    Sick. I think another helpful point is that the board shifts its line from before the pop to after the pop, so you need to jump forward a little.

    I'm having a hard time getting this trick: if I get a good pop and scoop I'm not able to lift my back foot enough and land with both feet; when I do land it I never get the pop and end up with a simple shove it. Any tips to adjust the pop while lifting the back foot? Thank you 🙏

    I like to put my popping foot a tiny bit more on the heel side so it pops just that little second earlier. It can cause a slight heelflip rotation but I use that to stop the shuv just a little easier

    I've been trying this trick out and it keeps flipping, I think it's my front foot, do I want my front foot fslt km the board or just stand on my toes

      I usually keep my front foot flat around the slightly upper center of the board and just lift it up and place it back down

      What helps me learn. Try to get your feet to your board. Don't try to do the biggest pop shuvit you can do. Kind of like Ollie's you do small Ollie's first and then pop harder and bring your knees higher over time.

      @@mavinmusicmethod thanks Bradley! The more you bend down, the more you'll be able to pop/jump. That extra weight on your back foot makes a huge difference.

      pop shuvs finally clicked and it was largely thanks to keeping that back foot flat. I also focus on squaring my shoulders by dropping my arms in front of the toe side of my board when I bend down to get the right balance and keep the board under me. Getting high pop shuvs with a front foot catch is so satisfying 💪 and been getting lots of compliments on them too! Thank you!!

    Im having issues with my board landing too far out in front of me, any tips?

      Do you know how to do a regular shuvit.

    • @rccollin7699
      @rccollin7699 7 месяцев назад +1

      But you also might be jumping backwards as you are trying to scoop and pop the board.

      @MadMetaGamer 7 месяцев назад

      @@rccollin7699 I know the concept, however I have more success with my pop shuv than I do with the regular shuv it, as crazy as it sounds, the pop just feels more natural

      @MadMetaGamer 7 месяцев назад

      @@rccollin7699 also I have been working on jumping forward when I do my flip tricks , it has definitely helped, however I'm still getting the same results with my pop shuv it, just landing out in front of me, not in the direction I'm rolling but actually to the front of my body

    I'm still stuck on the "landing with one foot for practice" due to fear of fully committing and falling on my wrists if I land primo. I know, I know, people are going to tell me that I'm going to have to take some hits and falls, but yeah still trying to overcome that!

      It's all about commitment. Like landing on your front foot after jumping.
