your super Luminaire tutorials. I will be getting my machine next week. So cannot wait to try this amazing machine.
Thank you for your video tutorial. I just got my Luminaire XP2 and I plan to watch the rest of your video tutorials. Knowledge is power, thank you for providing the knowledge.
And I thought I did not need to look at this. Wrong! This was a big help. Thanks! You are the best!
Thank you for the basics! I too agree that the machine is way too heavy to take to the dealer for classes (and the dealer is not close), so these videos are my lifeline. I look forward to these videos!
What a great idea to add your voice to the on board videos.
Just got my Illuminaire and really appreciate your videos ... Thanks
Great explanation Terry! I refer back to these videos more than I thought I would when I bought my machine.
Thank you for the instruction. It is basic info if someone has been sewing awhile but it is always good to go over basics every so often. I recently purchased a Solaris but it is too heavy to carry to the dealer for classes so I appreciate your lessons.
Thank you for these instructions! Very helpful
Very informative. Love your tutorials. Thank you.
Thanks so much I think I miss threaded mine missing the 2 and got a thread caught inside trying to get it out
Good tutorial .i also use a mirror when changing needles to make sure needle goes through hole in spring that is over needle hole. This keeps your thread behind the needle guide
Hi Terry. I noticed when she put the bobbin on the winder she turned it. Should it be in a certain position? Thank you for these videos, so helpful!
Does Terry do a tutorial or know of any tutorials for VM5200? There are no stores near me that have availability for teaching me how to use my machine.
Thank you Thank You I just started using my machine and I know something is wrong stitches were terrible the tension was all off And I was sure it was the threading,
Teresa Ervin - I hope everything is resolved now.
Where do I find your videos? You mentioned a Facebook group
How are you using a mouse pointer on your machine?
Hi , I just brought the luminaire XP1 and I want to join your Facebook group please. Can you post the name of the group
I have been unable to access your FBgroup despite numerous attempts. Can you help me please
Could you please write out your FB info. so I/we could sign up?
My dealer recommends to only wind bobbins at half speed, never faster. Full speed can pull the thread too tight and wind unevenly.
Arlene Olson - I was told half speed would increase the amount of thread on the bobbin. Truthfully, I cannot see a distinct difference either way. My bobbins wind fairly evenly.
Brother machines are the worst for winding bobbins. Bobbins never fill, even at full bobbin setting. This means replacing bobbins, during projects, more often. Terrible!
