I have to join the substantial list of people thanking you for this, I found that it was exactly the advice I needed to help me set up my bike. Thanks!
Thanks! I appreciate both this and the magnet adjust video. I bought one second hand and it has been giving me fits. I am finally all set and appreciate the help!
Just watched after class and really helped me make some micro adjustments. Now it's been well over a year since I rode due to pandemic. I just need to pass through my bum soreness...lol...Cheers
Awesome tutorial works perfect!! Hopefully I’m not the only moron who took like half an hour to set the seat and pedals up perfect while thinking to myself damn these handle bars are low. Only to power up the bike the first time to have it level the front to zero incline from full decline 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks!! Exactly what I was looking for and I think you’re the only one out there. A little more on the install and fastening of the seat would have been good but I guess I got it figured out. It’s a finicky odd thing and that bolt underneath is a pain to access and doesn’t fasten real well unless you REALLY crank on it. Mine kept falling back with a clunk even thought I thought it was pretty darn tight.
Right on! I think I also need to make a slight adjustment to the seat. Lately I've found a numbing sensation after some of the longer rides. I think my seat might need to be dipped a little in the front. I'll pay attention to the torque requirements when I get my seat set back up again. But I'm curious as to what challenge or series you are currently riding? I'm almost done with the October 50 and 100 Mile challenges and just found the New Orleans Haunted Rides, they are quite fun and appropriate for this time of year.
Thanks, I’ve spent some time building my collection, and that’s just part of it. I have more bourbons and whiskeys along with 100+ bottles of wine in the cellar. The wife and I started a meeting hobby together making Wine. I may add some wine making videos in the future.
Hello, Nice vid, helpful much. The fore and aft setup was very valuable. I have saved this video if in fact I start putzing and mess up the ergonomics Do you do vids on searching for series rides.I can't seem to fine the next step of the workout after I finish #1. Example I did #1 ride at Glacier National Park finished that and the coach was going off right to the next session. At 73 I'm lucky to do 1 session let along 2 in a row. Thanks Sarge
Thanks, I’ve spent some time building my collection, and that’s just part of it. I have more bourbons and whiskeys along with 100+ bottles of wine in the cellar. And yes, in moderation of course, but I do enjoy the rewards after a tough workout.

Great info. What about shoes for this bike.. what do u recommend? Also can u talk about the free iFit app that comes with new bike and what is included? Having hard time navigating .
Thank you for the questions. I'll put together a video that answers some of those questions and a few others that I've received. I use these shoes, Shimano Cycling Shoes - amzn.to/2MF11w2 and I picked up these pedals which work nicely as I was able to move the cage from the OEM pedals to these for the other family members that don't have clip shoes, Shimano SPD M324 Pedals - amzn.to/2UqofKN, and these are the shoes that my daughter went with, she absolutely loves them, Daughter's Shoes Tiem - amzn.to/2MM8rhj
Very informative and helpful video - thank you !! My S15i bike is being delivered next week and I will come back to this as I put it together and determine my best riding positions. I've read multiple users with the NordicTrack bikes have also replaced the seat that comes with the bike to something more comfortable. Have you switched out your bike seat at all?
I haven’t switched the seat. I did order some riding shorts, but only used them for a few rides. I am fortunate enough that my backside for used to the seat very quickly. I ride daily and used the shorts maybe 5 times.
This was great one question. For some reason my handle bars feel like they are sloping down. For example an incline of 2 seems more comfortable of course this does not help during Ifit interactive controlled cycles. Is there any way to adjust the slope of the handle bars. It just always feels like i am reaching.
For me the Seat angle is a personal preference, I haven't found anything specific on the ergonomics for that. I tend to tilt the seat down just below horizontal for my personal preference.
It took me about 2 months worth of rides for my backside to get used to the seat. I haven't swapped mine out, but.... I see some folks purchase seats like this... amzn.to/3eHChBx
So far. Weird question. Does yours have a switch on it to turn off. Mine does not, just a hole where the AC adapter plugs in. I have it hooked to a surge protector and just flip the switch on the surge protector to turn on and off.
@@Big-JfromG-A I also have mine plugged into a power strip and just flip that switch. But where the cord connects to the bike is a small red reset switch and it my impression, that is the power switch for the machine.
My daughter is 5'2" and she doesn't have the seat all the way to the bottom. I've also heard from some others that are under 5 feet tall and they can still ride.
There are a few thoughts on the peloton/S22i comparison. My opinion is this, if you prefer the instructor led classroom/studio environment and want to have personal/manual control over the bike (resistance) then the peloton is the right choice. But I’d you prefer being out in nature (more than a studio, NT has studio too) while riding and you don’t want to HAVE to fuss with the resistance and incline, but would rather it be more fluid and natural to the video environment, then the NT is the better option. Both systems have their issues. Neither is a perfect machine. Those are my opinions.
If you adjust the main volume by pressing the buttons on the side it will pop up a screen if you quickly drag the middle of the 3 options up or down that will change the trainers volume.
I have tried everything and this stupid bike is just painful. Kills my knees and my backside! I can ride a regular bike for hours, but 15 minutes on this thing and my butt is on fire. Even with an upgraded padded seat it’s super uncomfortable.
I would check out the French Polynesia Beginner Series. John Peel is a great trainer and spends time explaining things. The other trainer that I like a lot is Tommy Rivers Puzey. His King of the Mountain Switzerland series is really good as well. I did that one as my first series and it was just challenging enough for a relative beginner, even though it sounds more advanced.
To be honest, the first 3 weeks NO! But over time my rump had gotten used to it and now I only feel some saddle soreness on the 60 minute and longer rides. I did buy some padded cycle shorts and used them on 3 rides, but by that point the seat wasn’t too bad. So my wife uses them now.
Is the seat itself moving or is it the seat post that is dipping? I would say it probably needs to be tightened. I would take the post off the bike to give you easier access to the Allen bolt in the bottom.
My daughter is 5’2” and fits just fine. In fact she isn’t even in the lowest position. So I would say there is a very good chance your wife would be able to ride.
Thanks, I’ve spent some time building my collection, and that’s just part of my collection. I have more bourbons and whiskeys along with 100+ bottles of wine in the cellar. The wife and I started a meeting hobby together making Wine. I may add some wine making videos in the future.
I appreciate the feedback. That has been something that I’ve been working on, and one of the main reasons I started to film myself. My goal was to strive to improve my ability to articulate sentences better, and to keep from getting tongue tied. Over time I’m sure things will improve. But again thanks for sharing your observations.
Thanks so much for doing this. I just got my bike and was clueless how it should feel. Great tutorial
Just got my s22i today and gone back to this video bloody helpful thanks again, made a huge difference getting it just right!

I spoke too soon, ifit is now refusing to cooperate again
thanks for your great instruction and I love that your bar is right there for after!!
We all need that extra motivation. The magnets are awesome, but It’s nice to have that “special” reward for completing a tough workout.
Why this information doesn't come with the bike itself is beyond me. I've been searching for ever for instructions on how to get this right.
Just watched after class and really helped me make some micro adjustments. Now it's been well over a year since I rode due to pandemic. I just need to pass through my bum soreness...lol...Cheers
Thank you! Clear and concise video! So many videos I have watched from experts just make it confusing.
Great to hear!
Cheers for this got the s22i coming next week as I've had the upright 4.6 pro since January so this helps ready for when I get it!
Hope you enjoy it!

And, if you put your elbow on the saddle, you should be able to extend your forearm and reach the Jameson, touching it with your fingertips
You saved me. Thought about returning after my first ride
I'm glad I was able to help and allow the bike a chance to redeem itself.
I appreciate this quick easy and straightforward video. You saved my knees from the handle bars lol
I’m glad you found value in the video, thanks for the feedback.
Absolutely a huge help. Just got mine and I'm only 5'. Thank you :)
Great to hear!
Thank you so much for sharing! Now I’m up and running. I will test the bike a this afternoon. Thank you!!
Have fun!

Great video with helpful tips. Thanks so much.

It’s nice having all my favorite things in my little corner of the house. Which Jameson is your favorite? I really love the blenders dog.
Thanks so much! Answered every question...

Thank you, what I came here for!!
Great info, the best video on seat adjustment.
Thank you
This was very helpful! Do you know how I can stop the seat from tilting as I’m riding?
Good video!!! Thank You!!!
This was incredibly helpful, they should have your video posted on their main website and pay you, seriously lol!
Thanks for the feedback and support.

It's a little easier to raise the handlebars if you remove the dumbbells beforehand :)
For sure, 6 pounds are 6 pounds, so if you are having a struggle to raise it, then make it easier on yourself to take the dumbbells off the rack.
Thanks for this info
