Ok to ANYONE wondering about the lack of switch release from July 28: The game was delayed for switch due to having issues with the controllers, but it’s expected to finally be available in a couple more months which puts it in line with an early fall release. Please help signal boost this- you aren’t being fleeced or anything, it’s just the devs trying to make sure the switch joycon and the game actually function as intended.
They just announced on the game's Discord server that at the time of me leaving this comment, there's going to be a new Switch release date trailer tomorrow, or in the next few hours, depending on the time zone you live in. That's what they plan to do at least
I bought the switch version because I LOVED the idea of being able to play a game like this on the go-it's so chill and requires a lower level of focus than the sort of games I usually play, namely brutally hard platformers. But I just couldn't get used to a game like this on a controller. I feel double bad because I know they worked hard to get it just right, but I ended up buying it again on steam LOL. M+K is just better for this kind of game. Oh well, I paid for the game twice xD
At least once a month I would search the E shop on my Nintendo switch lite: bear and breakfast and nothing came up except for some other bear themed item (I think it was Bear’s restaurant or something). Now I can do a search for that in the E shop and pre-order it!
The animators that worked on this ad are Remus Buznea and Kyriaki Kyriakou (aka Remus & Kiki), they also made some really great animation for a couple of ted talks here on youtube!
I played the demo while back on Steam and enjoyed it. The game is challenging as have to keep guests happy while foraging and working on building. I love the decorating aspect.
Im glad theres at least one of these kinds of games that has you managing something else other than a farm. Like I get it but a farm isn't the only thing you can be running in a sleepy town in the middle of no where.
So sad it got delayed. But I highly appreciate the gaming quality improvement they want to make for the switch release! Glad they actually care about the whole experience ❤️
I literally emailed the company and I'm constantly checking both steam and the eshop for any updates on the game for like the last year or two since its original announcement. so excited we now have a date!

Aw darn. From the trailer I was hoping this was an Octodad type situation, where you have to maintain a B&B (and do general handyman work) as a creature very much not equipped to do so.
I can't wait to play this game! It has this... I dunno how to compare it, but it has the same feel as Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing crossover with a bit of, well, the final season of Gravity Falls or The Owl House.

It takes the challenging elements from the different game genres (farming with little/hard to gather, social that decreases overtime, and dungeon rpg that takes into account the player's stamina gauge). But that's not the point of my comment- I meant that Bear and Breakfast has the same feel to it. In this case, the comparisson is more on the aesthetic element combined with lore (because Stardew Valley is, in a way, has its own kind of ominous setting to it).

in case anyone is confused ill explain the plot so your all caught up this is a post apocalyptic world that has been taken over by zombies after nuclear bombs went off in Europe and America. To survive, you need to keep moving while keeping your distance from zombies, who can't do much damage if they don't get within melee range. As long as you stay alive, there's hope for humanity.
Can't wait for everyone to call this their next cozy and chill game recommendation, then goes back to playing SDV for the 5th time on their next stream.
