I remember customising all the trucks at the dealership to make them look nice, I can't understand why they changed it (For those who don't know, in the old dealership the trucks didn't change back to stock when you selected a different model/version after modifying them)
That is one of the few huge mistake did by SCS. The old dealership are so welcoming and cool unlike the new one which is ok but a huge downgrade from the old one. I swear the old truck dealership could've won an award. The another huge mistake did by SCS is the loading screen. The old one is more creative and nicer to look at.What is even better is that the loading screen picture changes and not just the same one shown.
9 years old and this game still gets updates regularly. It's been massively overhauled multiple times. SCS need a huge applause for what they had achieved so far. They are really passionate about it

The thing with farming simulator is they missed the trick, instead of keeping a game updated and fresh, they sold out and wanted to make a new one every year; which turned it into a dead niche product that only a few hardcore fans buy.
It's kind of crazy it came out in 2012, was shown it by a friend and the graphics looked so realistic, wasn't until 2017 that I managed to get a copy, played on a laptop keyboard for a bit, until finally getting a wheel in 2020.
It's soo nostalgic. I remember playing EURO TRUCK SIM 2 on my brothers PC. Might have reset the progress a few times..........but were not gonna talk about that.
This is absolutely incredible on how the game changed over nearly a decade. That grey panel part on the Scania R 2009 should have been retained but SCS changed it to a painted panel instead in v1.23/1.24 (it remained grey from its release up to v1.22).
I've always liked the old Scania sound. And of all the trucks, I wanted a Renault premium. My father had a Premium DCi and I really liked it, so I wanted this particular truck in the game, the old car dealership music reminds me of him. I've been playing this game since 2012, since the very first version, and I still haven't lost interest in it

good memories! In the past, this game looked really good and I wondered if it could be any better than this. Looking at the empty areas on the border of the map, I used to wonder if the map could be extended to Spain, Northern Europe and Russia. As of 2021, all your dreams in the past have already become reality! I enjoyed the demo version as soon as the game was released in late 2012. At that time, I was too young to know how to purchase the game, so I only played the demo version for over 2 years. After completing 6 or 7 shipments, I made a new game profile countless times. And around 2014, I paid about 20-25 Euros and finally bought the game. Seeing the game improving day by day, it seems like a great investment. Especially the update of weather graphics and lighting effects a while ago was a big revolution. :)
After all this time, thanks to scs this game never gets boring. When I play ets2 it reminds me of the old times but with its new awesome look. Its not that I want to play old games, it is the feeling from the past that I want to have back while playing these games back in the days:))
i remember playing it in 2013 and 2014, man i felt that something was weird about it compared to popular games at the time such as test drive unlimited 2 ... now i know that it basically was waaaaay ahead of it's time technically and in terms of art and whatever.
Now for truck dealers I prefer the older style of the interior I even prefer the music that played as you purchase and customise the truck is there a way to experience that again maybe a mod or something?
When I played Ets 1 for the first time, I borrowed a USB stick from my friend. The year is 2012. I played Ets 2 for the first time at the Internet Cafe. After that day, I continued to play Ets 2 on low graphics with my garbage computer. Now the year is 2021. I am 18 years old and I have a university exam in 9 months. I hope my exam goes well and I have a chance to play Ets 2 on a good computer. Thanks for everything scs.
The game evolution is really impressiv, honestly i see the same evolution on ATS and I like the realistic thing here. I added few mods to see Real Compagny name and real sport car, truck and moto on the game .. and its totaly crazy!
Played since 2013, seeing the comparison between them makes me feel so melancholic, this game made me learn the road rules and the meaning of the signs when i was still 14yr at 2013. Made me also to obey the speedlimit or else all your money will be gone in just 1km 😆
In my opinion there are some good parts from the original game comparing it to today. For example partially the lighting system , the rain and even some graphics I find them better/little bit more realistic in 2012 than they're now. Also I like 2012's loading screen , sat nav , and truck dealers (although I can say I had no clue the've changed that because I'm always buying online 😅). Obviously there are a lot of good parts for the actual game , more truck functions (functional windows , adjustable suspension , air horn , retarders etc) , more tunning options , ownable trailers , more truck models , map redesigns/expansions... And after all this time I still enjoy trucking around Europe , especially after new updates.
SCS Software its still one of the few companies that really cares about feedback from its community. They are to be congratulated with their work

i remember playing it in 2013 and 2014, man i felt that something was weird about it compared to popular games at the time such as test drive unlimited 2 ... now i know that it basically was waaaaay ahead of it's time technically and in terms of art and whatever.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 was also incredible, since then there has never been a racing game like it.
Dang, this brings so much memories back
When you showed the dealership, all my 2012-2014 memories came back..
Now for truck dealers I prefer the older style of the interior I even prefer the music that played as you purchase and customise the truck is there a way to experience that again maybe a mod or something?
Oh that's a lot of awesome memories in 2013 when I start playing
Didn’t realize how much has changed until the side-by-side comparison.
I just discover this game and bought it in almost 2022 😀
I love it because I worked two years as truck operator.
Thanks for everything scs.
nice history of our lovely game. 9 years have passed
How did you get the old version? The nostalgia that hit me when i saw this video was a lot
I has older one
@@NOAH-qr9ob okay... that doesn't help. Where did you get it?
You've put in a lot of effort in this video, thank you dude 😁👍
6:29 Scania truck driving simulator sound😁
The game evolution is really impressiv, honestly i see the same evolution on ATS and I like the realistic thing here. I added few mods to see Real Compagny name and real sport car, truck and moto on the game .. and its totaly crazy!
11:15 aaah yess, I remember these sounds very well.....
It's cool to see alot of the older things in the new game
i play this since 2012 and this game got just better and better
I do miss the old showrooms...
We miss old truck dealer...
Few truck dealers building in current versions would be a great opportunity to design them back from scratch
Aaah, I remember 2012 when I played this game and next year is it 10 years anniversary.
Cool BRO👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
I felt proud to see its evolution even though I only got the game this year!
Looks awesome comparing 2012 to 2021
Nice video, Mate! The truck dealership was look AWESOME in 2012 👌 U can make a same comparission video with ATS?
Thx for this I loved the old version it was okay but now I love the new version
I miss this game. I played it since its first franchise of euro truck simulator.
Played since 2013, seeing the comparison between them makes me feel so melancholic, this game made me learn the road rules and the meaning of the signs when i was still 14yr at 2013. Made me also to obey the speedlimit or else all your money will be gone in just 1km 😆
Nice Video :o) - I'm missing the old showroom music :(
I remember to always jump over the fence on every big dealers using it's ramp lol
The 2012 hits with different vibes
Well
This sure do bring up some memories
He is not just teeling stories, he is changing lives 😍
