Adam was 100% the MVP of this season gg to both teams.
for sure
true competitor. I like this guy
There should be a trophy for that, you know
hands down the best indeed
he carried it so hard
Sam: Gonna lure him out of his hiding spot
Also Sam: *Doesn't check if he leaves his hiding spot*
Such a dumb move that cost him the game pretty much...
I was screaming at the TV!
Maybe the tracker was off? It's obviously been acting strange this whole game. But yeah, that was... cringeworthy to watch lmao.
@@MaxArthey You can't call it a dumb move, if we don't even know what exactly happened. You have to keep in mind that this is all cut together and we weren't there.
@@MaxArtheyit looks simple on the tracker but Tokyo if you’ve ever been to is an overly complicated city. Kudos to them for just finding the entrances and exits of the stations let alone the vending machines. There are usually 3-4 vending machines together on every corner.
Sam didn't exactly know where Adams hiding spot was, the tracker seemed to be pretty inaccurate for most of the time. He was also at the risk of being tagged himself either by moving too close to the vending machine or by not moving at all since Adam could as well go on the hunt for him which Sam might not immediately notice.
Sam: 'But if they figure about the shinkansen thing, there's *nothing* i can do.'
*immediately cuts to shinkansen pulling in at ueno station*

anyways that train pulling in looked so majestic

bro seeing this now feels like napoleon😂
show has incredible editing
This was a very deserved win. They played extraordinarily throughout the whole season. Also, what a nice touch for Ben to join Adam on the final leg of the return the flag journey.
this is exactly what i was thinking too
The homies will almost be together
Well, I have to say you have been really respectful of Japan by not getting Ben drunk, but we will miss that.
Can't believe it's Sam who almost got drunk
Sam's been drunk in season 2, 3, 6 and Ben's been drunk in season 1, 4, 5, so its actually neck and neck.
Ironically, getting drunk is an integral part of Japanese culture... For example, you are expected to regularly go to a 飲み会 nomikai, literally "drinking meet-up", with your colleagues after work or else you might get shunned (and not promoted). There is also a portmanteau word of 飲む nomu and communication called 飲むニケーション nomunication which describes how Japanese people talk freely about important things when drinking which is more important in Japanese culture than in western culture because their culture values politeness and social order more than honesty and individualism. An employee usually doesn't speak up during a meeting when the boss is explaining the business plan, he waits until they're both drunk to give his opinion.
Long story short: It would have been culturally very appropriate to get drunk in Japan 😂
Ben drinking added a good bit on earlier videos. I think I preferred the first one best, but i am not smart and this one might just be beyond me.

WTF man, i literally was so excited to see this episode, and you just ruined it. I hope you have a horrible day.
Adam saying "sumimasen" with nearly every breath was so funny to me 😂 I am learning Japanese and a Japanese friend asked me: Why you all apologize so much? It is way too much... I think I will tell her to watch this season 😂
I thought the Japanese were all about politeness
"The First Time Ben didn't get drunk" Season is one of the best, intense, and speedy
Cheers to Jet Lag:The Game! For giving us great episodes and seasons
But still mildly disappointing in that we didn't get to see Ben get sloshed then have to pick up a pizza while walking sideways.
Ben got freakin tagged SO many times, and round three was just bruuuuuutal. Seeing him barely manage to evade at the end here was a fantastic pay-off
This whole series has convinced me that Adam is just too good
Once Sam said this last round is all about speed and strategy. I knew who would win.
He’s a bit too OP
31:48 Adam's pride at Ben running warms my heart 🎉❤
Yeah that cracked me up but at the same time it was really sweet
It's character development!
We are all proud of Ben
I need them to got to Germany again just because of their trains on time performance, it’ll add a whole new layer to the game
(It happened and also helped prevent the season ending in 2 episodes 😂)
hey, deusche bahn delays are one thing, but, say, bay area rapid transit is another thing unto itself
(am I jealous because yall have fancy stadler EMUs? Of course!)
(Does that make my statements any less true? No!)

They've been spotted in Belgium (Somewhere in Benelux anyway), on the subreddit, so the next season seems to be Europe again! So potential for Germany. (The sub has since banned posts that spot them for spoiler reasons, but for S8 we know)
The trophy is always the best part. The edits are so silly but they look like they have genuine reactions to the trophy. GGs to both teams!
So goofy
4:29 scotty going the wrong way down the stairs got me 😂
But once you go to his youtube channel and realize it may be a side effect of his previous brain injury I feel awkward D:
Loved this series! It would be great if you could do a season in NYC where you have to claim all the boroughs and take the flags back to Manhattan!
And shed tears of blood as they deal with whatever the MTA is?
Sounds good I like it it'll be funny
there are so few lines once you get out of Manhattan. So many bottle necks and dead ends would make it interesting
NYC, but you can only go on foot or taxi
I believe Ben and Adam are actually from New York (?), so they might have a sizeable advantage right away. But I guess that might not be a big deal, it's still a massive city, knowing it wouldn't be as important and Sam (+ his partner) probably know NYC well enough too.
@@visky549 wait! That is sick. Earn coins to go a certain number of blocks. I could see that working
Ben and Adam played near flawlessly this season, incredibly well played to them
The times on this show when Ben and Adam go full attack mode, like this, just seem almost indefensible. Funny that the only time they've ever been truly thwarted was last episode when Sam and Scotty went full defense.
So happy to see scotty running not sideways
If Scotty had been at his full, forward-walking power for the whole game, he would've won, I'm sure.
💀💀💀
@@vigilantcosmicpenguin8721 he can't even chase Ben even when running forward
Adam is like the mastermind of Jet Lag
Ben and Adam were always better at strategizing and leveraging the game’s rules to their advantage. Sam always had an execution advantage because he could quickly parse his way through all the various travel options and come up with the optimal solution. Adam seems to have caught up with him on that skill, so now he has a pure advantage.
Agreed ^
@@WTJBloganyone can find advantages but it depends on how willing you are to spend all that time scouring to find them and connect them all together to make one huge foolproof plan
Pretty sure I could beat them at Jet Lag: Scotland.
@@InsideInterpreting im sure almost anybody could beat them in their country unless its the u.s.
ben and adam truly wiped the floor with them this season. they won THREE of the four rounds (as they should). really upped their gameplay
If they didnt get screwed by the curse in the third round, it would have been a washout
Props to the researchers who found the locations of the flag. I can’t help but think that it took a lot of time to work out where to place them. Brilliant series!
I doubt it, there are so many vending machines in Japan that they pretty much just had to pick a location and then travel their and scope one out
I know I'm probably starting to become annoying with these leaderboards but I have to keep the streak going! This season was definitely one of the best seasons of Jet Lag: The Game, and a very intense one too! And this tiebreaker was very interesting to watch as well!
(Note: I am not counting the Pilot Season "Crime Spree" that is exclusive to Nebula so please no spoilers!)
Leaderboards:
Adam: 4 Wins (Race To Circumnavigate The Globe, Tag Across Europe, Battle 4 America, Capture The Flag)
Ben: 3 Wins (Race To Circumnavigate The Globe, Battle 4 America, Capture The Flag)
Sam: 2 Wins (Connect 4, Race to the End of the World)
Toby: 1 Win (Race to the End of the World)
Brian: 1 Win (Connect 4)
Scotty: 0 Wins
Joseph: 0 Wins
Ben is now the second Jet Lag: The Game participant to get to three wins! Congratulations!
Adam continues collecting trophies with a spectacular fourth win! Good job Adam!
Honestly my favorite moment was the very nerve-racking moment in the museum, where the lights were off and Sam couldn't spot Ben and Adam :P
Now we are left to wonder how Season 7 will be like.... Until then I guess! :D
Ur not annoying i love what you are doing keep this going this leaderboard thing is really in my interest for some reason lol
Seeing this makes me want Joseph to come back for another season and eventually grab the win. Perhaps the most fitting one would be Jet Lag: Singapore, where one of the challenges should be "gamble in a Singapore casino."
What makes this annoying?

Week 4 of suggesting: They should do Hide and Seek across a city/country with a lot of rail connections, like London, Singapore, Switzerland, Hong Kong. Add Hint Cards which gives you coins to use transport to get to your location, pull as many as you want, but you have to give those hints to the seekers. Eg if you pull 1 hint card to get a mile away from the seeker(s), and the card says to take a photo of the closest animal, you send that to the seeker(s). (There is no tracker) They can either do it like Tag Across Europe with 2 seekers and 1 hider, no guests, or they wait till Season 10 and get all the guests from other seasons on the game. When you hide, you rack up Points, and if you get found your points stop going in to your balance. At the end of the game, whoever has the most points wins, and if the top 2 are tied, there will be a sudden death round. Edit: The replies are Twitter
That actually sounds good

Cant wait for Tag Across Europe 2. The first one and this one are my two favorite seasons, maybe because they rely too much on public transport which is something I love.
I think they are better than car seasons. With a car you are just driving all the time. Might be easier to film, but with public transport you have a larger range of strategies.
@@whocares2277 Also lots of stuff can go wrong! With a car you can just jump in and go, while with public transport you gotta time it correctly and plan ahead for it to work. Makes it more interesting.
What about Tag Across Japan.
Definitely! The moment when Sam is crossing over to Germany and got hit with all the train cancellations by the Deutsche Bahn made me laugh so hard xD And it throws a wrench in elaborate game finishing plans which can lead to an exciting chase!
I think there should be like a hide and seek or like something that includes teamwork. Something along the lines of that as a season in the UK. (Not Northern Ireland)
This channel is so addicting. I found their tag across Europe series by mere coincidence last week and ended up binging it. Now I'm watching their other series. It's so good it honestly could've been a tv show
Ben and Adam SO deserved that. Another amazing season of Jet Lagged. Please never stop this series!
The Akihabara flag vending machine is in the infamous "creepy corner" oh my god.
What's creepy about it?
@@ItsSansom it's a bit of a meme from what I understand, the vending machines have a lot of "mystery items" in them (you can kind of see it with the one Adam goes to, everything is wrapped in white paper so you don't know what you're buying) and there are a lot of them that are sort of in a maze under a residential building. I think it's more of a manufactured thing to drum up business than anything genuinely creepy, but that corner is really recognizable.
@@PhoenyxV I guess, once the country already has vending machines for everything someone could ask for, the only remaining option is to make one where they don't know what they're asking for.
The swapping hats bit over the days was my favorite thing
Ben finally managing to outrun Scotty was satisfying to watch
Train seasons are always so addictive, hope they do more of them!
I was continuously thinking: why don't you take a bus !
You guys did a Tag across London with Tom Scott, i think the UK would be the perfect place for the next season and Tom Scott would be the perfect partner.
I would love to see you take that Tag across London concept and expand it to the whole UK and make a full Season out of it!
It would not be fair as Tom Scott lives in London so he has a home advantage
@@Thatclimbingirl Yeah, see Season 5.
Futhermore, Tom Scott is quitting youtube soon
@@andr3asala Wait, what?!

I've realized that I spend entire seasons rooting against Sam (and just Sam, never the guest!) simply because he's the more public facing person for Wendover/HAI, only to feel bad for him when Ben & Adam win in nailbiters like this. You all remind me of the joy of travel & exploration, and for that I can't thank you enough!
(also love seeing my home state represented so well!)
me too
Awesome season, big congrats to Adam and Ben!
Also: I fear the trophy presentation in Season 7.
Suggestions for a future season:
1. Blessing cards; cards that give minimal coins, but a major superpower for a short period: invisibility (The tracker is turned off or deactivated); coin multipliers; invincibility (cannot be tagged or at least can't have coins stolen). Possible balance for these cards: can't pull another challenge card for X mins
2. Trap cards have the ability to cancel out the effect of another trap card. This is a one-to-one sort of cancellation so like the pizza tower canceling out the effects of the ice tower.
3. Ben or Adam can't be a contestant in a future season but can be a "mastermind" that either team can pay a lot of coins to basically phone a friend to for advice or help on the best step for the game. The mastermind has to help whoever most recently paid him coins so you pay him. He's on your side but he'll help the next team that pays him as well.
Bruh can’t have a season without Ben and Adam
“Cant go under the temple it’s disrespectful” can we have more people like adam?
Credit for the good intentions, but that’s just the Kaminarimon and Adam 100% absolutely could have walked (running could be rude maybe, but we see that when he goes around it he’s walking anyway) through it; by 10 am it’d be flooded with both Japanese and foreign tourists lol
The Kaminarimon is technically the gate to the Sensoji temple, but it opens directly on Nakamise-dori. This area contains a ton of souvenir and food stalls. The temple proper is about a quarter of a mile in, behind a second, inner gate (Hozomon). There’s a Starbucks right behind and off to the side of Kaminarimon lol
You actually are only prohibited from going under the gates at its center, because that's reserved for the kami. The sides are okay.
We all have to agree this was the most intense season ever
no tag in eu was so close and much more intense
@@linuscheung3972 I disagree, this season was like season 3 but better imo
Apart from last episode where they just followed each other and got exceedingly boring
I would say season 5 was great and may be the best
@@WhoShortsVids i strongly disagree, last episode was the best episode of the season, it had so many intense moments
Stumbled across this channel randomly a few days ago, as someone who watches a lot of youtube I can honestly say that this is the most incredible, original, fun series that I’ve ever seen. Excellent job guys, I can’t wait to start watching the other seasons.
The entire thing was so intense and fast-paced
I'm new to Jet Lag. I watched every season within the last couple of weeks on the recommendation of Taran Armstrong. Today's finale is the first one I saw on the day of release. This was such a fun season. I think this episode kind of spoke to why I tend to cheer for Adam/Ben. Their overall strategy usually seems to be better. The difference between them and Sam/Scotty across the whole season was that Adam/Ben only seemed to go for tags when they felt they were advantageous. Sam/Scotty seemed to make tagging a priority and while that can work at times, it's not an optimal strategy. It feels like if they would have responded more to the events of the game as opposed to dictating them, they could have won.
Well Ben and Adam make the game every season so they are normally at a natural advantage because they know the best strategy from the get go. That’s why Sam is always trying to study a ton because he is trying to gain ground strategically speaking
I don't think I agree with this. Sam and Scotty revolved their strategy in the last round heavily around responding to whatever Ben and Adam were doing and acting accordingly, and it paid off very well. Unfortunately, this time it seemed like Adam had a plan that was just basically impossible for Sam to react to in an effective manner, which is part of the risk of strategies that revolve around reacting to the opponent.
Just curious, but where did Taran recommend Jet Lag? I think I missed it.
@@PedroVieira1509 Taran does Jet Lag watch parties on his Twitch channel. It's super fun and he comments alot of strategy/game design
@@TheBlueWizzrobemo the main component was time. Sam spends literal hours just looking for any advantage and with only 3 hours, that isn’t possible
That was some great nailbiting stuff! Shame Scotty suddenly got so muddled on the trains, must have been the pressure. At this point I think Adam is a master strategist, and Ben is a sweet fuzzy machivalian. Let's hear it for Luigi and Wario!
its like Sam and Scotty didn't realize the other team could look at their tracker the whole game and just played, the "lets hope they are dumb" strategy
I seriously look forward to these episodes each week! I love how you plan it out so well and change I up each season. Can't wait for season 7!

All of this could’ve been avoided if Sam didn’t walk round aimlessly at the start without checking where Adam was

@@lucas1984 he still should’ve been way more aware than he was

Idea for next season: I would love to see a "race to visit as many european countries as possible" like the one in the US. I really like the tracker off seasons, and I think that would be exciting!
I love this idea a lot! Bonus points if they go outside of just western Europe (obviously not to anywhere dangerous). In the tag season it kind of would have been better if they went to more countries and went through more cultures to show what truly is in Europe, rather than just a handful of countries. A "visit the most countries challenge" would most definitely have that area of Europe. I would also be interested to see what strategy microstates add in. Someone who has the vatican and san marino could instantly always battle challenge italy without those countries being able to be challenged (assuming they go by same rules). Really good concept, hope they see this!
if you somehow make it to russia, instant win
Anywhere in europe is safe, apart from eastern ukraine

I really enjoyed the individuality of this season a lot, we got to know Ben and Adam as people more (I will never forget Ben's amazing move at Omiya or Adam's amazing capture of also Sam...wait, they both got Sam in the same way xD) and I especially love how we got to know Scotty as a newbie more than any other newbie before because he wasn't attached to Sam's hip as his teammate. I do love Brian and want him to come back (although maybe he can only do American seasons? Despite like...being Irish xD) but I enjoyed Scotty too.
The only thing that I wish we could see more of this season was the challenges you sped up or referencing the rest periods more. We know you had them during rounds cuz you were all well rested but I missed the little "now it's time for the rest period, we are off to sleep" You don't have to show us the rest periods if you don't want to (like the one in season 2) but at least mention them.
Btw, was Sam referencing the previous season with "Got"? Haha, that was hilarious, I actually think this was the season where you truly showed us how funny you can also be Sam, more of that please!
In the special interview they did on another channel, Sam made the comment that he wanted to be more likeable on screen because of negative comments. I definitely think he made some great adjustments to his thinking this season, and I can't wait for season 7!
