To make the challenges more interesting, they should have a prizepool for each and whatever the successful amount goes to the faithful bank while the remaining cash goes to the Traitors bank. This would be interesting to see the ambiguity it would cause, while giving the faithfuls a little more to go on.
Could be a great solution but would change the game mechanism a bit. Still would be a good starting point.
If they know exactly how many traitors there are, then in the final they'll know if they're all faithfulls for sure or if at least one of them is not, and I think they want to be a surprise the revelation.
This game is already so stacked against the faithfulls, because let's be honest, it is almost impossible for you to win this show being a faithfull. they should make it easier for them. Give them something to go off of
What if you won the challenge you can reveal someone’s identity (in secret of course)
We bring this up in our episode 4 recap.
Great conversation. I personally enjoyed how you guys talked about strong points and flaws of the game/system.
It’s tough, the show definitely needs to add ways here and there to learn about traitor identities, but then how do you prevent the traitors from just immediately killing the person that won said abilities/hints. Or how do they prevent the traitors from killing the people that don’t apply to hints given. Part of what makes the show so intriguing I guess!!
Yeah it's a tricky balance, which is why this show is so difficult from a production standpoint. There are clear advantages and disadvantages for both sides, so everyone has to play the game differently. It's what makes the show good and flawed.
First time watching the Traitors and liked it a lot. Super happy Dan is a Traitor. Not a huge Big brother guy but even I know how great he is.
Some of the non game stuff is a bit over the top and idk why they have Larsa Pippen on the show.
On that last sentence, for drama I guess
@@clutchhattrick8767True. I hope she’s eliminated soon because she is insufferable
This seems like the only answer. @@clutchhattrick8767
The first season was a great watch. You should check it out. It does falter a bit in the back end. Hoping they solved those game issues for this season!
There was a murder in plain sight in a previous version (via kiss of death) . And if the murder was not done by midnight, then no murder takes place that night . I would assume that the same will take place now which would be why parviti mentioned time is running out. This would create drama as now the house need to figure out why no murder took place when everyone attends breakfast.
This makes sense! Thanks for pointing this out! What version of the show was this in?
It was UK season 1.
UK Season 2 also has a murder in plain sight. But season 2 of UK is also the the poison chalice as in US season 2. But it's currently still playing out. Will have to wait for the next episode to see if it's any different.
I am curious to see what is meant by the slow effects of the death. That is new from UK season 1. In that the person just died immediately.
Wow you two are both fun suckers
Fun is the worst.
I’m with you Phil. I enjoyed it a lot. The one negative is the weird shots of wolves, the challenges, etc. Just seems like they’re trying super hard to hit 60 min on the episodes
Yeah it feels like they really want 60 minutes but they don’t NEED them. Will be interesting to see what they have for future episodes.
Prefacing this with I like you guys, and the Traitors and will continue to watch but offering my constructive criticism, as you guys do on the show.
Will said something about halfway through along the lines of “there’s nothing to say about the positive things”, that’s absurd. You can talk about the things you liked, or thought were funny, or thought were dumb and why you thought that way. Or joke about a moment, such as larsa being like “I have great hearing I could hear him pick you”
There was 3 hours of content last night and maybe 5 minutes of the podcast was spent talking about funny moments, drama, strategy, etc. I don’t like the challenges and don’t think the game is perfect so critique it all you want, just don’t personally enjoy that being 90% of the podcast
Thank you for ACTUALLY providing constructive criticism lol. Will keep it in mind moving forward! Thankfully I (Phil) wont be podcasting at 1 am moving forward so I’ll be happier.
Appreciate the feedback! For me, talking about things that we really like just doesn't provide as much thought provoking conversation. Once you like something, it sort of starts and ends the conversation right there. Whereas pointing out things that don't quite work allows us to provide our opinions on the flaws and potential solutions moving forward. It's extending the conversation beyond what we see on the show, instead of just recapping what everyone just watched. And hey maybe that's not for everyone, and that's okay.
I do think we spent a good amount of time on positives and strategy: the chalice, the recruitment, the strategy of Kevin and Peter, how Dan defended himself. Did we spend as much time on that as we did about how we would fix things that are broken? No. But again, explaining and attempting to fix the shortcomings is something we both enjoy discussing. But definitely hear the criticism and appreciate it.
I just want toi point out that there have been similar versions of the traitors where faithfuls have won so it is possible for faithfuls to win.
It can definitely happen. The odds just aren’t in the favor of the faithfuls at all. Did these other shows have recruiting or did they let the traitors dwindle?
They had recruiting like the us version.
bergie is no slouch
Curious how he's going to factor into the end game of this season. Could see him shocking people or just fizzling out and being unceremoniously murdered.
he will shock people bc he is so underestimated@@survivorspecialists
I'd love to see it happen!
Was super fun. Hoping Dan sticks around. “Wild” to see Wilder crying over this
WILD!! Couldn't believe how emotional he was getting!
About the discussion of why aren’t the players not told the exact amount of traitors. The reason is the finale format, if the players know they started the game with 3 traitors and they only banished 2 before the finale they know for a fact they have a traitor left which will ruin the “will you continue voting” of the finale
True. However, they also know there are recruitments now, and they know that people can turn down recruitment.
@@survivorspecialists true, but historically recruitments only happen when a traitor has been eliminated and when it happens no one gets murdered so the faithful knows an attempt at recruiting has taken place so they can always keep count of how many traitors are in the game and if they are wrong thinking a recruitment happened successfully since no one wants to admit they got an offer and refused, they will be overestimating the amount of traitors which is again bad for the traitors in the end game as if you’re a sole traitor you want the faith to believe they banished all of them
Has anyone in Canada been able to watch the show online ? 😭
Parvati had a certain amount of time because it was almost bedtime and they wouldn’t have been able to eliminate someone if they got called for bed
Got it! Did they actually say that and we just missed it? Definitely makes sense that this is a thing though!
@@survivorspecialists that’s what Parvati said as she was going around to try to figure out who to give it to. She said they were going to make them leave for bedtime so she needed to hurry up.
@@lamorena6379good catch! I just totally missed those words. But that make sense!
Do you guys watch the traitors uk?
Haven't watched it yet, but have heard good things. Is it worth it in your opinion?
@@survivorspecialistsa lot of the challenges are mostly the same, but given the challenges are the weakest part of the traitors anyway it's not like you can't just skip to the end. They cast actual normal people not reality stars which honestly makes it a bit different and probably better imo. UK season 1 was better than US and so far UK season 2 is better for me.
The host is much better. And the contestants are more real...they actually need the money
I am catching up on your coverage of Traitors and just wanted to add (if you haven't started it yet) that I think the UK Traitors (both 1 & 2) are the best of all the iterations... even with all "normies."
