    Thanks John! Another concise and to the point video! You have great models in your area. There are a couple of floor level shots that are really fantastic! 🇨🇦

    This is my favourite of the models you work with. She could be wrapped in packing paper and the result would be another terrific shoot. She's a natural. With that said, I'm not ignoring the photography ;-) Your portraits make her shine even more. Cheers, and my best wishes for a great 2025 to you both! //Rick

    Regarding TTL with Godox and Sony, you are absolutely right. It always underexposes by roughly 2 stops. I thought my gear was defective, until I came across your videos where you have mentioned that a few times.

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  16 дней назад +1

      Just have one Sony flash for when you absolutely need TTL. Godox is fine when shooting in manual mode.

    Just got an AD-200pro. Perfect timing for a shoot using that light. Might be a while before I can get the extension peripheral, thought.

    Shadows on the backdrop at the 2m 25s mark. Why would someone find shadows on the backdrop objectionable? Maybe if you are going for "catalog white." But the shadows provide some depth so it doesn't look like the model is a cut-out or floating in space.

    • @kaskoPhoto

      Agreed. Kind of cookie cutter blah without it

    Super curious about the background. I see you are using two separate materials for the background, how to you remove the line due to you using two separate materials?

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  12 дней назад +1

      Just paper. I was down to my final pull on that roll so I used another piece for the floor. That is just the healing brush in Photoshop on the iPad.

  • @eatsimplefood

    Did you have to edit the background where the top meats the bottom. It looks like there must be a shadow

    • @kaskoPhoto
      @kaskoPhoto  16 дней назад +2

      Yes, I took out the seam. I used a separate sheet of white on the floor vs a full pull on the paper.

      We started many years ago when the salon needed a model for a billboard. I walked through the salon and saw her in one of the chairs getting her hair done. She was quiet and a little shy and not at all confident. When the salon heard I picked her for the billboard they all thought I was nuts. And here we are today. 😂😂

    I've followed your work for a long time. Just curious, several of your shots show the left foot forward with a wide angle lens showing exaggerated foreshortening. Honestly, how imporatant is exaggerated foreshortening to you?

      It adds an interesting element to the composition. But its not of major importance
