Thanks for the video! Welldone! Just as a note from a fellow Street Triple owner: When draining the oil, have the bike on the side stand as per the manual. This makes the drain plug the lowest point on the bike. Allows the oil to drain faster, and helps drain more oil overall.
Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. I will try that in a couple of days when I do the oil change. I’m also going to be doing a video in the next few days on fitting some clipons to my striple 👍
Thanks for the video, always useful to see someone taking the time to film themselves doing a detailed service! Just an FYI for the fuel tank, before removing the fuel hose, but once the electrical connectors are disconnected, you can crank the bike to remove the pressure in the fuel pump. It will only run for a couple of seconds and cut out but then when you remove the hose it doesn't spray fuel anywhere.
I used tuneecu to balance the throttle bodies. Might use the extension hose and cable (which is written in the service manual) next time so in have more room to adjust.
Those K &N filters can kill you. They fail at the nut weld and leak oil which gets all over the rear tyre.It happened to me last year ...I suffered a huge slide and almost high sided. They are now made in China and are poor quality.Sometimes they literally explode. Please check it out ,don't take my word for it.You are playing Russian Roulette.I bought mine from a reputable online seller and I have 2 Triumph bikes that have had these filters fitted every year with no problems but now I won't ever use them again. The seller did not seem interested after I told him I fitted it myself.I reckon he thought I had over-tightened it but I only ever put them on by hand....the nut is for taking off only.
Thanks for sharing. That’s terrible because KN are expensive and usually top shelf. I have k and n air filters in my motorcycle and considered these for oil. Thank God you’re ok.
Great video mate, gonna have a go on my 2017 RS, it's due its 3yr service but it's only done 1800miles, what's your opinion? Is a similar service to yours enough? Seen many people saying doing valve check etc is a waste of money at such low miles even though its at 3 years.... don't worry I won't blame you if it goes pear shapes.
Valve checks should be done at 12k miles buddy so you should be fine. But I’d ask a dealer or check your service book. Sorry I couldn’t be any more help 👍
Hi mate great video. I have just brought a 2014 street triple r with 10000 on clock. When would u recommend major service some have said 12 but can stretch it to 13 or 14 thousand. Also what's it roughly cost for a major service thanks
Hi thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. As for the service it’s 12,000 miles it involves a valve check I’ve heard of people paying £800 ish for main dealer to as low as £450 at an independent. Personally I wouldn’t push my luck over the mileage. IMHO it’s not worth the risk but that’s a choice you’ll have to make. Sorry I can’t be any more helpful but I hope that helps.
Did you not prime the oil pump before installation?? I've heard you should do that because the oil level will drop quite a to fill it plus all the oil channels. Lucky you the coolant res is down there, on my 2020 striple r its above and forward of the rearset which makes it a bitch to get at.
Hi thanks for the view and comment. Do you mean the oil filter? If so then the answer is no I only put some oil around the oring. And before I start the bike I do flick it over a few times to prime it.
Great video bud, very helpful. I want to have a crack at this… where did you get the crush washers for the coolant? (Assume you got the sump one with the o/filter) 🏍💨 👌
Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. I got the crush washer from eBay but you can order them World of Triumph or fowlers or even Amazon. Hope that helps 👍
Thanks bud, I’ve got all the service items now, just trying to find the correct sized crush washers and the correct coolant, don’t suppose you’ve got part numbers or sizes? 🍻
Nearly 11k but I’ve not been riding due to ill health. But keep an eye on the channel as I’m in the middle of ordering the parts to change it into a Daytona minus the engine 👍
Yeah you’re right about the placement. Even though I cleaned most of oil off there was still quite a bit of smoke when I ran the bike afterwards. Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated 👍
There are such things as oil filter removal tools…. You also don’t even wipe the face of the oil filter housing before you screw the new filter on. Amateurish in the extreme. Sorry but I won’t be watching any more of your ‘instructional’ videos….
Really appreciate this video. Thanks for the effort
No worries thanks for the view and comment it’s very much appreciated 👍

Thanks for the info I’ll definitely try that next time 👍
A good and informative video, thanks for that! Will be doing the very same service for my Triple in a month or so. 🙂
Thanks for the view, comment and sub it’s very much appreciated. Welcome aboard 👍
This is a very informative video. Thank you for showing everything.
Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated 👍
Nice video!! Really useful even for a 2021 model, thank you :)
Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. Glad it’s helped 👍
You should also start the bike with the cap off of the radiator in order to purge any air from your cooling system
Thanks 👍
I’d replaced the triumph oil filter with one from k&n. You can tighten/loosen these with a 17mm socket.

Hello, should we mix antifreeze with water or should we put it pure?
Thanks for the view and comment the coolant I used you use as is no water
@@frbfreeridebeans Please, should I use the antiphthisis pure or mix it with water?

To remove the oid oil filter with a channel lock is ok but no to tight the new one. It will put a dent on it.
Hand-tight on the filter. No need to hulk it.
@AbjectMaelstrom 🤣🤣 didn’t hulk it 🤣🤣it was only hand tight as I’d got oily hands so just nipped it up
@@frbfreeridebeans 😁👍, gotcha. Just be careful. Definitely had some folks hulk it down then I have to wrench it to take it off.
@@frbfreeridebeans how many Km you got on it now?

Wow. Removing the tank just to get to the air filter. They really don’t want you to do your own filters.
It is what it is 🤣
Mantenimiento difícil, muchos tornillos y mucho montaje
No not really if you take your time it’s quiet easy. Thanks for your comment and view it’s much appreciated 👍
What spark plugs do you use?
Hi thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated. The spark plugs are
NGK CR9EK hope that helps 👍
@@frbfreeridebeans Very much, i appreciate it very much!
Great video ... oil filter too tight though.
Thanks for the view and comment it’s much appreciated 👍
The oil filter is such a bad design. If you were to do an oil change while the exhaust is still hot you might have yourself a nice little fire...

Oh please not the pipe grips torquing an oil filter
It was tight as I’d got oil all over my hands 🤣🤣
