I love how japan's train system is good enough that you can plan plays with 1 minute accuracy
Imagine this in like Germany on the other hand (pretty good train system as far as connections go, but trains are pretty much always late or somehow not operating at all), that would add a whole lot of "RNG" to the game.

@@krishivraj2361 Only for a bit though, that season was mostly in France and Belgium I believe :) A full scale season in Germany like this would certainly be quite devastating.

After losing a round based off of the use of tower cards, you'd expect that Sam would consider the possibility of a tower card.
I think he needed all of his budget to get the flag to Tokyo, so he really didn’t want to otherwise he’d have to do challenges.

@@ErrorGamesHD It looks pretty suspicious, but looking closely at the way he shuffles, you can see that he always takes a few cards from back of the deck and puts them at the front to shuffle it. This means that the trap tower card was in the middle of the deck and always had another card behind it during shuffeling, so Adam couldn't have known what the card that he pulled was even if he was looking at the backside of the deck.

It’s nice to see Sam actually enjoy Japan. In NZ, he just seemed so focused on winning he couldn’t enjoy just being in NZ - like not going to the waterfall for the sake of time. Sure, he was basically stuck but still nice.
Well, we did see Ben and Adam repeatedly do the not best game theory play to just enjoy, maybe without the extra worm time they could've catch them before they finish the last promise.
In NZ, Be and Adam didn't reckon on Toby's superpower being knitting. It meant that she and Sam could take the shorter route with confidence in that challenge, and was really clutch when they needed to obtain a tie. If they'd had to stop anywhere to buy a tie (or a makeshift one) instead of her knitting one, they'd have missed the early ferry.
it's also a lot easier to enjoy a country on a train rather than actively driving
He did say at the Musem of Toys and Collectibles that he wishes he could stay tho.

My North American brain was like “Clean up 3 pieces of litter, that’s easy” and then I clued into the fact that nobody really litters in Japan
I was so confused by the width/volume of a quarter stipulation because I was like why would anyone need to try to claim things smaller than a quarter count??
Same, that is my favorite challenge that has appeared in the series so far
The fact they made the minimum size just a quarter goes to show how fine they had to make the requirements to make it a doable challenge hahaha

Adam's a good runner, and Adam's also willing to run, willing to make a fool out of himself in public. He's proved that time and time again.

It felt really nice seeing Sam and Adam get to hang out for a bit as they went back to the base. For one thing, they got to enjoy the mountainous countryside as friends, but they also got to have the unique experience of sharing their Jet Lag predictions as it happened in real time!

You can go pretty fast while walking sideways. I also had the same question with u but I've noticed that scotty body movement are always horizontal while he was around the radius of the mud tower

Ben followed the pizza tower rules to the T and charged to his death honourably, meanwhile scotty was basically running with a slight 10 degree angle and called it 'side-walking'

Towers are so powerful. And considering you can basically get one per challenge it adds a lot of difficulty to getting back with the flag.

@@yaboyJJJJJthey can only drop towers at their location. They can't drop it anywhere they want. E.g. Sam is at Niigata and Adam is at omiya, Adam can't drop a tower at Niigata cuz he's not there

This is the best episode by far in the season with the Adam and Sam part but I will admit I was crying, shaking, throwing up in frustration when Scotty tagged Ben AGAIN like..
Ben is lovable but hopeless, Adam is actually brilliant at these,
Hopefully Ben getting caught multiple times in this season doesn't come back to haunt them, because Adam has been playing brilliantly.

If Sam planted the Jail tower so that the train station was just out of reach, he couldve slipped around Adam
Sam would have had to go 3 mi from the station to do that. It would take him 25 minutes MINIMUM to do that

If they had free placement, there's shenanigans to be made. But to run out to place it he'd still have to backtrack straight past Adam and in the footrace I think Adam has the edge.

Sam taking time to go outside and marvel at the mountains while waiting for his next train is what makes Sam so great.
Honestly, one of my biggest enjoyments from these games is when Sam somewhat egotistically thinks he has a brilliant, truly big-brained scheme only for it to fall apart for the simplest reason.
Fair, but in this episode, he was actually paranoid that somehow his plan would fail. Not sure if its egotistical

@@Merusdraconisnah but still. Towards the end he was practically semi sprinting at an odd angle. Especially with these photo tags these margins do matter.
Given how things played out (Ben had to go further towards Scotty because of pizza place closed), I think it was inevitable. And running at an angle is still hampering his speed, which is the intent of the tower.
I agree i think judging by how the video looked he wouldn’t have caught him had he followed the rules but it also seems like scotty doesnt seem to care nearly as much as the others about this which from a viewer’s perspective is less enjoyable to watch his pov

Week 2 of suggesting: They should do Hide and Seek across a city with a lot of rail connections, like London or Singapore. Add Hint Cards which gives you coins to use transport to get to your location, pull as many as you want, but you have to give those hints to the seekers. Eg if you pull 1 hint card to get a mile away from the seeker(s), and the card says to take a photo of the closest animal, you send that to the seeker(s).
I like that idea
Season 3 was basically that.

So many shenanigans in one episode! Also it's nice that Scotty has the Japanese skill to ask about things it seems to really help him out a lot. Makes me want to learn a thing or two in Japanese.
He's got a skill of using the minimum amount of words to communicate. In situations like this, it might even be more useful than actually learning some phrases in a language.
We need Ludwig In next season lets see how smart he actually is
each season they get people that teach physics, engineering maths etc or nebula members as the guest though so that’d be unlikely
