As I already explained, the whole idea of no contact is to simply pull-back and allow her the space she needs to either invest in you more, or simply let you go. It can only be a punishment if you are purposely trying to hurt her. But all she has to do is reach-out and make more of an effort, to reciprocate the level of interest you have already shown to her. If she is not willing to do that, then there is no real foundation for a healthy relationship going forward.

Eh idk.. I mean I get the point. But if you're seeing a chick and she isnt texting you first at all, initiating conversation etc.. I would say that's a bad sign. Even if she responds when you text and makes herself available. Depends on what you're looking for but I'd day you're not the number 1 on her interest radar if she isnt getting ahold of you on her own without prompt. You might be the side attention, free dinner guy if that's the situation.

Everyone has their phone with them roughly 80% of the day, if she isn't contacting you, on her own accord, at least once or twice throughout the day/ every two days to touch base and once in a while to set up dates etc, that's a bad sign, and clearly you're not her priority when it comes to her seeking a partner, FWB, or whatever the case may be. Simply put, you've been put on the back burner. If that is the case, cut your "losses", move on, and find someone who actually puts the time and effort into building a connection with you.
However, there needs to be a fine line when it comes to texting. Don't sit around all day waiting for her to reply, and then send paragraphs to her when she does, because that shit gets stale pretty quickly and makes you look like you've got nothing else going on in your life. Easiest way to deal with this entire problem is to simply ask her on a date.
Once you ask a girl on the date she only has two options, she will either ignore/decline or say yes.
If she says no then BAM! You now know she is not interested in you. (delete her number and move onto the next girl)
