Fun fact this movie suppose to release in Netflix But when Jordan peele saw the movie he say it should be meant to seen on Big screen
literally saw this comment top on similar vids like this💀,thanks for the info tho
@@Hil.A i too was about to comment the same about him releasing on Netflix and Jordan buying the movie.
Actually netflix had it, since 2021 - they sat on it for 3yrs. Didn't release it. And in the end they gave it up.
Because it has a fictional Hindu nationalist character, and they were scared of offending Modi and hindu nationalists in India.
Jordan Peele picked it up.
Look at this scene : 3:34 - it looks like Modi.
Netflix dropped it cause they were scared the Indian government would remove it lol
@@mrgyani do you not have life? you are commenting the same thing over and over under all the comments
Dev Patel be like-If they won't give you your own movie, make your own and make it bad ass
Bet u this movie will create controversy in India.
Reason : your observation skill are lul 😀
Currently there is Hindutva wave in our country and this movie Villen is katter Hindu ( same as bal thakre of Mumbai wearing same mala ) hero is from Mumbai slum, back bal thakre made strong statement regarding illegal slums
@@GhostRillley you know absolutely nothing about Sanathan dharma so shut up... He is showing Hanuman in a positive light, unlike Bollywood, so that won't happen
@@RealAryanGupta they hates hindus bro 100% they portrait hindu villain 😂
@@legacy315 the hero is also a hindu... As long as they don't make fun of Sanathan dharma, i don't care who is the villain... Or are you saying a hindu can't be a bad person?
@@RealAryanGupta There is always a Ram and a Ravana
This movie was shot and completed in 2021 itself and also was supposed to release on Netflix. Jordan Peele bought it and felt this was apt for theater release
The movie has a Hindu nationalist character in it.. and Netflix was scared of offending Modi and his bhakts.
That's why they sat on it for 3yrs and then gave it up.
3:34 - look at this scene, it looks like Modi.
@@mrgyani if that's the case then this could face difficulties in release over here

Here comes the cringe Indian
I dislike Jordan Peele so hopefully he’s not trying to culture appropriation
I didn't even know Dev Patel could do action and not just do it but do it so good!!
Have you not seen...THE LAST AIRBENDER...???
There is no last Airbender in basing se@@niteshkumardutt
@@niteshkumarduttI think it's best they not see it
@@niteshkumardutti am pretty sure even Dev didnt dare to watch it 😂😂
He is better actor than randeep Hooda
I should point out that Dev Patel has a black belt in Taekwondo.
25yrs passed, and they still bring out Mundiyan/Punjabi MC everytime in Hollywood lol
😂 i thought the same
@@neshwhat702It was also in The Dictator which had no connection to India still😂
It goes hard in this movie here tho
They used that here with a twist tho, usually it is used as something racist but here it is used as demonstrate power.
They did it on purpose I think.
Dev Patel is spreading his roots, starting with Slumdog Millionaire in Britain and now Monkey Man in Hollywood. I appreciate that both films portray Indian stories filmed in India.
How is showing only the bad sides only the poor sides of our country is spreading roots may I ask?
@@hindbiswas3225Hotel Mumbai was set in one of the most luxurious hotels in India. The Man Who Knew Infinity was about one of the best Indian Mathematicians to ever exist. Lion is a heartfelt, moving and uplifting story based in India and abroad about how a boy re-unites with his birth parents 25 years later. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is well based on what the title says and its about an old foreigner couple who plan to spend their retirement years in India because it is inexpensive, which actually happens in real life too.
@@hindbiswas3225 Slumdog Millionaire is loosely based on Vikas Swarup's novel 'Q & A.' While the movie takes creative liberties, it draws inspiration from real-life events, portraying the struggles and resilience of individuals in the slums of Mumbai. The character Monkey Man is inspired by Hanuman, a legendary figure in Indian mythology. Both films are awe-inspiring because movies are a form of entertainment. Unless you're preferred him to do remakes with the likes of the fantastic 3 Idiots, the excellent English Vinglish, or the renowned Apu trilogy, which chronicles the journey of a man’s life?
@@hindbiswas3225 the film was realistic for its time when it was released. India was as bad as it was portrayed then.
@@hindbiswas3225how can you improve your country if you dont know whats wrong happening in it. Turning a blind eye to the bad side of country isnt solution
Every Dev Patel movie shows India as Gotham city plus this movie trailer looks like Animal mixed with John Wick. Anyways this movie looks amazing and i would definitely want to experience it in the theatres
Animal is nothing infront of monkey man
Slumdog, Lion and now this... Can't agree more...
The Man who knew infinity was an Exception tho..
@@prathamprakash6098 green knight ?
@@ayushshukla6823 I haven't seen Green Knight yet but I m sure that it did not represent India in any way shape or form 😂
well the fact that this movie was shot before animal makes it better
3:21 it shows the quality of windows and walls is better in India than in USA.
LMFAO!!!
Dev going places and he only 33 making his first direct film.
We're very lucky to be witness our great cultural based movies in future too like - Ramayan triology, kalki 2898, kantara the legend, Brahmastra 2 and more to come ❤️🙏
you mean " Hindu" culture? I see no tribal representation, no dravidian lores, North East completely forgotten.
"our" my ass
@@djokerdevilkantara is based on Tulu culture
@@djokerdevil i think he said 'and many more to come'....
@@djokerdevil dravidian lore? The Tamils are proud Hindus, the Cholas, Cheras and Pandyas did their absolute best to preserve Sanatan Dharma, the legacy of the tamils is being the land of temples in India amongst other things. North east is also getting representation, there was a wonderful series called the Last Hour, representing North East pretty well. I agree tribal culture doesn't get much representation but thats because communicating and obtaining information about them is absolutely hard and yet India does have movies representing tribals too, not culturally of course but in other ways.
@@djokerdevilKantara movie based on Tulunadu's age old Animistic culture something beyond the realm of Hinduisms Vedic traditions....
MONKEY MAN Was Produced By Jordan Peele and suppose to come on Netflix but when They show it Jordan He Said it need a Theatrical Release and now its being release in Cinema
Correction! Produced by Dev, Jordan Peele joined the film after Netflix dropped it. This is Dev's baby! ❤
I feel like the concept of Monkey Man is kinda similar to Arvind Adiga's White Tiger. Adarsh's character in that movie and Dev's in this appears to have some similarities.
The movie looks sick. Waiting 🤩
That means jabby is pisces ascendant 😂
I totally understand you jabby.
Finally !! You guyz reacted ❤
Raid vibe cos raid folks are there in the stunt group -Udeh Nans (stunt co-ordinator), Brahim Chab, Wut Kulawat etc
This movie looks fire i can't wait
The trailer looks INCREDIBLE!
2:48 if you didn't notice slum dog 🐕 reference there
I like Dev Patel as an actor.
He doesn't deserve hate just because he starred in Slumdog Millionaire.
Clearly feels like combination of Undisputed and Tom Yum Goong.
This movie deserves a theatre audience whistling and shouting at each punch of the Hero.
After a long time watching some insane action. Thank God it isnt q Netflix movie.
Wish you great success for this.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
5:06 Jaybe always lets the next person share their experience first when he is not ready to express his thoughts or is still gathering them.
Achara is so sweet loved her reaction
This is classic example of ,if they won’t see in something like this….you out and make it yourself!
They released the first spot on twitter with quick new scenes and it looks really good.
WOW, Best trailer of 2024
they even mad the most cliched song sound super cool with the remix
dev is blackbelt in martial marts
The action looks goood..
This trailer is one of the best 2024 trailers . Monkey man will be great.
This is awesome All it’s missing is flipping cars in slow motion 😂
3:34 - ah, so this is why netflix was scared of releasing it.
5:20 jaby was like - me tumhe bs bolty hue dekhna chahta hu 😅
This movie will become unforgettable..trailor was superb ❤

that's one of the best and most badass trailer i have ever seen, like this has to be in my top 5
This depth, action and Dev Patel.🔥
Aside from Deadpool 3 this is my second most anticipated movie and wow go dev it seems as of he has an eye for directing.
wow what an awesome trailer! Im interested in seeing this one for sure!

Dev Patel is a taekwondo black belt, he can do decent action by himself I guess.
John Wick 😳

I was waiting for your reaction from the day trailer was launched
I have to say it... It's the Animal we were hoping for 😅 The colors, style and whole vibe 🔥
I guess u haven't watched Lion of Dev Patel... It's very underrated but starres Nicole Kidman man c'mon... U gotta watch it... Movie name: Lion
Terrific.
Jaby says what's in your head and then he opens his😂. It's amazing how complex his analysis is and how fast he thinks
So glad you watched the trailer!
It looks really epic and awesome! Definitely one of my most anticipated this year 😁

I was hoping that u would either release animal or salaar reaction today 😅 was rlly curious which one would be released…… can’t wait
Waiting for Hi naana reaction with achara
Loved the BGM
Waiting 3 days for this reaction😀❤️👍
Story is, this movie was bought out by Netflix for 30 million. Jordan Peele had early access to view the movie, was super impressed and insisted it needs to come on the big screen first. He took on distribution and that’s why you see Jordan Peeles name on the movie. Or so I've heard.
Awesome Dev Patel! Waiting Monkey Man on the big screen.
I am definitely going to watch with family 😀😀
story, screenplay and directed by : Dev patel❤🔥
Trailer was a rollercoaster🔥💥
Additionally whoever has played sleeping dogs would also recognise the big aquarium scene
Waiting for the review of hi nanna
He's my fav actor
The hindi Trailer has some more shots and one of the scene looks like it is inspired from John Abrahams's knife fight in Rocky Handsome! Actually many things looks like inspirations from indian movies.
I really thought this movie was about the serial killer "monkey man" in delhi 😅
@cinedesi - Jordan Peele saw this trailer before and he liked it very much and it was kind of going to Netflix but Jordan took over wanted this for a Theatrical release
This is dope.
The Indian Tadka(Taste) is 🔥❤😅
Also story by Dev Patel
What an EPIC TRAILER CUT man !!!!
I am excited and worried about this movie @the same time😂😂.
Excited because its good to see representation of talented actors of colour in a big Hollywood Project being backed by one of the very respected producer Jordan Peele!
Plus the trailor is shot beautifully with some good action scenes.
I am worried because I am getting some Slumdog Millionaire/poverty porn/western gaze stereotypes from the trailer. I want to cheer for Dev Patel who is very talented brown actor who has pretty much taken things in his own hands to showcase his action skills but ultimately I am worried that beng a second generation Indian who never really lived in India or experienced India truly, he has shamelessly used same stereotypes which Danny Boyle did in Slum Dog! Using our Gods very superficially to make the colur palette of movie exotic without delving deeper is bit frightening Tbh.😢😢
It is not 'unreal' that matters. Those who can see that this movie mocks India, can see it clearly.Others do not understand western propaganda.@@roronoauchiha69
@@roronoauchiha69I am not sure why he said White monkey? We have never read that Hanuman was white, is this White saviour thing he is going for?? I am not sure what is need for showing so many people wearing Durga masks? I also suspect he will show that he is a lower caste Hindu being exploited. Another thing is showing the villain as a Hindu saint or some one like that. Bollywood also has dearth of ideas and always shows villians either as Pakistanis or Hindu saints! When will be stop doing this hindu muslim thing and bring some new ideas?
Also, Slumdog Millionaire was based on a true story(book) written by an Indian himself
🔥🔥🔥
Animal < Monkey man
😂 nice joke
I understand what Jaby is trying to say about the fight scenes. Rather than a quick action-reaction movement it feels like there is a slight pause in between increasing the reaction time from the antagonists. It so slight but it feels a little awkward for me, it feels like the rhythm is off beat.
martial arts+passion+religious+burn+fusion+remark+fiery
aaalllll in one pact🤜🤛
Dev on rage 🔥
Let's go dev patel
yup the feel of fight is been choreographed is clearly visible on screen ! their/his action moments should have been bit faster..
I don't know........but this is Indian Era......everbudyy should know that...this Hindustan Era all over World......
Jaby didn't you see him doing action in The Last Airbender.
Haha John Wick Indian masala This i like hahahaha Also Sobhita in that satin dress is😍😍🤩🤩
Deshi John Wick, at first seeing the thumbnail i thought its Keanu reevs now i know its Dev patel. The dog scene and the action style is defiantly similar to John Wick.
I saw this video thumbnail say "6hours ago", and I thought, "Damn you're late, JB"
Then I saw the new handle for your channel... Turns out, so was I.
So jaby is magikarp
He does very few films, but Sikander Kher is a scene stealer! Plus, he has successfully escaped being compared with his father, Anupam Kher!
1:44, was that Chitrangada Singh?........i looked into IMDB cast list, she wasn't listed
This is Indian John Wick🤩🤩🤩
❤
AWESOME MOVIE VERY UNDERRATED ACTOR
Green Knight is one of the greatest of this decade and definitely the best work of Dev Patel

3:21 fucked up😂😂😂
Dev Patel as James Bond
Watch the Hindi trailer of it , it has different details in it
Ragaholics assemble here❤❤
And those who don’t know that background music is RAGA and Apashe song called Gasoline.and im biggest fan of Raga!😊
I think Indian mythology really needs a good written, directed, and produced movies. They tried last year but failed miserably I'm not really relegious person but really liked indian mythos and gods as a kid I hope they do more movies based on them.
I dislike Jordan Peele so hopefully he’s not trying to culture appropriation
@@Meepie_Playz jordan is only the producer, i watched the movie and it was perfectly depicted
