    CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Susan (Claire Forlani) and a young man (Brad Pitt) share a special moment together after meeting in a coffee shop.
    FILM DESCRIPTION:
The cycle of life on Earth hangs in the balance when Death becomes emotionally involved in this romantic fantasy. William Parrish (Anthony Hopkins) is a tremendously wealthy and powerful man who oversees a worldwide multi-media empire. Despite the loss of his wife, whom he dearly loved, William is content with his life, and he's very close to his two daughters, Allison (Marcia Gay Harden) and Susan (Claire Forlaini). One night, as William is fighting a hostile takeover of his company and Allison is planning an elaborate party to celebrate her dad's 65th birthday, William begins displaying the symptoms of a severe heart attack, and he is visited by a mysterious stranger, Joe Black (Brad Pitt). Joe is actually the angel of death, who has taken the form of a man who recently passed on to pay William a call. It seems that William is due to move on to the next world, but (no great surprise) he doesn't want to go. Joe, on the other hand, is curious to know what life is like for mere mortals, so the two men strike a deal -- William will have some time to get his affairs in order, and Joe will wait and see what it's like to be a human being. Joe decides that he likes it very much when he falls in love with Susan, but negotiating the slippery slopes of romance is no easier for Joe than for any ordinary man. Meet Joe Black is an updated version of Alberto Casella's play Death Takes a Holiday, which was adapted for the screen in 1934.

The script really made this film special. I mean, the casting was brilliant, but the script and the way the characters speak really captivated me. yeah, or when you know you'll never have a chance with them or ruin multiple friendships and your relationship with the person for being too sudden with them. I met a guy that I crushed on the first time I met him, I find it really hard to form connections with people but everything felt right with him. Fast forward I didn't see him for months, I was at my friends 18th and he was there, for some reason people thought we were a couple, we barely even talked to each other the whole time at the party. I get very anxious in social situations and I prefer to stand back, but as the night went on we spent hours and hours talking to each other, we had so much in common, morals, interests and ideologies it was actually scary. I would start to say things and he'd legit guess what I was going to say next to the point where we were laughing so much from how similar we were. Since then we've become really good friends and it's kind of strange because my friends mum thinks we'll get together eventually. I've caught up with him a few times since and I was so scared to think I like him, I mean, we connect so deeply on so many levels but at the same time he's not the guy I ever thought I'd find myself falling for. But I just don't see how it could ever work out, we have quite a vast age difference and because he's practically family (a really close friend and family friend) I could never ruin our friendship.

Besides dying, this happened to me 3 days ago. I was sitting on the tram on my way home, and outta the corner of my eye I kept noticing this girl who was more or less staring at me. I had the gumbo to look at her and oh my god I swear this girl was an angel on earth. I was supposed to get off in a couple minutes, and she never really stopped looking at me. When I pressed the stop button I saw her jolt for a split second, as if awakening from a trance. When I stood up to get off, I stopped for 3 seconds and looked her in the eyes. I could tell she wanted to get off with me, or for me to at least ask or nod at her. But I just panicked and got off. As the tram started leaving, I was walking and cursing at myself, I looked up and her hand was on the window and she was looking right at me. It turned the corner and I've hated myself ever since.
I live in a city with 200,000 people in it, so the chances of me ever seeing her again are slim to none. But God do I hope so

Funny how just this week I had this same conversation with a Pakistani Muslim guy friend who asked me (being that I am a Christian), if given the chance to marry a Muslim guy would I convert to his religion, Islam. I told him 'when GOD ordains two people to marriage, regardless of religious differences, GOD destined those two people to be together and with that they will love and respect each other in spite of their religious differences.' I told him that I would not convert and that I do not expect or will not ask him to convert. If religious differences is the issue, then they aren't meant to be. One must listen to GOD for HE is the deciding factor🛐. Always GOD first IMO.

I didn't have the guts to ask her phone number (no internet, no cell phone back then). I left town, went to the big city, work and study, got a real job, got married, kids. 20 years thereafter I went back for a visit. I found out from an old buddy that she returned the next summer and was asking about me.

I rarely came across such a comment section. Just mature genuine people who tell us about their missed opportunities in love. Shows even though we live in this superficial era some people just are looking for love, the real deal.

She has the most beautiful eyes!!! Never watched this movie from start to finish as it's SO LONG. It's been on in my presence a million times therefore have viewed only in segments.

0:36 'Did I say something wrong?"...very natural acting

I love the meaning behind the bags. For both, their hands were too busy with mundane stuff to handle the knock of love.

To meet someone like this , and have it click from the get go. Its so rare. Especially these days when everyone is just swiping left or right. I miss this kinda meeting. I miss this fated kinda magic so much

I’m sorry but that car accident after such a sweet, romantic scene like that was soooo jarring!!! Soooo over the top and dark as hell, it almost felt like a joke!!!

Its the picture as love is often describe as a car accident due to the way you get overwhelmed by that person
