  • Day 7 is where we find a fairly nice bear in a great spot! With decent weather and the first half of the hunt over it's time to start making decisions.
The largest bear in North America is the Kodiak Brown bear. As an Alaskan resident, Calvin was fortunate enough to draw a Spring Kodiak Brown Bear tag and go unguided for the ultimate DIY experience. Lots of planning and logistics occur you make this hunt possible from flying to into Kodiak Island to getting to your hunting unit with all your gear. And if that isn’t tough enough, hunting success in this area is no guarantee with an annual success rate around 40%. The thick brush proves to be challenging but Calvin is determined.
Thanks for joining us on the hunt!

Not gonna lie I would prefer one long video or at least 2 decently long parts, its kind of a pain to watch 5 min at a time. That said I still enjoy and appreciate the video, thanks for sharing your hunt/adventure!
