    the reason the bales are sticking together is the knife on the chamber plunger isn't sharp enough

      Thank you, I'm wondering if the guide bar breaking damaged the knife as it was one bell of a bang.

    Check hay dogs hay, dog springs, rollers on plunger and just put new knifes in it! The knotter is ethier billhook, billhook tenchen , twine disc or twine disc tenchen

    Isn't there a knife up at the top of the bale chamber, so that when the plunger pushes the hay in it cuts it on the side? It might be damaged. Maybe that's why your bales are 'stuck together'?

      @@andrewdougal2262 always used 1500 revs and 540 to the PTO. Finds 2000 revs is to much
